WATER AND OUTDOOR FUN
Large dock with calm approximately 3-foot water, perfect for fishing, swimming, and kayaking (May through December).
Creek access on the property with crystal clear water, small splashing spots, bluffs, frogs, crawfish, minnows, and wildlife.
Walk off the dock into shallow water and kayak or wade toward Bollinger Creek to the left. Within 5–10 minutes you can access the creek on foot and explore clear water, small pools, and scenic rock formations. A truly unique lake and creek experience.
Mushroom foraging available on the property. We regularly find morels, smooth and golden chanterelles, indigo milk caps, and more.
Kayaks available:
1 single adult kayak & 1 single child kayak
Adult and child life vests provided.
Camp too. Even with a cabin, guests are welcome to set up tents along the shoreline or on the dock. This is perfect for groups where some want cabin comfort and others want the camping experience.
ATVs & OFF-ROAD ACTIVITIES
The dock is on ground with no water February through April. This is also a great time for ATVing in the lake bed. Guests may bring their own ATVs for riding on natural, unmarked paths and off-road throughout the property year-round; when Lake of the Ozarks is drawn down, riders may also access the exposed lakebed via natural paths, with all riding on natural, unmaintained terrain and at guests’ own risk.
GOOD TO KNOW
Please bring sturdy shoes or hiking boots. There are stairs into the cabin and natural terrain throughout the property. Accessing the dock requires walking down a graded slope to the dock stairs.
There are two fire pit areas. One is level and located behind the cabin near a picnic table. The lakeside fire pit has beautiful views but sits on a slightly rocky slope.
Insect repellent is recommended. This is a cabin in the woods on a lake.
SECURITY DISCLOSURE
Two Ring doorbell cameras are located at the front and rear entrances of the cabin only. They are not actively monitored and are used for security and check-in verification.
There are no cameras inside the cabin, at the dock, lakeside, or near the outdoor shower.
OPTIONAL HUNTING ADD-ON
Hunting fee is $300 per stay. This covers either two adult hunters or one adult with up to two youth.
The property includes 42 acres with pass-through deer, turkey, rabbit, and waterfowl. There is 1,000 feet of lake frontage suitable for duck and goose hunting.
Hunter’s liability insurance and valid licenses are required prior to arrival. Guests must bring their own tree stands. The hunting fee will be requested after verification of insurance and licenses.
This is more than a typical lake rental. Enjoy the privacy, explore the land, spread out, camp under the stars, or stay up late by the fire and truly disconnect.

About the host
Hosted by Cory Yates
We are a military family of 7 and reside in St. Louis. We love getting away from our busy life and enjoying nature. We found a place to swim, camp, hike and wander that we hope to buildup over the years! When our kids have sports on weekends, we don't come to the lake so happy to share it with you!
Why they chose this property
We visited the Lake of the Ozarks in September 2020 and just two weeks later put an offer on over 40 acres of undeveloped lakefront property. With so many unpredictable events happening in 2020 & 2021, finding a place for our family to come together and find a simpler life is the goal. A place to visit for a weekend and just focus on what is important during these unpredictable times. But still build a safe haven for togetherness and adventure for generations to come. I can't imagine a better place to count our blessings, love our family and hope for our future!
Since we both still work full-time in St. Louis, we share our special place on weekends and weekdays when we can not be there.
Since we both still work full-time in St. Louis, we share our special place on weekends and weekdays when we can not be there.
What makes this property unique
Privacy, beautiful quiet side of lake with 42 Acres to explore that includes a year round creek. Our property includes 1,000 feet of shoreline allowing for a more secluded feeling. With our water being only 3 feet, we feel it's the perfect depth for kids to play, to jump in for a cool off and fishing! Wade through the water towards Bollinger Creek for a special experience with buffs, swimming holes, clear cold water and wildlife!
