Sky High Lodge - A View Like No Other!!! - Blue Ridge, GA

The SKY is the limit for this stunning luxury cabin perched mountainside in the famed Aska Adventure Area!  At Sky High Lodge, you can enjoy incredible views from this cabin's almost literal mountain top location...You can even see the beautiful Lake Blue Ridge weave its way around the mountains below!  This cabin is a sight within itself: from impeccable decor to an abundance of amenities (including eight large flat screen TVS!) this luxury cabin combines functionality & technology to make your getaway one of a kind!

We have tried to think of everything to ensure you have a great vacation.  The Master king bedroom is on the main level when you walk in and has a full bathtub, separate shower and double vanities.  There is also a 1/2 bath on the main floor.  This is also where the kitchen is located along with the dining and living area.  There is also a side pantry/bar/coffee nook area.  Outside this level you have a full wrap around porch that has outdoor dining table, outdoor gas grill, and living space area with outdoor wood burning fire place with a flat screen TV above.  

Basement floor we have another king bedroom with separate tub/shower combo.  There is also a fold out couch in the living area space in front of the indoor gas fireplace.  Recreational area includes a pool table and mini bar area as well as a high top table and chairs.  The full-size washing machine and dryer are also located on this floor.  Outside you have another living area with a wood burning fireplace & flat screen TV above.  This is also a wrap around deck with outdoor 8 person jaccuzi/hot tub.

Upstairs you have 2 bedrooms.  One is a queen bed over queen bed bunk room with a twin bed in the loft above the bathroom.  There is a full separate bathroom for both upstairs rooms with a shower/tub combo.  The other bedroom is a King bed with a twin in the loft above the bathroom.

Great Spot

Great Cabin in the blue ridge mountains. Spectacular views of the mountains and blue ridge lake. Near lots of great hiking nearby. Secluded, but only 15-20 minutes away from town of Blue Ridge so has the best of both worlds. Highly recommend.

What a lovely property, view and stay. Ron was great at staying in touch and making sure he was available for questions. The home was more than we could have asked for and the views to die for. 100% recommend this property for so rest and relaxation while still near enough to town.

Perfect Getaway

We LOVED this cabin! View is unparalleled!!! The covered porches and fireplaces are great perks. Furnishings and decor are top notch. Ron is easy to communicate with. Would love to come back in the future.

Beautiful home. Only request would be to trim down the undergrowth of greenery growing for the perfect view of the lake and mountains from the hot tub.

Great View! Fantastic escape to the mountains!

Our group enjoyed our stay at the Sky High Lodge. The climb up the hill to the house was pretty steep, glad we didn't come during freezing temps but the views were spectacular. The cabin was just as advertised, beds were comfortable and top-notch furnishings. We coordinated with Ron for firewood and spent every evening out on the patio with a fire and view. Incredible view of the stars in the night sky.

Beautiful view! Love the outside fireplace. Great open space to gather inside kitchen/family room area. Owner very easy to deal with and very responsive. House was as advertised. Close to Blue Ridge and fun things to do - great hiking and apple orchards. Comfortable beds! Tight parking if more than 2 vehicles. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing getaway

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The pictures somehow do not do the view justice. I am also somewhat of a neat freak and the cabin was extremely clean - cleaner then most hotels I’ve visited. We also had an issue with our car and the owner was very responsive, helping us to arrange a repair truck which really made a potentially difficult situation much easier. My family had an amazing time and we would 100% return!

Go, go, go!

Great house with a breathtaking view. Plenty to do at the house or short drive to hiking, shopping and restaurants. Drive in theater in the summer and tubing nearby. The drive up to the house and the driveway, in particular, are as steep as everyone says, but we didn't have any problems over Memorial Day weekend. We had 4 couples and had plenty of room. We enjoyed the entire stay.

This vacation was amazing!!

The cabin is just gorgeous! Plenty of places to sleep, the decoration was so pretty, the views were spectacular, and the owner was very attentive. We played pool every night while the kids enjoyed watching a movie or playing board games. We made s’mores. We rested. We laughed. Best cabin we have rented so far. We would love to return in the summer. I would highly recommended!!

Beautiful place

We had a wonderful vacation here! The cabin is very spacious and had plenty of room for us to do things together and also had space for people to do their own thing. My 1.5 year old grandson had lots of space to play and run inside. The driveway is steep and the road up and down the mountain took a little getting used to but the beautiful view more than made up for it. It was breath taking! We loved the porches, we ate outside sometimes and made use of the hot tub several nights. There were many activities close by that we enjoyed and the town of Blue Ridge has cute shops to visit. We would definitely stay at the Sky High Lodge again! All 7 of us loved it!

Needs attention

Enjoyed but the property is in rough shape. Fence up driveway is falling apart. Two chairs by main floor fireplace are broken - need replaced. Hot tub cover needs replaced. Lighting inside throughout is pretty bad. Distribution of heat is terrible room by room. No tissues on hand. Cue sticks at pool table in bad shape. Hardly any chalk at pool table.

Excellent property

Sky High Lodge was excellent. House beautifully kept and very new. TV in every room and great family areas on bottom and main floors. Spent lots of time on the house and hiking in the surrounding areas. Great Jacuzzi with TV and fireplace and a great view of the mountains. Kitchen is pretty well equipped and a nice size allowing for cooking and socializing. Dinning area was excellent for our party of 10 Sitting at a single long table. Would recommend bringing some board games and currently there are none in the house and probably the only negative. Overall excellent and would definitely stay again and would certainly recommend. Finally. Ron was an excellent Host and always attentive.

Picturesque Fall gathering

We found what we were looking for in a luxury cabin with gorgeous and cozy accomodations ... and pretty darn close to catching the fall color! We also brought with us, the cold weather and burned a good amount of wood in the outside fireplace with 2 other couples. Cooked so great dinners too! Our friends were so impressed with the layout of the house… but that VIEW! Even though one day, we visited the town of Blue Ridge, and ventured out for a cruise in Blue Lake on a pontoon boat, …exciting as that was, I could have just as well stayed at the cabin and enjoy the gorgeous views!! Mesmerizing!! We look forward to coming back again real soon!! Thank you Ron for being so quick to respond on any request!

Great location close to ASKA trails

First, let’s talk about what is important: comfortable beds and good towels. Why is this the first thing I mention? Because we decided to extend our stay in the mountains and could not stay here so we had to book somewhere else with uncomfortable beds and flimsy towels. Staying here was like staying at a hotel. The views were great. There is a great seating area outside. There is solid internet connectivity for those that may need to do some work. The TVs are updated so you can log into your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, or other accounts to watch your favorite movies and shows. ASKA hiking trails really close by. We did have a problem with a storm that went through the area that knocked out the power for a while, but that can happen in the mountains. Also, as pointed out by others, the drive up to the house is pretty steep, but small price to pay for the views.

Excellent Property, Quiet, and Relaxing!

My wife and I have rented now over 12 different cabins in the general Blue Ridge area. Our stay at the Sky High Lodge was one of the best! First - the cabin is very quiet and relaxing with an outstanding view over the lake and extended mountain ranges. No cabins right beside it. Lots of trees and space separating the next cabin. Very clean and well kept. Very well stocked. A ton of very large 65 inch smart TV's everywhere. We like watching sporting events, so that was easy to do at night. Nicely decorated with comfortable beds. One night was nice to grill steaks on the gas grill and then light a fire with the outside fireplace and watch a ball game on the big TV over the outside fireplace. Another cool setup is just below that deck is the hot tub with a fireplace and TV right beside it. Pretty quick drive to downtown and the Blue Ridge Lake. Ron was very responsive with a couple of our questions. He was very easy to work with on the reservations and we had easy access to the cabin. Ron - you made our repeat list. We will definitely rent again from you when we have a chance. Thank you!

Gorgeous Home - Amazing Views

The property is absolutely gorgeous and kept very clean. The rooms are huge and well decorated. The views are absolutely amazing. Prior to our stay, the owner messaged me to let me know there would be no internet. He has agreed to compensate me for the lack of this amenity, which was helpful. During our stay, it rained and we lost power. Note, as a general rule for this area, it seems as though power goes out frequently due to minor rain storms. I've noticed that in a few of the mountain houses I've stayed at. On a positive note, the house runs on a generator which was very nice during the power outage. The generator does not provide power to the air condition system, hot tub, stove/oven, and dryer (but provides power to the remaining appliances). Generally, the cell service was spotty, which was unfortunate since we didn't have internet, but you can't expect great service in the mountains. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was a shame that the weather didn't cooperate, but it was really nice to have the generator during the power outage.

Awesome Trip

We spent a long weekend with family in this home. To start, the pictures don’t do it justice. It is every bit as nice in person. The house seems a lot bigger than you would expect because there is no wasted space. The house was incredibly clean and very well stocked with utensils to cook. It is updated and very well decorated which is a nice touch. The house was great for families because each bedroom had its own bathroom as well as a tv. The common area spaces were very well appointed, with an open layout and plenty of seating. It was nice to have the family area off of the kitchen and then have an additional spacious social area downstairs as well. The decks give a beautiful view and had plenty of seating for our group. We were only about a 10 minute drive to the downtown area so it was nice to be close, but also have a view from up high. The fireplaces were a great treat to use during the chilly nights and we all thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The owner was incredibly responsive throughout our stay and was more generous than we could have expected. We had a unique experience when there was unexpected snow and he arranged to have someone ice the driveway prior to our visit. We would absolutely rent this house again and if you are reading this, let me tell you it is completely worth your stay. We won’t bother looking anywhere else when we go back to blue ridge!

Incredible View in a Cozy Cabin

We had a great time at the (appropriately named) Sky High Lodge, and Ron was excellent to work with! The views from the cabin were incredible, and the layout was very cozy and the gas fireplace was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the bedrooms all had their own bathrooms which was very nice. I would highly recommend!

Fourth of July retreat

Enjoyed a restful stay in a beautiful mountain top location. The driveway is steep, so be prepared for an energetic walk if you want to see the neighborhood on foot.
