Perfect getaway

It is a perfect location, very comfortable. It has exactly what you need. Communication was good, although I didn’t need much. It’s the perfect place for a beach getaway.

Amazing exoerience

What an amazingly spacious comfortable condo. Home from home with everything you need from a holiday home. So close to the beautiful white sandy beach, yet the pool is set within lovely gardens where a good book, a cold drink and a good swim makes this condo perfect!

The unit was well appointed in the kitchen - plenty of silverware, dishes, pots & pans. Dishes were chipped, silverware and pots and pans dirty. Had to wash everything. The furniture was old and falling apart. The beds and linens were horrible. The furniture on the patio, beach chairs and noodles were all dirty. The pool and beach were great and the proximity to everything was great. We would not rent this unit again. The pictures were deceiving!

First day I arrived I noticed the HVAC system wasn’t keeping pace, even with how hot it was outside. I’m familiar with the 10-15 * cooler than outside temp concept too but I could tell there was something wrong with the unit. Sir enough, I discovered (family of electricians and hvac personnel) that the outside fan motor was shutting off quickly after coming on to cool. Sunshine rental (mgmt company) pushed back at first saying it was just due to extreme heat until I provided evidence the unit needed to be serviced. The communication with sunshine after the hvac tech came out and said the whole unit needed to be replaced was very poor. Tried to contact them 3 separate times, last of which was to ask for a discount since I dealt with this for 3 days, and they never responded once. The last thing you want to deal with on a hot summer beach vacation is hvac. The master bed mattress was very bad. My back was messed up after sleeping on it for a week. Sad part is that the kitchen, and both bathrooms were remodeled so that was the good part. Master shower was clogged starting on day 1, maintenance promptly fixed that. I snagged a picture of the air filter on the hvac unit which was simply disgusting. I can’t begin to estimate when it was changed last. Unit felt dusty like it had been cleaned only in visible places. I won’t stay here again and will do my best to avoid sunshine rentals.

Excellent Condo!

Condo was perfect for a week at surf camp. Beautifully updated, huge balcony, property was very well maintained including the pool. Easy beach access to the part of st augustine that you do not drive on. We will come back!

Perfect rental - planning our next stay

This was by far the perfect rental for my family and we are already planning our next stay. There is a terrible review of this property written just before us and..... we had the complete opposite experience! That review was clearly written by someone who went out of their way to be petty and cruel. We have nothing but positive words to say and fell in love with this rental. DISCLAIMER: this is an older property built in 1983 that has been renovated many times over the years. You can tell it was updated for the year 2020 and what you see in the pictures is what you get! We experienced absolutely ZERO problems and are already talking about re-booking this home again in the coming months. SUMMARY: If you are expecting something 100% brand new then you will not fall in love with this location. However if you expect to rent a location that has been modernized, photo accurate and clean..... you will have a great experience. We 100% recommend this location and will happily rent here again.
