Fabulous Condo

We loved the ample space in the condo and all the amenities that it offered. Steps from the pool and beach made it very easy to access and get to and from with all of our things. The location to restaurants and shopping was very convenient.

Great time at AMI

We returned to AMI after visiting two years ago. We chose to use VRBO and found this condo right on the beach. It's massive! Very nice and spacious with 3 bedrooms all towards back of condo and kitchen/living room up front and a nice balcony with great views of the beach. Parking right out front and quick and easy walk to the beach. This is right over the bridge from Bradenton so was an ideal location for us to travel up and down AMI/Holmes beach. Publix is just around the corner and restaurants are a short drive away. Will definitely keep on our list of staying here again next time we return.

Most favorite being able to see the beach and ocean from the kitchen sink!! This condo was beautifully appointed with its furnishing, dishes, etc all the way through everything you would want or need. Lovely deck to enjoy views of the ocean the sunsets. Very clean

Great location

We loved the location and convenience of this condo. It was big enough for myself and my husband, and two other adults. My husband had to work while we were there, and the workstation was perfect for that. The views were spectacular, and it was only steps to the beach. I loved the building, the secure parking, and the proximity to Walgreens and Publix (a seven-minute walk). They also provided some nice items for the beach (chairs and umbrella in the storage locker in garage, and beach towels in the unit). The kitchen does need some items, like pizza pan, cookie sheets, etc. Also, the beds are VERY uncomfortable. I bought a mattress pad and extra towels so I didn't have to wash towels every day. My response from VACASA was poor. We had several issues when we checked in, and they were slow to respond. I even walked to their local office, but the doors were locked and no one answered when I knocked. They sent a repairman to work on a couple of issues and he was great! The furniture in the condo is old, broken down and smells. The carpet in the bedrooms are FILTHY. Despite that, I think the cleaning crew does a great job! It was so clean when we arrived. The carpet is not their responsibility. I would absolutely recommend this place. I think it just needs some updating to furniture, carpet and mattresses.. The positives of this condo WAY exceed the negatives.

Spacious spot in great location

Palm gables is a lovely small condo building. Well kept with nice pool and amazing views. Unit 106 is extremely spacious and tastefully decorated. Clean and comfortable. The only negative, if any, is that it could use more dishes and pans. Would definitely recommend. Also the unit is managed by VACASA which is by far the easiest and most pleasant property management company that I have dealt with in my 15 plus years visiting AMI.

One of our most memorable stays :-)

We absolutely loved this beautiful condo. Cant think of any negatives and everything met or exceeded our expectations. Thanks to Allison for sharing this little gem with others through Vacasa. One issue on the first day was the ac was not working. LCD screen was completely blacked out. Vacasa maintenance could not solve it and given it was a weekend had to wait for a day to get ac specialists to come out and clear the drain. It was something with a drain overflow T-switch that kept malfunctioning even after the fix that I had to rotate the tube slightly up and that solved the issue. So first night was a bit restless as having no ac in Florida is a problem with indoor temp of 81 :-0. The rest of the days we had no problems with it and everything went very smooth. Downstairs storage had everything needed for the play in the sand and pool. Once again thank you so much.

Wonderful overall stay!

Overall a wonderful condo and location and the beach was fabulous! The condo is large and roomy, the complex secure, comfortable an in great shape, and tastefully decorated. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is that we got locked out due to the battery running low on the locknetic front door along with a leak in one of the bedrooms. We were able to get in the front door but left it open for a day until someone from maintenance showed up to fix it. Also, the unit does not have many items in it. No second set of sheets if an accident occurs, no cutting board, no sponge to wash dishes, no salt and pepper, etc. I’m assuming many things have been removed due to cleaning restrictions associated with the Corona Virus which is totally understandable. Just something to keep in mind when you stay at the condo and extra items you should bring when you visit. Overall a great stay!

Great stay! Definitely would stay again. I think the floors need a good cleaning between each stay. Also, we didn’t have the key for the storage room with all the beach gear which was a little disappointing. Overall, amazing condo and would stay again!

The condo was clean and in great shape. The view of the beach was wonderful. The only reason it did not get a five star is the beds were not that comfortable and the property was not within walking distance to restaurants so we did have to drive if we wanted to go out to eat. However, we plan to go again and we would definitely stay here again.

Delightful place

This unit was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen had the basic items we needed and the beds were quite comfy and the bedspreads seemed new. The outside area was kept up well, and the pool was great for windy days. The cable seemed to be a spanish-language package, which was fine, except we don't speak Spanish. We brought our Apple TV with us and that solved the problem. The location is great, near the grocery store and pharmacys, as well as other stores, yet it was quiet at night. The beach is terrific, near to the public beach area so you can walk to get a fancy cocktail, but not so close that it felt crowded. There is easy access to both bridges off of the island as well. We love Anna Maria Island and have vacationed here frequently for over 15 years. We are so happy the place has not gotten built up with huge hotels or monsterous mansions. We love that the island features locally-owned stores and restaurants, and we have found people to be friendly and helpful.
