About this property

MILLION DOLLAR DOUBLE WIDE!!!

Ok, (not really).... when we were looking to buy, this place was listed for $110,000,000 (which was a typo) and the place was a DUMP!!! While under construction, we referred to it as the "million dollar double wide" and the name stuck, just didn't seem right to call it anything else. The house has been COMPLETELY remodeled from top to bottom. New Bathrooms, New bedrooms, New Kitchen, New exterior....... List goes on and on. We really feel like we have spent a million bucks on it. Located in the heart of the village, Its a short walk or bike ride to all the restaurants and shops. Bike rental is across the street, coffee shop is 3 blocks away. Golf cart rentals are available in several locations on the island. There is a huge covered porch with a walkway to it. Out back we have an outdoor shower with a walkway to the porch.

The house has a master bedroom, with a queen size bed, and master bathroom with a shower.
Bedroom number 2, has a FULL(double) size bunk bed set. Sleeps 4 comfortably.
Bedroom number 3, has a queen size bed. Second bathroom has a full size bathtub.
Smart TV's are in all bedrooms.
This is the perfect setup for 2 families and 4 kids, or 4 couples.

Fully functional Kitchen, with a large open concept great room, perfect for the entire family to be together. Basic kitchen condiments available (please replace if you empty), or bring your own. A Keurig coffee maker is available, but you must bring your own coffee.
Also included is a washing machine and dryer.(supplies not included).

Bath towels and bed sheets will not be provided. Bedspreads are on all beds.

You must bring your OWN personal hygiene supplies.(soap, shampoo etc....)
NO beach accessories will be provided.

All dirty dishes must be left in the dishwasher, and the dishwasher MUST BE STARTED before you leave.
Do NOT leave coffee pods in the Keurig.

Super clean, very well-equipped kitchen, quiet and comfortable. Great outdoor shower and clothesline. And it’s all on 1 floor! (Also - wow did the owners do a terrific job on the reconstruction of this house — it was so interesting to see the before, during, and after photos! My only suggestion - screening in the front porch would make this house literally perfect:)

The place could use some sprucing up - especially outside. It was clean except for moldy shower curtains. NO screened in porch (as listed was to be done this past May).Some easy improvements and upkeep could make this reasonably priced rental much better. I have communicated concerns to owner.

We live in eastern NC. My husband farms, I am a beautician. We have traveled to a lot of different beaches and once we started visiting Ocracoke, we fell in love with the island. We have a teenage son that loves the freedom he gets there. He can go off with friends he has made there and we feel that he is safe. My husband is also a pilot and it is nice to fly in for the day and enjoy the beach.

Why they chose this property

We also dabble in rental property as a side business, We are always looking for a good deal in an area we like, and we this came on the market (the day before we were meeting the realtor) we added it to the list to look at. I saw a dump, The kids saw a "crack house" and my husband saw a brand new remodel house.

What makes this property unique

Everything is brand new inside and outside, except for the appliances and a few furnishings.
