This beautifully refurbished condo is a jewel located right off the Jefferies service drive. The property has all of the amenities to make your stay super enjoyable and stress free. If you love to cook, enjoy the newly remodeled kitchen with state of the art appliances that include dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. Vacationers that prefer to dine out will enjoy the close proximity to New Detroit Center, Downtown and more local eateries. The lower condo is on a beautiful tree lined street. Get the neighborhood flavor of Detroit at the totally new Jefferies Jewel. Guests will appreciate the close proximity to 3 freeways to easily navigate their Detroit visit. The condo is right around the corner from Mbads indoor/ outdoor museum, the Motown Museum, Fischer Theater and the New Center Area. If you have never visited an Historical African Baptist Church please attend Tabernacle located at 2080 Grand River. This 100 year old congregation is located in a new edifice with the old time religious flavor.Close proximity to the Jefferies means travel to Downtown Detroit takes about 5-10 minutes. Travel to and from the airport is easy and direct. Visit us and enjoy Detroit from the neighborhood.

Jeffries Jewel

Very nice renovation of the downstairs of a double. Kitchen, dining area, and living room are modern and well appointed. Two bedrooms and bathroom are not fancy, but very comfortable. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. This home is in a conveniently located in a working class neighborhood that is undergoing a rejuvenation. Overall a good experience.

Clean, quite location

Rhonda's place is very clean and comfortable. I stayed here for a week for business and it was a great home base - spacious, clean, comfortable, and lots of parking around. Would stay again!

A True Home Away From Home

Miss Johnson’s property is even better than the pictures. It’s location is close to so many great Detroit landmarks. The house is filled with charming, special touches that make the guest really and truly feel at home. Anyone who enters will know this space is filled with love. Not a good experience.

There were a variety of issues that made this less than positive. The owner changed the lockbox code but didn't update the access instructions so we had difficulty getting in and then it took too long to reach the owner. There were not enough clean towels for 3 people for 4 days (which were thin/poor quality to begin with), while there was a huge pile of dirty linen in the closet). We were not familiar with Detroit, and found ourselves in a run down neighborhood, with many boarded up homes. I guess I should have done better research on the area, as I was later advised that this was a terrible neighborhood for a B&B.

Great Stay

We had a wonderful time staying at the Jewel. The property was extremely clean, well appointed and had everything that you would need, along with a lovely box of snacks, coffee pods, and breakfast treats. It was centrally located for us to go downtown and to Mexican town. Our host was extremely prompt in answering any questions, she was thoughtful and very kind in our texting. I would absolutely recommend this property!

A Jewel in Motown

We really enjoyed our hometown Detroit stay, Dec 21 thru Dec 28 2018. The furnishings were very modern & clean and the large flat screen TV was great along with the new-age ceiling fans and memory foam mattresses, we loved them. The kitchen was an HGTV beauty, nice large counter with seating and all the necessary amenities. The stainless steel frig was large enough to accomodate all the groceries we brought. Our family members we invited for dinner were very impressed. Would definitely stay again. Only additional suggestion is a motion flood light on side drive-way area. It's definitely a five star A-plus rental. Thank you Ms. Rhonda and Happy New Year.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rhonda's lovely home. The house was nicely decorated, not cluttered, very clean. I would have loved a couple extra blankets for the beds, but her heating system was great. My only minor complaint was when I used the shower and turned the shower knob to turn on the shower head, I thought I saw dry blood on the knob and was frightened by the site. I tried cleaning it and it wouldn't come off which led me to believe it was a dark red nail polish. I sent Rhonda a text and told her about it and she said she had never noticed it before and would address it immediately. Understandable since the mark was at the bottom and not easily seen. I would stay at this flat again. Thank you Rhonda.

Jefferies Jewel - a Chic 2 Bedroom Condo

The Jefferies Jewel is a wonderful, inviting 2 bedroom condo located 10 minutes from downtown Detroit and 15 minutes from Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in a quiet neighborhood. It was a fantastic place to relax after a busy day in Detroit. Rhonda was the perfect host making sure we had all our questions answered before our arrival and that we were well taken care of during our stay.

I actually grew up in this area and wanted to be part of the revitalization that has spread from downtown to our neighborhoods. The home has 2 condo units and is over 100 years old. The refurbishing has been a labor of love that guests will appreciate.

The Jefferies Jewel has a stately beauty and charm that cannot be recreated in new developments. The high ceiling and hardwood floors have been married to a totally updated kitchen. The combination is sure to please!
