We really enjoyed hiking on the AT that is accessible from the property. We also enjoyed the porches and the grounds. We picked some fresh figs for our appetizer. The house is conveniently located to many excellent trails. The home is beautifully decorated and we loved all the antiques, especially the glassware and dishes. We highly recommend!

The entire stay was amazing .The hosts are wonderful and thought of everything! The accommodations were clean and beautiful. The grounds were gorgeous with flowers and we sat on the front and back porches listening to the birds. What a relaxing and peaceful stay . We will be coming back again to stay!

We had a very nice stay at the Virginia country cottage. It was so beautiful and Mark and Sybille were very kind and hospitable. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden and surrounding area was very peaceful and beautiful.

This is the second time my family stayed at the Virginia Country Cottage in Troutville. The space was perfect for our family of five. We enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces including the front and back porches, grill and the hilltop seating area where we enjoyed a few sunsets. We had a very relaxing weekend and enjoyed reconnecting with one another.

Very good stay

The location was beautiful and we enjoyed the access to the Appalachian trail. We were also only 20 minutes away from Tinker Cliffs. House was very clean, smelled nice, and owners were responsive. Would definitely stay again.
