Dining area is open to living room and family room for an open concept that is great for large families or entertaining and features a large custom built farm style table. Kitchen features granite countertops, new stainless appliances including a dishwasher, center island with bar seating and all your kitchen necessities. Master bedroom has walk-in closet, a queen bed with new mattresses, a 50 inch television and ensuite featuring porcelain tile, an oversized tub, and separate shower. Bedroom 2 features a queen size bed and large closet. Bedroom 3 features full size bed and large closet and is adjacent to the second bathroom. The second bathroom features porcelain tile, large bathtub/shower combo, and a large double sink vanity. Living area features a large television open to the kitchen when large barn doors are open- or you have the option to close the large barn door for extra privacy. Living area opens to spacious front deck overlooking pond and wildlife. Family room is open to the dining kitchen area and also features a queen sofa sleeper, sofa, and large television with electric fireplace. Washer and Dryer are located in the laundry room which also features a rear exit and porch. Deck has patio set seating 6, a conversation set that seats an additional four persons and overlooks the (swimmable and fishable) pond with fountain and creek. Check out our photos of salmon running the creek last fall! Property also features custom made fire ring surrounded by three large custom porch swings for your enjoyment. Property also features walking trails that loop around and take you back to the property. This property allows relaxation and seclusion in a very tranquil environment. Hopefully we've thought of everything! Basic Soaps, detergents, toiletries, paper towel, shampoos, coffee, creamer, and sugars provided. This property works wonderfully in all seasons! **We allow and welcome children as we have our own and love to bring them on vacation as well. Recently we have had guests who don't share the appreciation or respect of our cottage as well as others. We politely ask that children (and sloppy adults) do not eat or drink on the furniture or in beds. Please help us keep these items free of stains so that all guests may enjoy them! From this point forward- guests will be charged for damages should we find staining on our furniture or bedding upon departure. If you feel this request is too strict, please do not reserve our cottage.

FAQ's

Can we bring our pet?
Unfortunately, we have many guests with pet allergies and pet hair/dander is a constant issue. We are not accepting pets at this time.

What do we need to bring?
We supply toilet paper, hand soap, paper towel, dish soap, sponges, linens/blankets/pillows for beds (beds are made for guests) as well as towels, washcloths, kitchen towels, mini shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, etc. We suggest bringing anything you feel you may need in addition and reviewing our amenities and supply list in its entirety prior to traveling to your rental.

What activities are available in your area?
The activities in our area are nearly entirely outdoor recreation activities. Blessed to be located in the Manistee National Forest we are lucky to be very close to some amazing hiking/fat biking trails such as the Big M and the North Country Trail. We are surrounded by lakes and rivers as well. Kayak or canoe on the Big Manistee, the Little Manistee or the Pine River. Watch the salmon run in the fall in small creeks or fish one of our many small lakes. We are also located only about a half hour from Lake Michigan and its beautiful beaches. Shopping is available in Manistee, Ludington, and Traverse City. Our area also has many ATV and Snowmobile trails and trail maps are available online and in the welcome book at our cabins. This cabin is located approx 20-35 minutes from Crystal Mountain and Caberfae Peaks for skiing and snowboarding. We are located 25 minutes from the Little River Casino and our area hosts the Hoxeyville Music Festival Annually as well!

What is your cancellation policy: You will receive a full refund if your stay is cancelled at least 60 days prior to arrival. We will make every attempt to re-book your dates and you will receive a refund if we are able do so.
