Nestled in a fir and arbutus forest, this private guest suite is on a lower floor of our home on a 6.5 acre property in Highlands next to the famed Gowlland Tod Provincial Park. Masterfully landscaped with a plethora of flowers, shrubs, seasonal creek, raised garden beds and beautiful rock work.
Throughout the suite enjoy exquisite custom craftsmanship with solid bird's eye maple and walnut interior doors, Italian wallpaper and curtains, and elegant décor.
You will find the spacious master bedroom with luxurious king size bed, his and her closets, and a siting area with 3 walls of windows. The opulent 6-piece master ensuite bathroom offers dual sinks, a deep soaker tub, and a separate sit-down shower.
The second bedroom features a queen size bed, spacious closet, and a window with pastoral forest views. The 3-piece bathroom offers a sit-down shower.

The entertainment room offers a large TV with Roku channels, including Netflix. A spacious desk with a lamp can be used if working from home. A comfortable chair and a couch with a coffee table. For a larger group bookings this room is utilized as a third bedroom.
The cozy fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, toaster oven, dual induction cooktop, a fridge/freezer. Complimentary coffee and tea are provided. The dining table seats 4. Due to allergies there is a restriction on frying or cooking foods with strong aromas.
Private patio is the ideal place to enjoy a meal outdoors or curl up with a good book and admire the peace and quite of your own natural oasis. You may be greeted by a family of deer that gracefully roam the surrounding forest. Owls and squirrels are also frequent visitors around here.
The location is ideal if you love nature and hikes. The Gowlland Tod Park is only a five minutes walking distance with spectacular views of the inlet and the other side of Malahat. Also, the 360-degree view from the top of Lone Tree Hill is incredible on a clear day and the quick hike (about 20 minutes one way) is only 3 minutes drive.
There is only one turn coming from the TransCanada highway and the drive is about 10 minutes passed the last set of lights. Only about 10 minute drive to Starbucks, Dairy Queen and grocery stores.
Some popular destination drive times are:
• Goldstream Provincial Park 15 min - home of seeing the salmon run, Niagara Falls, and numerous hiking trails. Perfect place for having a camp fire and marshmallows.
• Esquimalt lagoon 20 min. Features miles of breathtaking ocean beachfront with a view across to the City of Victoria at one end and the amazing snow capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains at the other. It is perfect for walks, beachcombing, sand castles, and admiring wood sculptures. Across the road from the beach is the lagoon, where ducks and swans float and herons and eagles are often spotted along with many other shorebirds.
