About this property

Rustic wilderness cabin on 200-acre eco-preserve

Elegant in its simplicity, Trinity Cabin (sleeps 1-2) is a handcrafted studio log cabin with a queen-size log bed, kitchenette and wood stove. Situated on a 200-acre developing eco-preserve, Trinity Cabin is the perfect glamping-style getaway for singles and couples seeking a rustic mountain retreat.

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE REQUESTING TO BOOK: Trinity Cabin does not have its own bathroom inside the cabin, but it does have a small kitchen sink with running cold water. There is a guest bathroom a short walk away at the main house with a hot shower, sink, and flush toilet, as well as clean outhouses across the meadow by the other cabins.

Trinity Cabin is equipped with a 2-burner propane camp stove (propane provided), mini fridge, dining table and chairs, and numerous cookware and utensils. Outside there is a shared picnic area with charcoal BBQ, fire pit, large picnic table and chairs for gathering.

There is also a wood stove for heating with firewood and kindling provided. Directions for how to operate the wood stove are posted in the cabins, but if you would like assistance please let us know.

Please note the fee listed is for two people. For each additional guest there is a charge of $25.

Other things to note:

PET POLICY: Your well-behaved pets are welcome for a fee of $10 per pet, per night. Please note there may be other guests with pets on the property, so any pets you bring must get along with other animals and people.

CELL RECEPTION/INTERNET ACCESS: There is little to no cell reception on the entire property. Consider your stay an opportunity to disconnect from the virtual world and unwind. However, there is wifi available outside the main house if you need (a short walk away from the cabins).

SHARED SPACES: Geronimo, Shamballa, and Trinity Cabin are in close proximity, with communal fire pits, large charcoal BBQ (bring your own charcoal), a 16-foot slab picnic table and chairs nearby. If there are guests in the other cabins, please be mindful of sharing these spaces and keeping noise to a minimum. Serenity and Radiance cabins offer more privacy.

SMOKING/FIRE SAFETY: During high fire season (summer and early fall) we must be extremely careful with fires and smoking. Smoking is allowed on the cabin decks, fire pit and picnic areas, and in your vehicle but not in the outback on trails as it is prohibited by the local forest service.

OUTDOOR FIRE PITS: If you would like to build a fire in the outdoor pit there is a firewood fee of $20 per hour. **Please check in with us at the main house before you use the outdoor pit.***

Come see us at the main house for any questions between 8am and 9PM.

Peaceful Tranquility
Adam, the host was very friendly & responsive. The property is off the grid & off the beaten path, but if you take the time to walk around on the trails, it is beautiful & peaceful. We happened be there on a rainy weekend, so we were able to unwind by the wood stove & read a good book. The cabin we were in could have used some spring cleaning. We spent some time in the first hour sweeping & cleaning surfaces, but we like it clean, even though we love to camp. Some may not care. Overall, it was lovely & we enjoyed the beautiful meadows.

A Hidden Gem!
This is truly a beautiful property! The forest and hiking are so majestic. It's very peaceful and quiet. It's a great place for meditation, reading, yoga and just being amongst those beautiful trees. I stayed for two weeks working on a book and it was just perfect. It's really glamping at its best. All the cabins are really sweet. The fires are perfect for the winter. I would describe the owner as acentric with a huge heart. I am definitely coming back here again.

Wintry Cabin
A gorgeous area and a beautiful cabin. Great place for a couple to go, and ample supplies to cook and clean dishes with. Make sure to keep the fire blazing in the stove and you'll stay warm

Why they chose this property

This land of 200 acres is inviting, private, and resides on a large developing Retreat space. We have an extensive trail system here which is partially in place with marked trails. A trail map is in development. Surrounded by thousands of areas of the Tahoe National Forest. A mere 5 miles from Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park with miles of further hiking.
We now have located in front of the 3 cabins a shared group picnic area with a large charcoal BBQ, a massive 16 foot slab table, a fire pit and misc. chairs for family gathering and group workshops.
