About this property

Cozy Lake Front Cottage w/dock, perfect family retreat!

Welcome to our little slice of Heaven. Our 3 level lake cottage is a perfect family retreat. It is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath (walk-in showers) home with a twin loft and 1 day bed for sleeping up to 8 people ( 8 is 2 person per bed, 2 on sofa sleeper, and 1 in loft and 1 in day bed). It is conveniently located just minutes north of Camdenton near Bridal Cave or on the 11MM of the Niangua Arm by water. This is a lake front house with actual shoreline (deep water) and a dock with two empty slips 10x20, this is not just lake access. Located on a quiet street. The driveway will hold 5 vehicles or 3 vehicles with 2 trailers attached.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans, baking dishes, utensils, and a variety of cooking gadgets. We keep sugar, flour, oils, and spices on had so you don't have to worry about the basics. We do have washer and dryers. Basic laundry supplies are available.

The walk in level has a parlor that has one futon and the twin loft bed, bathroom with washer/dryer, and lake view bedroom with a full size bed and walk out deck.
The second level includes a spacious living room with lake view, a futon, sofa, and kitchen with dining area.
The third level includes a bedroom with a queen size bed, bathroom, and a walk out door to the lake. Laundry service is available. Owner lives next door, so you will be able to have quick communication if needed.

We have Wi-fi and our TV's are equipped with YouTube TV, Hulu, Netflix, and more. Cell service is spotty in the house but good outside.

A great house for 2 family's with children to share. It's an off season paradise for fishermen, minutes by water from the Larry Gale public access ramp.

Dock Rules:

1. Please use good judgment and practicel safety first when on the dock or in the water. Use at your own risk.

2. Adult supervision for children under 16 years of age.

3. All children must wear life jackets.

4. Please put dock ladder back to an upright position when done.

5. Shoes are recommended unless in the water.

6. Renters and their guests are responsible for bringing their own life jackets and flotation devices to use on the dock. These items are not provided.

NO FIREWORKS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED.

Great spot on the lake

While it was a bit of a challenge to get to (we were on motorcycles) the property was great and totally as described. The owners were warm and welcoming and even provided us with a couple of SUPs to use during our stay. Will definitely book again when in the area.

Beautiful Lake Space

The house was as listed. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook. The beds were comfortable. The deck area was nice, but it did need a good cleaning. The owner is very responsive. The home was comfortable and a good option for our family of 6. The road leading to the house isn't super well kept. We had a mini van pulling a trailer and had a hard time not bottoming out. I imagine this wouldn't be a big issue with a bigger vehicle. Overall, this rental is a good value. We'd stay again if we were back this way.

Weekend away

Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay so this isn’t a complaint rather a suggestion. You should probably get a better grill you need to be able to close a lid when grilling pork steaks so you can cook them more evenly.

Amazing time!

This is a little slice of heaven. The four of us had an amazing time! The only suggestions I would give is to provide additional hangers and plastic storage bins for clothes, as most of the storage in the home is already in use, we had to live out of our suitcases for the week. Also, the coffee maker takes forever to make a pot of coffee (over 30 mins), so we bought our own Keurig while we were there. Other than that, it was an amazing home and view - and you also get an extra special treat when Harry (the owners' dog) comes to visit. Thank you for an amazing time!

5 stars for cleanliness, but be mindful of the owner’s presence

This was by far the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in—absolutely spotless and very well-maintained. It’s clear the owners take great pride in the interior of their property, which we appreciated.One thing to note: the owners live next door and are quite present. During our stay, they were quick to comment when my adult children had the door open for what they felt was too long, calling over to ask that it be shut. It’s something to be aware of if you value complete privacy or prefer a more hands-off host experience.Overall, a beautiful and extremely clean home—just be prepared for a bit more oversight than you might expect from a typical vacation rental.
