From start to finish we enjoyed every second. We had two families of four visiting from Ohio. The incredible scenery from the property makes it hard to get away, but it helped for us non planners. Highly recommend for families. Kids and adults had a great time one the dock, however there is no ladder.
We convened a group of 8 of us for a post-Thanksgiving wind down. It was the perfect space to relax, taking in the lake views. Couldn't recommend it more!
This cabin was perfect for our family of 6. We especially loved the amazing views from the living room and kitchen, and the upstairs bedroom. The beach area was great for swimming and relaxing. We had everything we needed - no complaints!
We really enjoyed this spot. It’s very peaceful, has a pretty easy walk down to the water that my elderly parents could do, and nice lakefront area with a good amount of beach. We all really enjoyed it.
We only had one night, not long enough! The house was clean and comfortable and the views of the lake were excellent. We did sunset on the dock, which was fabulous. Our bed was very comfortable and the place was quiet. Instructions for checking in and out were straightforward and the place was easy to find. Great stay.
We are so grateful to the property owners for sharing this beautiful spot with us. You can tell the property has been lovingly cared for over the years to create a peaceful home on the lake. Thank you!!!
Excellent Location/Views, Could Use Help in Kitchen/Towels
Location: 10; Views: 10; Privacy: 10; Property grounds: 10. Overall an amazing stay for our extended family and we loved it. You just can't say enough about the view, water access, large deck, and the property grounds. We would definitely stay again, but bring more of our own gear. Suggestions for what you need to bring yourself: Our family cooks a lot and the kitchen gear is lacking - pots/pans are destroyed, only 1 decent serving bowl, no platters or trays, no food storage containers or saran wrap, so if you're a cooking family bring it all yourself (or make a trip to Walmart to buy it like we did, which is unfortunate given the rate charged for this home). Towels are minimal - only 1 dishcloth for the week (again Walmart saved us here and there were paper towels to be used as a substitute), bathrooms only had 1 hand towel for the week, beach towels are old bath towels. Having to do laundry on vacation was a first for me (I've been renting vacation homes for almost 20 years), so again bring your own. Having the kayaks was great, but we were disappointed that the two best ones were locked up so we couldn't use them.
This property combines Flathead Lake nostalgia with comfort. The home has been well-loved by prior generations; the naturally manicured grounds, impressive rock walls, and waterfall all evidence the past effort it took to build a peaceful haven here. Lake views from the deck and house are spectaculor. From the upstairs bath you can sit and listen to the waterfall while enjoying the evening breeze and viewing sunset colors on the lake below. Furnishings are well worn, but still comfortable. Bedding and towels are good quality, appliances all function well. Air conditioning units made both floors comfortable, even on 90 degree days.Home interior was very clean, host was very responsive, the location was close to Woods Bay and Bigfork area attractions with less traffic than the west side of the lake. The trail from the house to the beach/dock is not super easy; you may have to rest a time or two on the way back up. Watercraft stored at the beach are a bonus, along with the adjacent undeveloped lake frontage to explore with kayak or paddleboard. Neighbors are not close; the whole property is quiet. Lake access is a more natural area with bees and frogs and beautiful lake rocks.Picking fresh fruit from the on-site orchard was icing on the cake. We would recommend this rental if you enjoy natural beauty, historic character, and a peaceful secluded site for a fun family experience.
Great main level. Advertised for 8 folks.......but one of the beds is a pull out couch bed in the living area. Too bad that the upstairs couldn't be better planned out (smaller private bathroom) with at least 2 bedrooms ....so that a bed would not be in the living room.
House was secluded, comfortable and roomy. Did not see or hear any neighbors. Large deck is great place for watching activity on lake and sunsets. Mama black bear and 2 cubs made nearly daily rounds down by the lake. Ate plums and apples from the orchard.
Our group of 9 consisting of 6 adults and 3 children ages 5, 2 and 1 year old enjoyed every minute of our stay. We were blessed with awesome weather and only one day of rain which allowed for a trip into Kalispell for some. If you are looking for a private space this is your place! The rock beach is gorgeous, and perfect for little ones. The water is a pristine clear blue and the dock is a perfect place to jump in and enjoy Flathead Lake. The hike down may be a challenge for some and should be considered but even the 2 year old could go up and down by himself while holding an adult hand and the 65 year old grandparents enjoyed the exercise with a promise of the lake awaiting them several times each day. No need for a gym :) Our 5 year old ran up and down with ease!
The house and property are exactly as described and the living room and kitchen area are very roomy even if lower bedrooms are on the smaller size. We had lots of elbow room for the gang. Nothing is fancy but all very comfortable and as a cabin should be. Each room was able to hold a Pack N' Play as well as the beds already in the room. The upstairs master bedroom is enormous and filled with beautiful views. The king size bed was VERY comfy.
We enjoyed watching beautiful sunsets from the deck each evening and watched hummingbirds during the day. We were able to take advantage of picking yummy sweet cherries and that was a hit with the young and old.
Jennifer, the host, is very easy to get in contact with and super helpful and we very much appreciated that this property is handled by the actual owner and not a disinterested property manager. Thank you again Jennifer for sharing your beautiful piece of Flathead Lake with us!
It was a very relaxing atmosphere. We spent quite a lot of time on the deck enjoying the sunrises and sunsets. From the deck we saw several bears, chipmunks, a variety of birds including; a bald eagle and hummingbirds. We also enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking off the dock on the property. The location is great for day trips. We went on a tour with Scenic Flathead Lake Tours. Captain Glen Palmer was our guide. He was very accommodating with our group and took us to points of interest on the lake. There are a number of breweries near by with good food. Tamarack Brewery and Flathead Lake Brewing company being 2 of our favorites. West Glacier National park is approximately 45 minutes away where we enjoyed hiking. Jennifer made renting her home a very easy process! I would definitely recommend renting this property.

This is a picture of our family getting ready to work on the place.
I grew up in the valley just a mile down the road, and my husband's family would come each summer and work on the place. Now his folks have sold it to us and we look forward to sharing our favorite spot with others when we can't be there.
