This is a TOP floor & Corner end unit with Vaulted ceilings. This condo has vaulted white washed with wood beam ceilings & gorgeous views of the ocean and tropical grounds as well as views to the beautiful West Maui Mountains! 

There is a bedroom, bathroom, and laundry on the main level, and the second bedroom is a loft upstairs. 50" Samsung 4 K Smart TV in the living room and 40" Samsung 4 K Smart TV in the bedroom through Wi-Fi for easy Netflix and login to cable if you wish. New 3 split AC ensures cool temperatures in all rooms.

Papakea Resort is a popular vacation destination, direct oceanfront, just north of Ka'anapali Beach. The property is located on over 12 acres, and features 2 pools, 2 jacuzzi spas, lighted pickle ball / tennis courts, shuffleboard, barbeque grills, two 12 whole putting greens, koi ponds, free fitness classes and lush tropical landscaping. Schedule of activities is up to Papakea management.

Fully stocked kitchen. Boogie boards, ice chests, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. available for your enjoyment.

Papakea Resort is a beautiful, oceanfront, property at the North end of Ka’anapali beach with an amazing location. While Mother Nature removed Papakea's beach several years ago, it still comes and goes. You are just a short walk to famous Ka'anapali Beach and the boardwalk which stretches all the way south to Black Rock, and beyond all the way to Whalers Village. That means you have all the access to one of the best beaches in the world. You are just steps from a terrific snorkeling reef, where you can enjoy swimming with the gorgeous Hawaiian fish and sea turtles.

You are walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, coffee houses, a fantastic fish market, local farmers market and shops. Famous championship golf courses just a 5 minute drive away in Kapalua!

Please note that Papakea Resort charges a facilities use fee of $25/day which includes wifi, resort amenities, and parking for 1 vehicle. It is collected by the front desk, and covers. The $49 Admin fee is for your damage insurance up to $1500 in accidental damage.

I loved the location. You can walk to the beach, amazing restaurants, grocery store and the ABC store is next door. My kids loved the pool and daily activities at the resort. I definitely will stay again. I updated the owner about some furniture that needed replacing and cleaning which she was very receptive and wanted to fix right away. Great view and easy location to everything.

Great time on Maui!

Amazing stay while on island! This property was close to all the great offerings of NW Maui. 10 mins from nightlife and shopping and 5-10 mins from all the best snorkeling you can handle! Property was exactly how it was described and the owners were great to work with! Thank you for a great vacation! Mahalo!

Overall good stay!

Beautiful property, great location and excellent view. Very nicely updated. The only problem we had was the fridge didn’t work and nothing stayed cold over the three days we were there, would recommend this be addressed by owner.

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I have stayed at Papakea a few times and absolutely love every experience.This condo was immaculate. Clean, well taken care of and well stocked. They had a pack n play, a booster seat, swim towels, extra sunscreen, pool/beach items. We had a slight hiccup with the A/C, but the hosts were incredibly responsive and kept us updated every step of the way. I would absolutely rent from them again!

Lovely place to spend a week with the family!

The water is even closer than the pictures show! A nice resort with nice amenities that did not feel crowded. Two pools and plenty of loungers on the grass. Shuffle board right by the pool. There are six BBQs by each pool so never a wait if needed. If you are all about the beach, there is one that you can access next door at the Kaanapali Shore via a little bridge.

The property was beautiful! Everything was recently renovated and the location is just perfect. It was a lovely surprise to see the amenities already stocked for us! There was snorkel gear, beach chairs, towels, etc plus a ton of stuff in the kitchen! It made our trip much more enjoyable. Amazing stay

What an absolute delight! The place was beautiful and was perfect for all 6 of us (grandparents, parents and children ages 9, 11). The resort was quiet and beautiful, and the unit comfortable and well-stocked. Communication was great throughout and the check-in/check-out process was seamless. There were plenty of extras like beach equipment and cooking supplies. The air conditioning was a plus and definitely needed after a long day at the beach. We would highly recommend this unit and hope to be back!

Great condo in convenient location

For those looking to stay in Kaanapali but looking for a budget friendly condo, this is the place. Conveniently located on Lower Rd, across the street from the Times grocery story and a couple buildings away from Honua Kai, Papakea H401 has everything you need. Comfortable beds, AC, an updated and well appointed kitchen. The loft area has three beds, so plenty of room for the kids. There are even beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and boogie boards for the beach. The owners are magnificent to work with. Jill and Terry are easy to reach if anything needs their attention. We highly recommend.

Great condo and nice owners

My wife and two daughters recently stayed in this unit for a week in January. Communication with Jill and Terry were excellent, the unit was clean and well stocked, and the view from the lanai was nice. We love the top floor units with the loft bedrooms, and we enjoyed how this unit had 3 beds up there. With the orientation of the building and this unit being a corner unit, it didn't seem to get very hot in the afternoon sun. We enjoyed many meals on the lanai, and would not hesitate to book again in the future. Thanks Terry and Jill for everything!

Broken fridge

Well, the bathroom sink was clogged, and the fridge had some dark brown leakage coming out from the ice box. The refrigerator kept nothing cold. The place got me super sick. The only times I could breathe were outside. Going back in, my nose would stuff up, and my throat got itchy. Not sure if the ac filters have been cleaned or replaced. The pool was nasty and not clear at all. I won't ever be staying there again, mainly because I couldn't breathe, and got sick.

Thanks for your review and for staying with us Jema. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We take our guests' satisfaction very seriously. We do have our 3-unit AC split system serviced regularly several times a year. Right after your email feedback, we had our units serviced again to ensure that they are at peak performance. We received your email upon your return where you told us that you tested positive for Covid. Your email saying: "everyone else enjoyed their time I was just the unlucky one that got sick. The place was beautiful don't get me wrong…" Perhaps having Covid could have affected your breathing. Our fridge is newer and also under warranty. Given your feedback, we have since had it serviced. Later staying clients and our cleaners have checked and can’t find an issue with the sink. Papakea takes amazing care of the grounds and pool, but we sent your comments to the management to ensure they are on top of it. We work extremely hard to keep our piece of paradise in top condition. It is extremely important to us! We do send an email to all our clients soon after arrival asking you to let us know asap if anything needs attention so that we can make it right. We wish you had communicated at this point so that we could have proactively assisted you. Again, we are very sorry you were unhappy.

Perfect Nov trip

This condo is just as described. The downstairs bedroom is quiet and the king bed is dreamy. My friend said the upstairs bed was great also. The full sized kitchen is fine for any meal prep. The refrigerator...well, it's nice and big and new but really doesn't keep anything cold. Prepare to freeze your items or have them spoil if not eating or preparing quickly. That was the only complaint. Terry quickly responded when the AC wouldn't work (operator error). The handyman that worked in the unit the day we arrived was respectful and clean. The parking was easy and the carts available for transportating belongings were so useful. This unit was great for my group of 3, but I can see if you max out the occupancy the one bathroom might not be enough, although it was large and had a privacy door for the shower/toilet area. There was a lot of items available for use in the condo that were useful and not expected. A lot of beach towels were provided and a hard sided cooler we used daily. We are back to our daily grind, dreaming of when we can return to Papakea. Thank you for helping facilitate our happy memories.

Wonderful!!

The resort itself is very well maintained. Our kids (12 and 7) enjoyed the amenities like shuffleboard, pickle ball and putting green. The condo had great sleeping arrangements with the kids in the loft upstairs and us in the quiet master in the back of the unit with comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed and more to make meals. Communication was excellent with the owners. We can’t wait to stay here again!

It is clear that the owners love their homes because everything is well maintained and clean. The unit was beautiful and provided plenty of space for our family of 5. The resort has some nice amenities that many VRBOs don't have such as weekly events and a concierge. We would definitely stay at the property again.

Great stay at this Papakea condo

The condo was clean and lovely, just as shown in the pictures. The location was great - we could walk to the grocery and restaurants and the food truck park. The view from the condo is amazing! We had a wonderful time on our family vacation with two teenagers.

Spacious and well equipped. So happy to have stayed in this slice of heaven. Papakea is an amazing resort and H401 is renovated to a high standard. The bed was so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Maui the Beautiful

The resort, just like Maui, is beautiful. Everywhere you turn it’s so full of color and well taken care of. The condo was spacious for 5 adults. Well taken care of and up to date. Great view overlooking the court yard toward the ocean.

Amazing Trip!

Jill & Terry were great throughout the whole process. Great communication! The condo is clean and comfortable! Loved the views and being able to walk down and sit and watch the sunset each night. Also really easy location! Coffee shop, restaurants, farmers market all a short walk. Would definitely come back to this spot at the Papakea!

We also own other properties at the Honua Kai but we love our place at Papakea. We have friends who also own here and just love it. Definitely has the feeling of Aloha.

So excited to be able to completely renovate this top to bottom in the beachy Hawaiian feel we love.

What makes this property unique

Being a complex that has been around for many years it sits right on the edge of the ocean. Now not allowed due to set backs with newer properties. We love sitting on loungers and hearing the waves. The stunning view of the ocean and the West Maui Mountains both day and night from inside this unit and the deck are just amazing. We have witnessed some of the most amazing sunsets and rainbows we have ever seen.
