There were 16 of us and each couple got their own room! Definitely not a good place for people with mobility issues, but we all welcomed the extra exercise from all of the stairs! Our friends could not get over how perfect this place was. There were plenty of bathrooms and plenty of places to sit and play cards and have fun! The location could not have been more perfect. we are glad we all had SUVs because the rain made the driveways a little muddy. Everyone really enjoyed their stay. It was so close to the reptile zoo and the kayaking and we love the little goats next door.. our bed was very comfortable. The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions.
The pictures were decent on the listing but we were all amazed at the unique construction of the property and the amazing views from the penthouse. We loved every minute and would stay again
This is our 2 year in this house, it’s a good place to spend Christmas with the family is has alot of space. They only need to fix the locks on the restroom because if you have a big family or go with friends they going to open the door when you’re doing your business because they don’t work. But we really enjoy staying there. (There are wolves around we can heard them at night)
Kitchen furnishings need to accommodate the number of sleepers. We had 22 people and barely adequate for our large group, even with renting the upper unit. A few burned out light bulbs, jiggly handles, loose steps, ants in the kitchen and bedrooms, no lock on the main bathroom door, upstairs cable didn't work, and stairway railing broke. But, very fun location, the layout of the house was neat, the beds were comfy and the hot tub and sauna were a big hit. We had a great time with lots of laughs. Thanks for opening up your house to us. Would stay again!!!
We booked the Big House to accommodate our large group. The house was clean, safe and had great views. Can’t get any closer to the hiking and climbing in the area! The large kitchens made for great family dinners each night. And the hot tub and sauna rounded out the fun. Note there are a number of stairs to navigate outside and in. We visited during the devastating Helene Hurricane and lost WiFi and TV. No issues with gas, electricity and had plenty of hot water. The hosts were available as we managed the storm. Will definitely return and recommend!
Third floor is private. Two rooms where the grandparents stayed. Has a bathroom and kitchen and lovely views. First and second floors are fun and quirky. Center winding staircase around a rock wall. Plenty of bathrooms. Nice and plentiful linens. Kitchen held all 18 of us for meals. To get from third floor is an outside staircase. Nice sauna and hot tub. Enough parking for four vehicles.
We rented both the top & bottom cabins for our large family of 23.
- Cabin design is quirky but makes it very cool
- NOT handicap friendly even the bathroom has stairs
- Water stopped working in both cabins however the property manager sent someone over to fix ASAP
- 2 bedrooms do not have vents & guests were hot at nt
- Location made up for all the issues
- Place could use a good cleaning especially the window sills. There were thick layers of dust and dead bugs.
- Supposed to have 3 full bathrooms but top floor shower does not work at all
The Big House had enough sleeping and gathering space for our group of 24 adults. Had everything we needed to cook our meals. Susan was very responsive when we were having gateway/internet/ tv issues. Great location. Towels, dish soap, hand soap, toilet paper all provided. Brought our own paper towels, napkins, dishwasher detergent etc. Some seasonings are there. Close to Natural Bridge, kayaking and climbing.
Please be aware the directions to get to house are a little out of date. The entrance to road going back to house is through Miguel's climbing store parking lot. Next door to Miguel's pizza. Once in parking lot go to far end and turn left on road. From there follow signs and directions. Cannot turn in on drive with the tree in the island it is blocked off with chain.
Was a great rental experience and would recommend.
Great location with lots of fun opportunities nearby. Beautiful scenery to explore. We were able to accommodate our whole family, kids and grandkids easily and spent many hours outdoors on the decks. The owners were quick to respond with any of the issues we had. Overall, a great place to stay - and we enjoyed the unusual rooms, spectacular views, and tower of bathrooms!
The house was a very unusual construction, fun, quiet and comfortable. We had 14 adults and 4 children occupying the house. Most of the family rode the sky lift to the natural bridge and some went twice. Thanks for sharing your home with my family.
The house was great for a multi generational group (as long as stairs are not an issue). Close by there were hikes that all ages, and parents with infants in backpacks, could enjoy. The house was welcoming and beautifully lit at night. Beds were comfortable and plenty of gathering space.
About a dozen friends of mine get together every year to catch up. This year we landed at this house. Everyone was able to get their own bedroom, there were rooms broad enough to have everyone in them but also some spaces that allowed for some privacy. Cannot recommend enough.
My group was family and friends combined. We had an infant, and kids ranging from 2-9 and a couple teenagers, parents, aunts, and grandmas. It is a lot of stairs, but the grandmas made it! Great location close to so many activities. The driving and parking situation were a little sketch, but it was fine. The only complaints would be no outlet in some rooms that needed sleep ap machine making some of the rooming situation more difficult to figure out. Also the extra room downstairs perfect for the snoring family member was wayyy too hot in the day and freezing at night its more of a sunroom green house. Plan on staying again in the future!
We stayed here with 29 family members (19 kids under the age of 12) for a rustic family reunion. It accommodated our large group very well. It was nice having some separation of space between the first and second levels. Our kids absolutely loved swimming in the hottub and scavenging for nature treasures on the property. The large deck with beautiful lighting created such a pleasant atmosphere for our meals. The large living room spaces had ample seating for our gathering times. The home design itself is a bit eclectic, but it had all that we needed and we were thankful for the opportunity to stay there. Would recommend to other large groups!
For anyone on motorcycles this is a rough driveway to navigate.

Unique fun house, needs work in a lot of areas, good for laid back fun crowd not concerned about details. Lots of space, great location for doing anything in the Gorge.
I thought the property was quirky in the best way. Weird, but cool. We had everything we needed, except wine glasses. If you're drinking wine, might wanna bring glasses. I would rent here again. The house had so much character.
