After a long, meticulous and respectful renovation, it combines the charm and beauty of traditional quality materials with the comfort of contemporary high-tech equipment. On three levels, it comfortably accommodates four people in two bedrooms with shower rooms. Its tropezian terrace which opens onto the roofs of the village and the chestnut groves of Garde-Freinet allows you to admire the rosy reflections of the sunset on the millenary silhouette of the castle.
The interior has been completely renovated this year with great care, with quality materials and all contemporary comfort. So you can enjoy the traditional beauty of terracotta and wood, while enjoying the benefits of wi-fi, washing machines, thermostatic mixers, ...
The house has three levels. The first level consists of a large bedroom lit by two beautiful windows overlooking rue des Templiers and incorporating a bathroom with a large shower. You will have a wardrobe and a chest of drawers for storage, as well as a double bed, whose mattress (140x190), and the bedding treated with dust mites are new. The toilets are separate. On the second level is the living room, with a kitchen open to a sitting area and a dining area. Light enters through two large windows overlooking the rue des Templiers and a small window overlooking the flowered arbors of the Place du Cros. The kitchen is equipped with a large electric oven, a large gas hob, a double stainless steel sink, and black stone worktops. There is also a washing machine and a dishwasher. On the third level is a small attic bedroom with two single beds (90x190). The mattresses and bedding are also new. A small bathroom with WC opens on the roof. The tropezian terrace offers a view of the clock and the castle, the Moors and the plain. You will take the air, a sunbath, the freshness of the morning, the evening meal or take advantage of the sunset over the Moors in an enchantment of colors.
At the corner of rue de l'Horloge and rue des Templiers, in the heart of Grimaud, this authentic house offers a real opportunity to live a village life, close to shops and bustling streets, or the concerts at the castle, the Thursday market, the cafe on the terrace, the view of the hills or the plain.

A truly wonderful and excellent stay in a great village house. Everything in the house was there to make a seamless stay, allowing us to enjoy Grimaud and its surrounding area. We recommend Yves and his home to anyone who wants a quintessential French holiday.

As advertised
A lovely property in the centre of Grimaud. Everything you would require was there. A nice if a bit small roof terrace for outdoor dining and private.
The property is charming but needs some updating. The TV did not work which didn’t really bother us too much. The gas hob needs adjusting as one of the rings has a very high flame. The problem for us was the heat as the fans provided just recycle hot air.

Dear Claire, I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at our house as much as you could have. I would have fixed the gas and TV problems during your stay if I had been aware of them. Please let me know about other updating you have in mind, as I am particularly concerned in keeping the house in perfect condition. For ecological reasons, there is no air-conditioning in any of my houses... even if windows on each side of the house allows natural circulation of air, it could be hot during some weeks of the summer, I will better insist on that in the description of my house.
The house and village are great. House is confortable, well situated in the village, and equiped.
Communication with VRBO was difficult if not impossible. I tried several times to ask a question through their website but never received a reply.
We checked in on mai 18th and on May 21st the owner Yves received an information saying that the second payment was not received. This was complete nonsense, and I decided to pay Yves cash. Now I am trying to get back my money from my credit card account. The owner Yves Papegay however is very cooperative.

Jederzeit wieder....

One of a kind location in the beautiful village of Grimaud.
This was our second stay at this property and we absolutely love the home. I can't begin to say enough about the owner, Mr. Papegay, who has been incredibly helpful in making both of our stays at this home an excellent experience. Grimaud's proximity to the best locations in the south of France cannot be beaten. Easy drives to Monoco, St. Tropez, Cannes, Gassin and Sainte Maxime. The village of Grimaud, despite it's small size, is very charming, clean and offers several restaurants that are 4 to 5 star caliber, including our favorite restaurant Fleur de sel, which is literally a 10 second walk from the house. Again completely charming and truly French. We will be back as often as possible.

Thank you Dominik for your message, we will take into accounts your remarks to make the house even more enjoyable : replacement of the old external window shutters is already scheduled for this winter, even if completely functional internal blinds already exists.

Odile

LOVED EVERY MINUTE
Lovely little house just right for two couples or a small family. We loved it here and wouldn't hesitate to re-book. The lovely little roof terrace off the upstairs bedroom was just right for sitting out enjoying bread, cheese and local wine at lunchtime or in the early evening or for viewing the floodlit castle (and bell tower) after dark whilst the property itself was surrounded by lovely places to eat and drink. We have been home for two days and missing it like crazy, can't wait to make time to go back.
