Breathtaking Views!!! Elevation is 3250'. Our AIR CONDITIONED cottage has been completely upgraded with hardwood floors and beautiful furnishings. New kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless appliances.

There is a full-size stack washer/dryer in the cottage. Each bedroom has a private en-suite bathroom. Enjoy the deck where you can watch for deer, bears, turkeys, birds and other wildlife.

The cottage is located in beautiful Alpine Village, where you can enjoy convenient access to the Clubhouse, swimming pool, fire pit and shuffleboard court. The heated swimming pool is open usually between Memorial Day and Labor Day Weekends.......weather permitting.

You will enjoy the quiet solitude of our cottage which is surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest. Visit Burnsville and surrounding mountain towns. Mt. Mitchell State Park is 30 minutes away and only 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Burnsville has nice restaurants, Craft beer, great shops, music and friendly people.

The hiking trail head starts behind the Clubhouse and goes to the top of Mt. Mitchell a 3400' elevation change. There are many hiking trails in the area, some including waterfalls.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and Check-out time is 10:00 am.

Access information will be provided at least 3 days prior to the check-in date.

This vacation home is located on a steep mountain ridge and there are hazards relative to staying in a mountain property. Utility outages (power, cable, internet, phone or water) are out of our control. We make every effort for a quick resolve. There are no adjustments or refunds due to outages.

Mt. Mitchell 2 is a stand alone cottage with great appeal. There are hardwood floors throughout, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, central AC/Heat. There are two beautiful bedrooms, Main bedroom has a King bed with fabulous private views of the mountains and a remodeled bathroom with walk -in shower. The Guest room has a Queen bed with the same views and also a beautiful bathroom with walk- in shower. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV. Enjoy your coffee on the front porch or back deck watching the wildlife and birds.

The living room/dining area has a Gas log fireplace, Dish TV, Wifi and free long distance on the cottage telephone.

You have access to all amenities of our Alpine Village Community: A heated salt water swimming pool (usually Open between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends), weather permitting, shuffleboard court, corn hole, and the Clubhouse where you can play a game of pool, watch the big screen TV or borrow books, games and puzzles.
