We loved our stay at Tall Spruce house for our family reunion. We loved the spacious front lawn, and the ping pong table and pool tables were big hits with the teenage cousins. We found perfect seating for cousins to eat outside together and plenty of bathrooms for our group of 24.

We appreciated the property managers. We arrived just as it began pouring rain They were just leaving, but stayed to help us unload during the rain storm. The house had everything we needed.

We seven sisters & cousins had a fantastic time at Tall Spruce House! The house was spacious, the kitchen was beautiful, & the trees and rock face across the road were inspiring. We each had our own bedroom, and though the futon bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms should probably be replaced, we were all well rested! We had no children with us, so we handled the disparities among room and bed sizes with a lottery system & found that we were all content! The outdoor dining table and hot tub were lovely. A couple of us enjoyed the pool table & all of us enjoyed the comfy reading chairs & couches. We spent lots of time at Mesa Verde National Park, on the Durango Silverton Railroad, & in the wonderful towns of Silverton & Durango. Though we could have walked to the Durango Hot Springs from Tall Spruce House, we didn’t have time this trip! We recommend the nearby Hermosa Creek Grill for breakfast!

Our family had a wonderful stay in this clean, spacious, and well-maintained home. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, and the property kept everyone entertained with a pool table, ping-pong, foosball, and plenty of outdoor games. The yard and front patios were ideal for outdoor dining and group activities. It was the perfect layout for a large family, offering plenty of space to gather together or enjoy some quiet time.Check-in was completely seamless, and communication with the rental company was always prompt. My only minor note is that the two smaller bedrooms got extremely hot at night. Coming from Texas, we assumed all bedrooms would have air conditioning or ceiling fans, though we know it has been an exceptionally hot summer. Aside from that, we had a fantastic stay in beautiful Durango and made lasting family memories!

We had an amazing stay! There were 11 adults and 17 kiddos and it was great! Each family had their own room and the kids slept with their parents or in the living room or futon room off the hot tub deck. We had a scavenger hunt throughout the house, r/c cars down the driveway, launching into the grass. We played flag football, soccer and set up an obstacle course on the lawn. And definitely used the hot tub! It was perfect for every age group. We did a lot of hiking and went river rafting. Our only complaint was we needed a few more days! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My fault for not looking closely to the A/C, assumed central air but symbol was window units. Photos do not show window units. Three of the upstairs bedrooms were overly warm in the hot July afternoon, only ceiling fans and floor fans. Windows open before bed, fans on and by morning rooms were a reasonable temperature. A small hole in the kitchen ceiling and one downstairs bedroom floor were a little distressing. Kids enjoyed running on the front lawn and seeing the deer in the early morning.

The home does not have central air and is equipped with ceiling and floor fans, as noted in the listing amenities. As for the small hole in the kitchen ceiling and the area you noticed in the downstairs bedroom, we recently had some maintenance work completed at the property, which is likely what you were seeing. Thank you for your feedback. All of our hot tubs are cleaned, serviced, and refilled for each arrival. Due to our hard mountain water, sometimes the water can still look cloudy even when clean.

The house and property were perfect for our family and with all accommodations to go with it. Very spacious setup for a big family vacation! We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen is the perfect size for a large group and had enough seats for all of us to eat together. We appreciated the plethora of bathrooms to allow for privacy and speed as there was very little need to share. The location was quiet and it was easy to get where we needed without traffic as a hinderance.

Perfect for our hiking family reunion!

This home was close enough to town yet far enough away to enjoy the red cliffs. We had the perfect number of bedrooms and we were able to cookout one night and enjoy the well appointed kitchen and huge dining room!!

Big Beautiful house in great location! We enjoyed our stay here! This house was clean, has lots of room for a large group and a well stocked kitchen. The teens had lots of fun using the ping pong, fuse ball & pool tables. We would definitely stay here again!!

Fantastic Family and Friends Retreat!

Our group of four families (16 total) had a fantastic three day weekend. The tall spruce house could easily have accommodated six more people! Tons of great space here. Great big kitchen and dining area to gather. Everything was fantastic, and the manager gave us a heads up about all the little nuances to be aware of as we got 33 inches of snow! Thanks!
