Cozy spot to rest your head

The lazy moose was clean, easy to find, quiet, and had everything we needed to get a shower, eat/cook some food, and have a good nights sleep.

Wonderful Homer Home

We had a great time at The Lazy Moose Hide Away Cabins. The camp hosts were kind and responsive. The cabin itself was clean and had all the amenities to have a comfy time. The big deck was great to have the kids play on and the short drive to town was extremely convenient. Very happy we chose to stay there, would use that space again:) thank you!

Great Place to Stay

Good location. Saw a moose galloping through one side of the yard and then momma and baby moose in evening on the other side. Very comfortable. Great deck. Had everything we needed. close to the spit.

Beautiful cabin

Very beautiful cabin with a great deck to sit out and enjoy the views. It was very clean and spacious and close to everything in Homer. Would definitely stay again!

In general everything was fine. We never got the WiFi password, after asking. Could use some new cookware, worn out. Good location and Homer is beautiful.

This cabin was a steal! Just as advertised, perfectly clean, cozy and attractive, a comfy bed, quiet surroundings. Would happily go back!

Very nice property manager

All in all, the place was exactly what we expected. Simple and clean, small and cozy, tiny bathroom, nothing fancy but overall nice. Note that there is only a tiny sliver of a view of the mountains from the deck and one bedroom, and that you only get the downstairs. There were extra clean towels available in the laundry room and the kitchen was stocked with coffee. The property manager was especially nice and had the extra bed all set up and ready for us when we arrived (since we had asked ahead of time about the extra bed). Such a pleasant surprise! Note that, when communicating by VRBO messaging, you need to refresh the page - we missed one of his messages by our mistake. The check-in and check-out were much simpler than expected. Make sure you ask for the code ahead of time.

Nice, Cozy Cottage

Great stay. Nice, cozy lower unit. Quiet neighborhood, easy to walk the dogs. Super comfy beds!!! Host was very responsive and accommodating. We stayed for a week and had all we needed in the kitchen. Also access to a great deck that is gated.

Time to relax

Overall, this one of my top rated VRBO’s. We booked WAY in advance, GPS was easy to navigate. The area was beautiful and relaxing. Thank you for the hospitality provided. The only minor, very minor, issue we had was the beautiful puppets on property climbed right into our truck and walked right into the cabin!

Cozy Winter Retreat

Great location with amazing view & well maintained access roads - even in winter. Cabin is spacious, kitchen supplies could easily accommodate longer stays. We’d love to return at a warmer time of year to take advantage of the outdoor deck, including BBQ. Landlord is very responsive!

Great place to stay!

Overall this was a great place to stay! Had pretty much everything we needed and rooms were spacious! Loved all the outdoor space! Only things I docked a star for was water wasn’t super strong in the shower and in the listing it was hard to tell how the rooms were set up. The description said different than what the pictures showed! In the end it was a king bed in 1 room and 2 single in the other room and that was perfect for our group! Would definitely stay here again!

Adorable Private Cabin

The 2bedroom, 1bath cabin was perfect for my friend and I. We each had our own space but was able to cook and socialize in the kitchen/living room. Adorably decorated, clean, and very comfortable beds. The deck with fire pit was a nice bonus as well as the ability to do laundry. Landlord responded quickly to questions, and location was perfect for access to town of Homer. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
