This listing is for condo #2. Condos 1 and 4 are on the ground floor which share a shaded cement patio, condos 2 and 3 are on the second floor which share a deck, all four overlooking the Yellowstone River. Each condo is equipped with outdoor furniture and a BBQ grill.

Welcome to your basecamp for your southwest Montana/ Yellowstone vacation! We have a very friendly manager and staff should you need anything during your stay.
Located on the banks of the Yellowstone River, 11 miles north of Gardiner, Montana, Yellowstone Riverfront Condos offer a unique vacation opportunity!

There are four 2-bedroom, 1 bath units in this two-story structure; each unit has a laundry room, WIFI, two private entrances, gas grill, and expansive outdoor areas with a riverfront view that perfectly captures the sunsets in Yankee Jim Canyon. These units can be rented individually or are perfect for large groups needing an entire floor or the whole building. There is also a private trail to the river for fishing access on the Yellowstone River. Each unit sleeps 4; the beds can be configured as kings or XL twins.

The property is located at historic Slip & Slide Ranch established in 1908 and still operated by the Rigler family. From the unit, you can see the historic rock barn featured in the Montana publication, Hand Raised: The Barns of Montana. In addition, wild Yellowstone bison, which are part of a national bison testing program, graze in the meadow by the main ranch buildings and are easily and safely viewed from the condo site.

The ranch borders thousands of acres of public land with hiking opportunities that can accommodate any skill set. The historic OTO Dude Ranch is a popular trail; hiking the now publicly owned part of the old Slip & Slide Ranch provides two glimpses into Montana ranching and accommodation history. Both hikes provide ample wildlife viewing as well as an opportunity to explore areas outside of Yellowstone Park which are often less traveled than popular Yellowstone Park trails.

The central location allows you to enjoy Yellowstone Hot Springs, 3 miles away, and Chico Hot Springs, 20 miles away. We are also just a short drive to Livingston, Montana where there is a wealth of fine dining, shopping, and art galleries.

The property was very clean and well stocked. View was great and we really liked the Bison Herd on the ranch across the road. The condo is right on the Yellowstone River but it is high above the river and the bank is very steep making it pretty much impossible to walk down to the river without trespassing on the neighbor's property. I saw no mention of this on the listing, but it should have been mentioned. Also being forced to pay for a damage insurance policy did not sit well with me. We are adults who act responsibly, We never trash someone else's property. Pay for your own insurance and raise the rate if you must.

Thanks for staying with us, Jim! After the 2022 Yellowstone River floods, we rebuilt a new easy-to-navigate path to the river. If you would have messaged us while you were staying, we would have been able to help you. As responsible business owners, we always require a property damage protection plan. There is a fully refundable $1,500 damage deposit or a non refundable $59 plan that covers guests up to $1,500 in accidental damages. Any guest who opts for the fully refundable $1,500 damage plan doesn't spend one penny on any damage insurance policy.

We had a great stay! The place was really nice, clean, and secluded — just what our family was looking for. It felt like the perfect getaway, it was about an hour and half away from Old Faithful just to give an idea how far it is from the parks. Half hour from Mammoth. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect location to Yellowstone & wonderful accommodations. We loved coming back to our home base after every park outing. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prep meals and the view of the Yellowstone River below was glorious! The property back side faces a river. That is the only positive. We had 2 small boys and the host was very rude about the sounds they were making while playing. This is a 4 unit building and if you have kids you simply should not stay in this place. The bathroom on the property was missing the tub drain stopper, so we could not even use the bath tub for our kids. The host even told us that we should not stay there due to guests in the unit below us complaining about normal kids play sounds. The host will make it seem as if the sounds were high volume, but they were just normal kid sounds.

The worst guests we've ever had- we are glad they will never return. Day 1- guests in the unit below call us at 11:30pm stating there is considerable noise and can't sleep. Day 2- we ask guests first thing in the morning to please respect 10pm-6am quiet hours. Our text is met with a gaslighting response- the lights in the bathroom aren't working, nor is the fan. We head over immediately, and all lights are working, and they pushed too many buttons on the fan so we reprogrammed the fan and it worked again. Day 2 evening, they text they can not find the bath stopper. The bath stopper is in the top right vanity drawer. We ask that they look there. They do not and can't find it- we take a pic of where it is in the vanity and send it to them once they've checked out and apologize that they couldn't find it. Again, night 2, the unit below cannot sleep because of so much noise. We text Vikram and no response- it seems they refuse to be considerate guests. We need to relocate guests below them and refund them for having their vacation ruined. Final day- they left the front door to all the condos wide open, allowing any wild animal to come in. We have a large sign saying PLEASE KEEP THIS DOOR CLOSED. Vikram didn't follow the checkout procedures and left the apartment in poor condition. On top of all of this, we gave them the rating we experienced and they texted to our personal phones that we were racist. It was the worst rental experience we've ever had.

Wonderful view

My family enjoyed our stay at the property. The view was magnificent and the accommodations were above expectations. Great proximity to Gardiner and the North gate of Yellowstone. The property manager was helpful with great advice on places to see outside of the park.

Perfect for our family vacation!

Gateway to Yellowstone

Very nice property only a short drive to Yellowstone. Clean, well equipped, beds very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need to fix a quick meal or a full dinner. You can't go wrong staying here. We will be back next year.

Great experience and a beautiful view of the Yellowstone River

Our experience here was terrific! The property is well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed.
