Great View & Location

This is a great house for a weekend getaway. The views of the river are fantastic and you’re a short Uber to downtown. We will definitely be back.

Great place

Place was clean and well appointed. Rebecca was super easy to communicate with. Excellent location for exploring trails off the blue ride parkway and conveniently located between Asheville and Black Mountain. Would stay again!

Great Asheville cottage

We were more than satisfied with our rental experience. The property is located close enough to Asheville to enjoy all the city has to offer and yet far enough away to have peace and quiet. Located just a a couple of miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway, there is easy access to many great tourist attractions in WNC.

Sweet cabin near the river

We enjoyed the beautiful fireplace and open floor plan of this cabin on the hill. It's at the end of the road, so limited cars made for a quiet stay. Just lovely.

Great House in Woodsy Neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay in Asheville at this great property. It was close enough to be convenient to most attractions and far enough away to be be out of the hubbub. There is about a 5-7 minute drive to the neighborhood once you leave the main road and then about 10 minutes to downtown Asheville. There are a number of restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The neighbors were all very friendly and waved every time we went by. The house was well appointed and comfortable. Unfortunately our weather was not good enough to enjoy the lovely deck outside. I will echo that the driveway is difficult to navigate with a large vehicle like a Ford Expedition, but that would be my only warning. Otherwise a great place to stay while you are in Asheville.

Picture perfect cabin minutes from downtown Asheville

This property was perfect for our family of 4. The cabin is exactly as pictured, with all the comforts of home and a pretty view of the river across the street. Rebecca, the property manager, was always available to answer any questions we had and the welcome binder was full of recommendations on things to do and places to eat. There are supermarkets, restaurants, gas stations and entertainment options less than a mile from the house and downtown Asheville is about a 15 minute drive. Overall, this was a great home base for our vacation in Western North Carolina.

Clean, quiet and centrally located

Clean and well equipped home at the end of a cul de sac in a quiet neighborhood. Very peaceful. Had everything we needed. Very short drive to get on Blue Ridge Parkway and short drives from there to many great hiking destinations. About 15 minutes or so from downtown. We took an Uber downtown 2 nights, was about $15 one way and downtown Asheville has a lot to offer. Many great restaurants, shops, and microbreweries. More on the house - it has a very steep drive. We had small car and it was difficult to even see where we were going. The landing area up top is small and it took some maneuvering to turn around as we didn't want to back down. Would recommend parking on street. Rebecca was an excellent host. We had some problems figuring out some lights/fans and she came right over to show us. She was very polite and responsive. Only minor complaint we had (other than the steep driveway) was that the bedroom ceiling fan/light combos are controlled with old remotes and they are very temperamental. Took me some time to get the main bedroom fan/light to work (even with Rebecca's help) and the remote for the other bedroom was broken by a previous tenant. Rebecca offered to bring up a fan from storage for that bedroom but the house was plenty cool even during the heat wave when we went. For me, the lighting in the bedrooms was a little dim (even when I could figure out how to turn on the main light). I just like a well lit room. If they could replace those lights/fans in the bedrooms with something brighter and more reliable it would be just about perfect. Still, I would highly recommend this property based on cleanliness, amenities, proximity to attractions, peaceful location and responsiveness of management. Would definitely rent again.

Peaceful location

If you’re looking for a peaceful location to retreat to while you explore the Asheville area, this is the place. It was an easy drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Biltmore and downtown Asheville or you can enjoy the sound of the river while you relax on the deck. Rebecca was helpful when we had questions and the house was clean and had a well stocked kitchen for cooking. It has a steep driveway, but we had no problem maneuvering it with our SUV. We would recommend this lovely home.

Loved the ROCK HOUSE

The "Rock House" was so cute, and perfect for my husband, toddler, pup and I. We drove to hiking and downtown (closer to a 15-20 min drive to heart of things), but perfect if you want a little piece of nature and privacy to come back to after a long day in town. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the deck was perfect for grilling out and listening to the wildlife. When we arrived the house was VERY clean. In a culdasac, so very safe for kids and dogs. Thanks for the hospitality Rebecca!
