We enjoyed visiting the spit and shopping, then returning to a lovely place in Fritz Creek.
We had morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the deck.
We saw moose 3 times and many birds.
Really enjoyable.
Beautiful view of mountains and the ocean. Home was very comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Direct tv worked and cell coverage was good at location. We booked the location for the chance of seeing wildlife but we weren’t successful 😢
This cabin is on a slope overlooking Kachemak Bay and Kachemak state park. The view off the deck in the front is gorgeous. We saw a moose off the deck two out of the three days we were there. It is located close to restaurants, shops, and the Homer spit. There are many local restaurants and things to do. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure.
I’ve lived in AK, Anchorage borough, for over 30 years.we have family and friends visit nearly every summer. In the past we’ve always stayed at the Lands End, but no more.
This home is a true jewel. Quiet, clean, fully stocked, 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen great bath! Then the porch is idyllic. Large enough for every one to stretch out, nice table and chairs for enjoying breakfast outside.
But the view knocks you out. There is a large, natural, front yard that brings birds and moose out for your viewing pleasure. The mountains twinkle and shine across Katchemack Bay. Definitely a must stay!
Comfy cabin deep in the trees at Fritz Creek…about 15 minutes outside Homer. Easy drive. Be sure to stop for coffee at the general store. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds with flannel sheets were great. No other buildings or neighbors in sight. The moose walked by the patio one evening. Awesome view of mountains, sky and clouds over the bay from front room. Quiet nights. Check-in worked great.
We stayed here for 3 nights. The property is well maintained and the view out the back window is spectacular. Very relaxing.
The last night we saw a cow moose, another cow and her calf and a bull moose. Fun evening watching them out the back window.
The cabin was clean and attractive. The view of the Bay and Mountains was spectacular. The cow and year old calf showed up every day. We would liked being out to the town.
This was an amazing place to stay. Just outside of town enough to be totally quiet and peaceful. The property was beautiful, clean and the beds were comfortable. Only problem is that the moose knocked down the TV satellite dish so we didn’t have use of the television. But we did yet to see the moose walk by.
We loved every second of our trip to Fritz Creek & Homer. The view of Kachemak Bay & state park from the front porch is beyond breathtaking. We watched a cow moose and her calf meander across the back of the property one afternoon just before sundown. It's a short drive, and occasional water taxi (we used Ashore Water Taxi on the spit), to the most beautiful hiking trails. Grewingk Glacier Trail & Wynn Nature Center were our favorites. The house has a true Alaskan feel with all the creature comforts of home. Cozy, warm & wonderful.
This property was a good sized and warm place to stay during our visit to Homer, with a nice view. We saw a moose mamma and her calf in the yard on our first night. The bed was comfortable. It was not the cleanest property I have stayed in, and the towels were old and thin. There is a washer/dryer which is convenient. Guests should be aware that there is no WIFI and no BBQ, although the picture of the porch showed a grill.

Towels and cleaning service have been replaced. Working on getting WIFI. We are not allowed to have a grill on the covered deck due to insurance purposes. This was stated in the property description.
We spent time halibut fishing (Josh at Big Butts Chater was awesome), on the spit Lots, and went to the winery. Only recommendation would be for mirrors in the bedrooms then 1 bath for 2 couples works well.
Very easy check-in/access. Fantastic view, private, great location. Perfect fit for two couples, or small family of 4. Clean, comfortable.

We had a great stay at this property. It is close enough to Homer to take advantage of the town, but out enough to be very quiet and peaceful. Loved the view and enjoyed sitting outside on the deck with coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening. Even saw moose a couple times near the house.
House met all our needs with comfortable beds and a hot shower. We spent most of our time out in Homer or hiking across the bay in the park. Host recommended the near by Wasabi restaurant which we tried and loved. Also liked the Fritz Creek general store, which had great baked goods. The Eveline State Recreation Area was very close by and offered outstanding views of the mountains and glaciers across the bay and wonderful wildflowers..don't miss it!
We were skeptical we'd see a moose in the backyard, but then we saw a mama with her baby a couple of times. Stunning view also. Would be nice if the couch was a pullout bed.
