Bring your beach towels and start making your summer memories now!! Come stay at Canary Cottage and have access to the best South Haven, MI has to offer with this 3 bedroom home. It includes has some updated furnishing, 3 bikes for tenant use, and a large yard to play all the best summer games.

We're a quick walk to Kids' Korner park, South Beach access points, and downtown South Haven.
The house is located 2.5 blocks from Kid's Korner Playground, 3.5 blocks from the beach (public access), 6-7 blocks from the marina, and 8 blocks from down town night-life/restaurants. You can walk everywhere in South Haven if you stay at this house!

Bedrooms have a queen (main floor), sofa sleeper (main floor), and 1 double and 3 twin beds (upstairs) in two bedrooms. A big living room, sweet lovely porch to soak in the summer breeze, and an outdoor fire pit to enjoy on brisk summer nights.

Wifi and cable ready, parking is not a problem on this public street home.

$150 Cleaning Fees charged on top of rental stay.
50% is due at booking
$500 refundable security deposit check due upon check in and returned upon check out

Canary Cottage

We enjoyed our stay, the place is very clean and it is in a good location. It doesn’t have anything for kids, but of course mine made games with the simplest items in the end. Favorite part was the front porch.

Needed to escape the day to day craziness and this place was perfect. The place was extremely clean and in a great location to town/beach. The owners were extremely helpful and kind. They responded quickly to questions.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful stay! The proximity to kid’s korner was so nice for our little ones, and we were able to easily ride our bikes to south beach. The house was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed playing in the backyard at the end of the day and having s’mores over a fire. It was our first time visiting south haven, and it certainly will not be our last.

Cute cottage, great location

Just returned from a long holiday weekend trip to South Haven. The cottage is cute, well stocked, and clean. Beds we’re comfortable and loved the extra pillows. We loved the location - just a short walk to the beach and downtown. We had 5 adults and the 1 bathroom was a little tough at times, but we knew that going in and it worked out just fine. We utilized the gas grill and fire pit- which made our stay even more fun. My only advice is to watch out for the clear, plexiglass coffee table in the living room. It blends in so well, we had to move it out of the way so we could avoid kicking it lol. Overall, we had an absolute blast and would highly recommend staying at the cottage. South Haven is also a great town to stay in to avoid the big crowds this time of year. P.S. this host is amazing at timely communication and instructions. 5 star host!

Loved this place! Great home-away-from-home!

Cute, extremely clean, great location! We were within walking distance to South Beach and within a mile to downtown. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, with a beautiful deck and a big backyard. We made great use of the bbq grill and fire pit. My only complaint is that there is only one bathroom…but we made it work with all of us. We HIGHLY recommend the house and the very kind owner!!! We’ll be back!!

Cute South Haven home walking distance to lake

This house was perfect for my family! There is a bedroom on main floor in which the grandparents used. My daughters used the bikes for the nearby path and to ride along the lake. We also enjoyed a bonfire on our last night! It was clean and fully stocked!

Had a great time!

This was a cozy cottage in a perfect location for walking/driving to the beach, walking to the playground (Kidz Korner), running to the shops or restaurants and also relaxing at the cottage. Our family really enjoyed our time here, even when the weather wasn't that great. You might need to bring a few activities (books or games) for kids to do, or make a back-up plan for indoor outings in case of rainy days. We'd definitely come back! Thanks for letting us stay =)

Exactly like the photos

The property is cute and comfortable. It has what you need and the location makes it easy to get to south beach. Walking into town is about 15-20 min witch is what I did. Finally a place with a full length mirror, it’s the little things. There’s a Washer, dryer, fire pit, deck, parking and a large back yard to sun in if going to the beach is just too much.

I am a South Haven native and my husband is from SW Michigan, but we are currently residing in SE Michigan. My family has been in South Haven since I was very little, our family is well known throughout town, my mom has owned the nail salon (Natural Nails) near the hospital for over 15+ years! My husband and I graduated from Michigan State and both work in the automotive industry. We love traveling but nothing beats a weekend at our alternative 'home' on Lake Michigan.

Why they chose this property

The proximity to the downtown, park and beach are all selling points for us, we love this neighborhood. Like I said above, I'm a SH native and I just loved this area growing up, it was so pleasant and I somehow want to share this sweet home with visitors to our beach town!

What makes this property unique

It has a large yard!! Feel free to use the vacant land next to it (we own that too). We are on a public street and have private spots on the property - plenty of space if you want to bring water toys (ie. boats, jetskis, etc).
