Jacksonville Beach Cottage

It's a Paradise Cottage!! Located at the quiet end of Jax Beach, a short 1.5 block walk or bike ride to the water. Quaint 3 bedroom home. 2 queen and one double sized bed. Only 2 blocks from exclusive Ponte Vedra Beach as well. Enjoy a quiet and peaceful vacation get-away. This home comes complete with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans throughout, cable TV, tile, hardwood flooring, and an outside shower for cleaning off the beach sand. You'll enjoy the ocean breezes in the evenings on our front chairs provided of course!

Take a bike ride to Starbucks in the morning or go for that early morning beach walk. Attend the Sea Pavilion for concerts, outdoor movies and festivals. Golfers have a five-minute drive to Sawgrass TPC. Historic St. Augustine, the nations oldest city is an approximate 30 minute drive. Just over an hour to the Daytona Speedway, and two hours to Mickey Mouse. Also within close proximity to the Mayo Clinic.

Home provides beach chairs, beach cart, 3 adult bikes, 2 child bikes with color coded locks. Beach towels, dishes, bath towels, linens, coffee pot, washer/dryer. One smaller stroller as well as an all terrain stroller. Pack 'n Play as well

If you are there on a Sunday or Wed evening please put out the garbage. Tuesday night please put out the recycle.... Enjoy your stay

The host is responsive and attentive if you have questions. Just a few blocks to the massive beach where you can walk for miles. In a great neighborhood where you can also walk safely. The beds were acceptable, but not great. A comfortable cottage that feels like old Florida and decorated very nice.

You couldn’t ask for a better location! It was our first time in Jacksonville beach and we were so happy to be farther away from the busyness surrounding the pier. The beach was quiet and family friendly.The house fit our family of five just right. Honestly the bikes, beach wagons, umbrella, and boogie boards made the trips to the beach so much better and was a pleasant surprise. The only thing that we felt would make this house better would be to make the outdoor shower enclosed. It was great to get sandy feet rinsed off but with the neighbors house windows directly above the shower, the kids couldn’t get their bodies sand free while having to stay dressed. A lot more sand was tracked inside due to this.We will be back!

The Salty Air Retreat is charming, tastefully decorated and the perfect place for my husband to recover from his surgeries at Mayo. The cottage is in a lovely residential neighborhood, with a sweet little front porch that we enjoyed relaxing on, nice and quiet, very close to Mayo and a five minute walk to the beach. Just perfect!D’Ann was very gracious and accommodated our needs. I could not have asked for a more relaxing stay during this very stressful time.

We really loved this Airbnb overall. It was clean, cozy, and a great place to stay! Just a quick heads-up for future guests: we noticed there were very limited supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry detergent, and no shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, or body wash provided. It wasn’t a huge issue for us, as its close to town but something to keep in mind so you can come fully prepared. Otherwise, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay again!

I live in the Pacfic NW now, but growing up in a small southern Calif beach community I wanted somewhere I could go and get my sunshine. My family lives just a few blocks away so this seemed like the perfect home for me.

Why they chose this property

I fell in love with the charm of this home and the fact that it is so close to the water. The location is great for having to get just about anywhere, stores are so close by. The neighborhood is a quiet relaxing beach community. Lots of walkers, runners, bicycles, etc.
