Romantic "Morning Glory” for 2 has a tranquil setting across from a horse farm!

Romantic getaway for two!
"Morning Glory" cabin has Panoramic views of Dolly sods, Canaan Valley, and the top of Port Crayon from the kitchen window!

It is in a private community with approximately 17 homes spread out on at least four acres!

Winter, please have four-wheel drive and or snow chains; thanks!

"Morning Glory offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere for guests to get refreshed and restored from the inside out!

Beautiful river stone wood-burning fireplace is the heart of the cabin. We provide logs for a few nights of your stay. Please bring kindling wood or a box of fire starter logs to get you started😊

The main bedroom has a king-size bed. Loft has two double beds, a large closet, and plenty of space.

The bathroom boasts an extra large walk-in shower! Kitchen has recently purchased appliances, pots, pans, etc.

Enjoy the hot tub and the small pond in the backyard.

Plenty of outdoor seating, a charcoal grill for cookouts, and an outdoor fire barrel...

Relax in the private subdivision of "Cherry Ridge" and experience wildlife in a country setting! Strict 2 person limit

This place was perfect! Dan and Barb are awesome “Hostess with the mostest” in an understatement. Such a beautiful property, fully stocked, and in such a great location for all your outdoor adventures. It was our first time there and God willing it won’t be our last. We enjoyed several hikes during our stay and the hot tub was so nice to come back too while star gazing. The horses were super friendly and an added bonus. Truly blessed to have had the opportunity to visit their cabin and met some terrific people.

I truly think this was the best place we have ever stayed,the Host Barb greeted us,with flowers and lemonade,she knew it was our 44th Anniversary. Everything was Serene and Peaceful! Everything was Super Clean a Crisp!! 100% Recommended.. You def will not be Sorry!!

The owners keep a very clean and fully stocked with appliances, cabin with everything you would need for a long weekend or a week. There is a Shop abd Save about 20 min away. The view from the cabin is beautiful from sunrise to sunset. The horses are friendly across the way. There are some great parks to see like Blackwater State Park as an example. We had a great long weekend, oh yeah the hot Tub is wonderful too!.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was private and in a beautiful and convenient location close to all the parks we wanted to visit . Being an animal lover the horses were the perfect addition to making this one of our best vacations.

Everything was very nice, the scenic views, the weather, the cabin, everything! Dan and Barbara were kind to offer us recommendations on the trails and restaurants, We mostly hiked, so we didn't spend a lot of time in the cabin, but the cabin was secluded and beautiful. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

We are the vacation owners of "Sunset Cabin" in "Cherry Ridge," listing number 356030.

We enjoyed our little cabins so much that we decided to build another similar to "Sunset Cabin."

We made "Morning Glory" a little bigger, improved the bathroom, and added central air conditioning.

We are from the Tidewater area of Virginia. We moved here to the mountains of WV about 17 plus years ago for skiing, hunting, and hiking but stayed for the summers!

This area of WV has so much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast.: numerous hiking trails, horseback riding, star gazing, hunting, fishing, golfing, kayaking, etc...

All four seasons have something spectacular to offer. This is why we love it here...nature at its best!

Why they chose this property

Our private subdivision, "Cherry Ridge," is a unique place to visit.

Close enough to Canaan Valley state park, Timberline ski resort, Davis, and Thomas but far enough away to feel like you really have gotten away from the business of city life!

The sounds of Nature and abundant wildlife can be experienced here in this peaceful, relaxing setting!

Our goal is for couples to experience the beauty in the stillness ...one of the darkest spots on the east coast enables our guests to see the stars as never before!

We want our guests to walk away relaxed and refreshed for the journey ahead...choose "Morning Glory!" and experience the change!

What makes this property unique

Our cabins are centrally located to many attractions. All are within 20-45 minutes of the cabins.

The new cabin has central air, a large walk-in shower, and plenty of outdoor seating.

I’m addition, plenty of firewood is provided for a couple of cozy nights around the campfire outside or the fireplace inside!

Enjoy the sunsets and the sunrises from our "Morning Glory” cabin!
