Enjoy this Family Friendly, 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Beach Cottage with a New Kitchen, outdoor shower, and Wrap-Around Screened in Porch with fans. Our kitchen feels like you are right at home with all the cookware, pots, pans, crockpot, blender, and spices. Includes Washer/Dryer/Iron/Hair Dryer/Keurig, and Coffee Maker. This updated Ranch Sleeps 7 and is only a 15 minute walk to the beach, Golf, Restaurants. Backs up to the Intra-Coastal Waterway Public Boat Launch. Only 10 minutes to Southport Ferry to Bald Head Island. Enjoy the quiet beach, fishing on the dock at the boat launch around the corner. Oak Island Golf Club is just a few miles down Oak Island Way or just relax on the screened porch. Fenced in Yard & Outdoor Shower. Maker/Pillows/Bedding except you'll You will NEED SHEETS King (1) Queen (2), twin (1), plus beach towels. Let us know if you are enjoying a special celebration so we can welcome you. Great home for couples/families. Please keep doors shut to avoid excessive heat or beach bugs from getting in the home. Smoke outside only.
Golf Cart Rentals: must notify delivery to NOT park on the lawn. Irrigation system can be damaged, and it kills the grass. Outlet to right of deck.

We loved our stay here. The kitchen was wonderful and fully stocked with everything needed. Beds were very comfortable. We loved the screen in porch and it was only a 5 minute drive to the beach and shops. Parking is available at the beach for 5 an hour. The host was very quick to respond with any questions. Great place, would definitely recommend and are hoping to come back next year!

My stay

The community is very nice, and the house was very nice. But I will say there were no sheets on the beds and I was never notified to bring my own. They try to charge 35 for you to use their sheets they have in the closets.

Beautiful home with amazing wraparound porch

A wonderful place to come and relax. Even though we didn't have the best weather the screened in porch let us be outside without getting rained on.

Cute and Cozy

We stayed here for our annual beach trip. House was close to everything in OKI and the beach! Kitchen was well equipped for our week long stay. We enjoyed sitting on the porch for dinner and games at night. Owners were very accommodating and quick to respond when we needed help! Would stay here again!!

Wonderful house in nice location

We had two families ( four adults, two 3 year olds and a baby) in the house and it was a perfect fit. The house is well appointed, had anything kitchen related we could have needed, clean, and in a quiet area of the island. The drive to beach access is short as are restaurants and Food Lion. We would definitely stay again.

Island Time

Such a great experience! From booking to location to property, everything was so easy. The house was clean, well kept and in a quiet part of town, but still close to the beach and restaurants. We will definitely be back, hopefully soon!!

Relaxing beach getaway

W have had such a wonderful experience. The hosts were easy to communicate with both before and during our trip. It's a beautiful home, very clean and is just as advertised on the site. It has a huge wraparound porch where we spent a lot of our time and the outdoor fans kept it comfortable even in the heat. Our first time using vrbo and we are very happy we did.

The weather could have been a little better,due to the hurricane, however we made the best of it and overall a great vacation. Jen was great and answered any questions right away. She even offered and extra day for us to stay due to the weather.GREAT HOST!!!!

The Perfect House

I usually feel like I make a few sacrifices to stay at the beach. In this case there were none (unless you just need to be closer to the beach). The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. The kitchen is amazing if you like to cook. The real gem of this house is the wrap around screened in porch. It was such a pleasure to stay in such a nice house with great space and great walkable views of the sound.

Great Vacay Property

This house was the most equipped house w have ever rented. Loys of kitchen gadgets. The pouch was amazing, adding a lot more living space. Very close to beach access, restaurants and shopping. Working with the property owners were great and they were very caring! This is a five star rental!

Cute and comfortable house

We stayed at this house on a weekend our friend was getting married. Great, safe feeling neighborhood. Great location. Close to grocery store. Great response from owners. We liked the separation of the bedrooms and the kitchen was well stocked. We would stay there again. Thanks Jen and Ken!

Delightful Stay

Jen’s house on Oak Island is delightful. Wonderful use of the space. Easy quick drive to the 46th street parking and beach access. The beach is full of families and is very dog friendly. The house is also close to a small butterfly garden and access to a he intercostal byway. We had a small electrical problem and Jen responded and took care of it quickly. Highly recommend!

wonderful light-filled home, fab porch

High ceilings, many windows provide a fab connection with beachlife. Huge wraparound screened porch with the best comfortable furniture for outdoor living. Steps to intracoastal park, pier, gazebo to enjoy breezes. The kitchen alone is a delight in which to cook and linger. Plus state of the art hvac, amenities.

Our Amazing Vacation

The house is beautiful and spacious and clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you will ever need. Jen was also so generous and provided us with sheets and towels so we didn’t have to bring them from home. We stayed for 4 days and the weather was rainy so she even allowed us to have a late check out on the last day so we could enjoy another day at the beach. I love the fact that she went above and beyond to make sure we would be happy. My family and I had an unforgettable vacation.

Beautiful and relaxing

The pictures of this place don’t do it justice the inside of the home is beautiful and updated, very clean. Beds were comfortable, has all the necessities you need for a week at the beach. The only thing I can say is wasn’t as close to beach as I thought. It’s about 1.4 Miles to the beach access that is recommended, if going alone definitely easy walk but if going with kids suggest you drive or rent golf cart. Also no TV’s in bedrooms. But overall wonderful, would definitely rent again. Owner also very timely in getting back to you!

We just returned from a stay and were very pleased with the property. The home was clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. The screened in porch was great for relaxing. We enjoyed walking the block to the fishing/boat dock each day. My husband thoroughly enjoyed going there at low tide and throwing his net out to catch shrimp and other small fish. The drive to the beach was simple and we enjoyed the access point. We did not make use of the bathrooms there but the outdoor shower spot was great and it’s right next to a splash pad for the kids! Great local restaurants. I fell in love with Turtle Island, although you better get there at five if you don’t want to wait a long time. We also went every night to Sandcastle sweets and treats for the Italian ice. Yum! Would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful!

This home is great! Nicely decorated and the location is perfect. Close to stores, ice cream and a few blocks from the beach! The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, small appliances and enough dinnerware for over 12 people! (We had family over for dinner). Bedrooms are nice, only complaint is the twin bed is creaky. Master bathroom has a walk-in shower, which was great for my elderly mom. Jen allowed us the use of their bikes too. She texted me some info about Oak Island and things to do. I messaged her once during our stay and she got back to me within a few minutes. Our favorite place was the enclosed porch, we used that for family games, dinner, conversations, coffee, and just hanging out.

Great Vacation Retreat

We had a wonderful week on Oak Island at this very comfortable and spacious house. The owners were gracious to let us use their beach bikes and we really enjoyed exploring the neighborhoods. We relaxed on the screened porch in the evening listening to the chorus of roosting birds before sunset and enjoyed coffee in the mornings. The short drive to the beach was only five minutes away as it was too far to walk with all the beach things needed. Not to miss is the farmer's market in the town square on Monday where we went prior to relaxing on the beach for the day. We also went to the Friday evening local concert there but if going make sure to take your cold beverage in a cooler and chairs or a blanket and get there early. I must also say that I have never seen such a fully stocked kitchen at any rental property. We didn't even need to bring condiments or spices! Thanks for making our vacation a memorable one.

Family Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay at Oak Island. Jen was a fantastic host. She was helpful from day one of booking all the way up until our checkout. I had told her about how excited my two little boys were about going to the beach. Upon our arrival, we found toys laid out for our boys on the dining room table and a sweet message on vrbo from her about the beach toys! Our favorite thing about the house was definitely the porch. My husband and I both loved having our morning coffee and quiet time out there. Our boys always chose to eat out there any chance they could get. We had almost all of our meals out there! The house was clean, organized, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was a dream to cook in! I also really enjoyed using the gas grill on the back deck. The house was well stocked on pans, utensils, cups, plates, towels, and more. Jen provided sheets for us which was a blessing! Having a house with so many things provided helped make the stay that much better. It was the perfect house for our family vacation! Our family would definitely love to stay there again in the future.

We love the warm & friendly atmosphere of Oak Island and enjoy spending time at the beach and eating at our favorite beach places like Pirates Deck, Pepperoni Grill, Turtle Island and Oak Island Restaurant. After a fun day at the beach, we love taking an outdoor shower in the fenced-in back yard. Then we retreat to our screened in porch and listen to music by candlelight. We hope your family enjoys their ISLAND TIME here as much as we do.

If you are looking for a quiet get-away with family & friends, Oak Island is the beach for you! Just a 10 minute drive to Southport, Holden Beach, & the Ferry to Bald Head Island. Check out Wilmington for additional activities if you want some excursions as well.

Walk to the pier behind the home to watch the sunset or drive down the end of island (the pointe) to look at all the pretty beach homes.
