About this property
Puako Beach Apartments , 3 bdr/2bath condo. Beach access across street.
Fabulous ground unit in a special building with a spectacular location on the Big Island's, Kohala coast. Right across the street from the ocean , just steps away for picture perfect sunsets, whale watching and snorkelling. Close to resort hotels, multiple golf courses and amenities to treat selves at. This unit is well stocked and supplied. We value a well appointed kitchen, so cooking isn't more of a chore than it needs to be. The community is welcoming , respectful and kind. A very special place on this Earth.

About the host
Hosted by Tara Assaly

We are a family of 5, from Edmonton, Canada. We love nature and being active.
Why they chose this property
Our first visit to Hawaii was 2001(family of 4). We spent a week on Hawaii (Kona)and a week on Maui.
My auntie who actually stayed in the condos in the 70's took us for a tour of the area after spending a day at Hapuuna . We fell in love. We visited the following year(now a family of 5) staying up in Kohala Ranch country. We visited Puako a second time , fantasizing about owning a property someday in area. Loving the quiet and authentic Hawaiian feel of the area, the location, the building.
2003 we purchased 106. It was perfect for our young family . Not having to worry about stairs or balconies with young toddlers.

What makes this property unique
This property is : quiet, close to world class beaches, golf and resorts. Peace and joy is what we feel when we are here.
We love the quick access to the ocean to take in amazing photo worthy sunsets, whale watching, snorkelling. We actually heard whales slapping their tails our last visit in Jan 2023.
Great strolling/running/biking along Puako Beach Drive in the early morning, smelling the flowers that are in bloom. Often extending our walks to the Fairmont Orchid or Mauna Lani for a morning coffee and muffin.
The local full time residents are amazing and pure love.
While weather patterns are constantly changing it has often been considered the "dry" side of the island.
