Situated at the bottom of the city's historic Royal Mile in the Canongate section, a stones throw from the Scottish parliament and the Royal Palace, this beautiful Apartment offers an amazing location to base your exploration of the beautiful historic Capital city of Edinburgh from.In a busy touristic area with great local transport connections to the city, and links to the airport and train station less than 10 minutes away, the apartment is surrounded by places to eat, drink and enjoy Edinburgh's famed hospitality. Take a walk up the Royal Mile and see Edinburgh's famous Castle, take a bus from Princes street out to Edinburgh Zoo..go shop til you drop on Edinburghs famous Princes Street, whatever you choose to do, you will have a fantastic short break in our wonderful Capital. The apartment boasts great Wi-Fi..electric shower and washing machine, All modern amenities, Clean, comfortable and bright, its a perfect place to stay for solo travellers, business people or couples looking for somewhere in the heart of the city. Accessed by stairs, please be aware elderly or disabled guests may find the two steep flights of stairs too difficult and I apologise for any inconvenience.The apartment faces onto the Canongate and a short walk of 3 minutes to the Royal Palace.Please be aware when booking this rental that it is my residential address and I let to visitors when available.

This quaint apartment in the heart of Edinburgh is in the perfect location for exploring the city, Situated on the royal mile. Ross was by far one of the friendliest and accommodating hosts I have had for any short term rental, made the process an absolute treat. Would recommend for any one to stay here

Cozy, well equipped and perfectly situated

First and foremost: Ross is a wonderful host, even by Scottish standards. The flat is perfectly located (we actually watched the Hogmanay torchlight procession through the living room windows), the bathroom is plentifully equipped, the couch and bed are super comfy and the neighbourhood was fairly quiet. Being a city flat, a few areas are a bit on the tight side of things but other than that, everything was splendid. Many thanks, Ross!

Location, Location, Location

Ross's apartment is located right in the middle of action in Old Town Edinburgh. The Queen's palace, Scottish Parliament and the castle are within walking distance. Buses and Taxis are readily available for those with difficulty walking. It is a small apartment with room for 2 only and it is challenging getting up the stairs to the first floor apartment if you are handicapped, but for the fit and young looking for a place to stay it is a great value. Ross welcomed us into the place and when we had difficulty with the operation of his TV he responded quickly to our queries.

Great Location, Okay accommodations

We spent two nights in this apartment, and while the location is ideal if you want to be in the heart of the Old Town, it lacked the comfort and appeal that we prefer. PROS: comfy bed and pillows; large bath towels; TV and wifi worked without issue; great location - a couple minutes walk to main attractions like Holyrood Palace, the Royal Mile, etc.; owner was pleasant in communications and receptive to suggestions for future renters. Things we didn't care for: pretty loud/noisy during all hours of the day and night, but the owner did provide ear plugs which we slept in both nights. The owner lives in the apartment when it's not rented - we didn't know this when we reserved this place, but in communication with him he said he'd update the listing to include that information. There were no instructions for how to use the laundry, oven, or other appliances in the house which would have been helpful. Again, the owner said he'd include info going forward for other guests. Overall condition and cleanliness of the place was just okay.

Warm welcome & perfect location.

Central, clean and comfortable - would definitely recommend. The host, Ross, was really helpful, communication was excellent and he was very flexible about arrangements to handover keys. Tea, coffee & breakfast cereals were a welcome addition aswell as lovely clean towels. Great value for the location - thanks for making our stay so relaxed Ross 👍
