Steps from the Beach in North Kihei

Wailana Kai is located in North Kihei just a short distance from Sugar Beach. This is the perfect location for somebody who wants to be near the water. Sugar Beach is in an ideal spot in the middle of Maui allowing for easy drive times to Wailea in the south or Ioa Valley in Wailuku. Rest, relax and enjoy the Beach and pool or head off to Hana or Haleakala National Park. View all of Maui with Wailana Kai as your starting point.

The 10 unit building sits at the end of a short cul-de-sac where it is private and quiet. Guests won’t hear the traffic on the main road and are less than 90 yards to the beach and ocean. This complex includes a pool which is newly renovated and tiled as of January 2024, BBQ grills, outdoor washing station for sandy feet & beach gear, & coin or pay app operated laundry.

Our cleaning crew is very thorough. All surfaces are cleaned with a bleach solution or other effective disinfectant between guests. All linens, wash clothes, towels and sheets are changed out between guests including the duvet and pillow shams. Check out time is 11 AM and check in is after 4 pm. This decreases the likelihood that germs will survive and allows our cleaning staff time to do excellent work without being rushed.

The bedroom has a king sized memory foam mattress, dresser, night stands, table lamps and large closet. There is a queen sized pull out sleeper sofa in the living room for additional guests. The unit offers an ocean view and the lanai has a bar height table for two. This condo is supplied with beach chairs and an umbrella for enjoying the sunny, warm days and some board games for relaxing in the evenings. We try to provide all the necessary amenities to fully enjoy your Maui vacation.

The bathroom has a toilet, vanity and plenty of room for any toiletries. The walk in shower has a rain shower head and hand held wand. You will find bath products like shampoo, conditioner and soap provided.

This unit is legally permitted as a short term rental in the county of Maui. Our tax licenses are on display in the unit.

I moved to Maui with my husband in 2014 and lived in this property before finding our own home in Kihei in 2022. We love the location and amenities and hope you enjoy it just as much now that it is a vacation rental.. Kihei is our favorite community on Maui. We live here year round and are happy to share some local tips and favorite spots. You may find us paddling kayaks & boards off the Kihei coast or just lounging on the beach. Everyday feels like a vacation living on Maui and I hope our guests feel the same way.

Why they chose this property

Wailana Kai is a hidden gem that is far enough from South Kihei road to hear very little traffic noise but close enough to reach Isana sushi restaurant and the beach without getting into your car. More dining and shopping is just a walk or short drive away. The beach is within 90 yards of the building and usually not too crowded. The complex has very nice amenities and only 10 units. Other units in the building are also short term vacation rentals so larger parties or groups needing more beds could rent out multiple units.
