The property was clean and in very close proximity to the beach. It had everything you needed to enjoy your time on the water and sand. The outdoor shower was especially helpful and the entire house was very well appointed.

Kitchen was well equipped, a nice view. Quiet neighborhood. Only problem was the cesspool. It did smell most days and there was very low pressure in the outdoor shower, which we used most of the time

My purpose for choosing this rental was leave the craziness of everyday life behind and spend a relaxing week with the family, and i cannot convey how perfect this rental is for that. This rental was very well maintaned and probably one of the cleanest places i have rented. The community of broad kill beach was so beautiful and peaceful it feelt like a different world from the surrounding areas. The storage area was fully, probably over stocked, with items for the beach, making our stay even that much more pleasant. Being able to take such a short walk over the dunes and camp out on the beach all day was just perfect. I would definitely consider coming back at another time.

Excellent location!

The house is super clean and the views and relaxation from the deck alone make it a great stay. The owners are very accommodating and quick to assist if needed. We'll definitely be back for another stay soon.

An amazing place, lots of essentials already there for us. The only disadvantage was the house being built nearby, but overall it was great! Highly recommend for being near the beach!

Lovely home Broadkill Beach

It was easy to check in and we had plenty of space. It’s a lovely home and has a lot of amenities in the kitchen. The screened in porch was enjoyable to sit on. A quiet neighborhood and a local store just a block walk away

Quiet getaway

Clean, comfortable, well stocked house. Short walk to the beach. We walked 5 miles on a beautiful morning and saw about a dozen people. This is a perfect location for people looking for a quiet getaway.

Wonderful!

The house was really perfect for us. It was a perfect layout for two families with young kids who are old enough to share a room. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, and fabulous screened in porch where we eat dinner every night and sipped coffee every morning. Would love to come back!

This house was recommended to us by a family friend who has stayed here before. She did not disappoint us with her recommendation. The house was clean, comfortable, had anything you could really need and was so close to the beach! We very much enjoyed our stay. We loved the Broadkill Store that was within walking distance of the house as well. Everything the host recommended was perfect as well! Thank you for opening your home up to us. Awesome Porch, Clean, Comfortable Beach House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Broadkill Beach. We spent lots of time on the large, screened-in porch looking at the ocean and relaxing. The house was clean, updated, and comfortable. The beach access was easy to navigate with two small children, and we loved that the bay waves were gentle for our kids to play in. The house’s proximity to the Broadkill Store was also very convenient for picking up snacks. In addition, we were only a 15 minute drive to Lewes. We had a great experience!

Best Beach House To Date

We have rented beach houses the same week every year for 9 years now- from Jersey to NC and this was hands down our favorite house to date. So much so that we plan to rebook again next year which we’ve never done before. No house has ever been so perfect for us. Pros: It is cleaned, well-stocked, and the host Brad is very accessible. Linens and towels are included. It’s 150 steps to the beach. It was CLEAN. The kitchen had every single thing you could possibly need including small appliances and a lobster pot with tools for crabs! Incredibly convenient to the Broadkill store which has everything you might need that you forgot you needed. Donuts every am and a walk up ice cream window too! Plenty of games and books and puzzles to occupy everyone’s time!! Also more DVDs than we could count even though there’s Smart TVs and Netflix and Hulu. The storage area downstairs has everything you would need for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, toys) including a wagon to bring everything to and from. Beach is not crowded at all so can set up in the am and go back and forth for bathroom breaks, nap time, lunch, snacks, you name it. You can have a fire on the beach!! Huge bonus points for that. Super quiet neighborhood. Brilliant thing we noticed- the bottom of the deck has a screen under the floorboards so on top of being screened in on all sides it was also screened in on the floor so NO BUGS while being on the porch! Things to note: If you have a baby or toddler, there’s no crib so bring a pack n play. Also, if your kid(s) perfect a bathtub, there’s only showers. We were saved by the outdoor shower because what kid doesn’t like an outdoor shower?! Bring your own pillow. Bring ample bug spray, especially while on the beach. If you want spacious and roomy, this might not be an option. We travel with the same family every year and are lucky all the kids get along but there’s 3 bedrooms, a large kitchen-dining area-family room plus the screened in porch. Perfect for us but if you bring 4 teenagers you might want some more space to spread them out. Milton is the horseshoe crab capital so you’ll see a LOT of crabs on the beach, both alive and dead. Lol.

Recently stayed 9/6-9/13 and could not have asked for a more beautiful week. Despite a rainy day or two, it was a quiet and relaxing stay. Most days we could hear the waves from the porch. We even got to see dolphins close to shore! Can’t wait to come back again next year.

We enjoyed our stay very much! We were thoroughly impressed with the level of "home comfort" the beach house provided. From many large, soft beach towels to all the beach equipment provided, everything was accounted for. The rooms even have laundry hampers! Air conditioning and water pressure was strong. The kitchen and main space were great. There were board games and books for our kids (ages 5 and 8). The screened in porch allowed for relaxing early mornings and meals outside. The walk to the beach was quick and easy - though we understood the need for the motorized cart very quickly given the steep walk down! We loved the donuts and sandwiches from the Broadkill store, and had ice cream a few nights too. The street is quiet, and the beach was never crowded! Our ONLY downside - which is in no way the fault of the host or house - was the jellyfish. I want to add this for future visitors just as a point of safety/awareness. The bay gets warm and has had increasing numbers of jellyfish. My husband and daughter were both stung, and we couldn't get in the water 4 of our 6 days there. Because Broadkill Beach is unincorporated, there are no lifeguard nor any posted signage about the risks. The beach breeze and temps during our stay meant we could still enjoy the beach and build sandcastles, collect shells, etc. We also went to Rehoboth and Cape May for a day and could enjoy the water and activities there. Just be prepared to be flexible if the jellies are around!

Great location

The whole family loved the house, the proximity to the beach and the overall condition of the property. The only gripe we had was that the door lock was very tricky to get open. But as a side note we thought the electric beach cart was kind of gimmicky when we first looked at the property, but it ended up being one of the coolest features we have ever had while doing daily treks to the beach. We would definitely book hear again.
