Book your Hatteras Island adventure at SEA CREATURE, This soundside home is located beside a lovely lake on the soundside of the island. Beach access is a short walk from the home and ocean and sound views can be seen from the top level ships watch. The home is also conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. A private swimming pool welcomes you to relax in the sun, serving drinks from the outdoor bar. Just inside the home you’ll find a game room with foosball table. In addition, the lower level of the home offers a queen bedroom and bedroom with 2 singles that share use of a common full bath. The mid-level of the home features two master bedrooms (king, queen) each with a private full bath. The king master bath has a luxurious Jacuzzi tub, dual vanity and walk-in shower. Another queen bedroom and bedroom with 2 singles share a common full bath. A half bath greets you on the landing as you step up to the top level of the home to find the spacious great room with vaulted ceilings. Relax in front of the large flat screen TV while the chef in the family cooks up the evening's meal in the kitchen. A breakfast bar provides additional seating while the adjacent dining area seats the group. Up a few steps is a loft for a quiet respite with a good book, or step out onto the deck to gaze at the stars. Climb to the ships watch for views of both ocean and sound. Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Do not use VRBO and Do NOT stay at this property. The layout of the house is great but it has major flaws; rotten floors that have been covered with LVP and an inefficient HVAC system that was ignored and masked with poorly installed window units on the third floor. When it rained, water POURED in from the window units and seeped into an electrical outlet. It was a serious hazard and the property manager didn’t seem to care for hours. To top it off, the property manager, Surf or Sound, called to tell me I hadn’t paid the fees for our two dogs so they charged my debit card. This is after departing. I emailed them the paid bill that showed “additional charges” which I assumed were the dog charges. They said that had to be a VRBO charge because the pet fees weren’t included in my original payment even though I disclosed two pets when deciding to rent the house. I will never use VRBO or stay at a Surf or Sound property again. Additionally, the owner of this property is just an investor looking for rental income that is essentially negligible to him. We looked him up on GIS and spoke to him.

Fun stay

House was nice and very big, but pictures on listing were taken a long time ago. Noticeable wear and tear on this place. Pool and hot tub are great. Great location for riding bikes

Friends and Family Beach Vacation

Overall we were pleased. Some furniture and appliance were either broken or suboptimal. There were not enough kitchen utensils. The pool and hot tub were great. The plumbing in the house was prone to clogging even with just fluid or a small amount toilet paper. The garbage disposal was broken.

We drove a long way, great home, pier closed!

Tell the next renter’s you don’t have access to the water from the subdivision. The pier is closed at Avon!
