About the host
Hosted by Alix Baxter
We (A and J) love to travel and when not visiting glaciers in far off places, we spend a lot of time enjoying our town home here in Crescent Beach. We would like to share the experience of spending time down here in what is the closest thing to Old Florida - very relaxing and a number of outdoor and indoor activities to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
I grew up in Florida - and I miss old Florida - this is old Florida - and is a popular destination for snowbirds, families, couples, and a get away for folks who live in inland Florida, and miss the white sand beaches, like us.
What makes this property unique
Amazing sunsets, beautiful white sand -sugar-like - beaches, excellent restaurants, boating, fishing, sailing, watching the "traffic" on the Intracoastal Waterway, historic Ft. Matanzas and Castillo de San Marcos, historic St. Augustine (the oldest permanent settlement in America), local farmers' markets - two a week; musical and theater events at the St. Augustine Amphitheater and various indoor venues; close to the larger metropolitan area of Jacksonville; other sites unique to St. Augustine - like the Alligator Farm, Dolphin Adventure at Marineland, Botanical Gardens, specialty shops, etc...
