Originally owned by Tybee Island's first schoolteacher and her children, this historic 1935 cottage has been lovingly renovated to accommodate your family and friends in style. Step inside to discover original refinished wood floors, bright white bead-board walls, high ceilings, and upgraded new bathrooms, all complemented by a retro kitchen featuring darling turquoise appliances and ample cocktail space.

Enter through the cozy screened porch, which offers a delightful private pool view. Passing through French doors, you'll find the main cottage's living/dining/kitchen area, featuring a large-screen TV, custom comfy furniture, and a round dining table with five chairs. The open kitchen with bar seating adds to the charm and convenience.

The main cottage boasts three bedrooms, each offering unique comforts. The primary bedroom delights with a king bed, a pool view, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower. The two additional bedrooms feature king beds, and one of them includes adorable bunk beds with custom designer "privacy" curtains. A full-hall bathroom with a walk-in shower completes this delightful space.

Step outside to revel in the beauty of the private 12'x28' pool and new stand-alone hot tub, complete with grill, loungers, and dining space. The pool area also features a "Tybee standard" outdoor hot/cold shower, ensuring refreshing moments after a day at the beach. The convenience of a half bathroom and laundry facilities on the lower level adds to the allure.

The charming carriage house apartment has its private entrance, accessible via a small flight of stairs leading to the screened-in porch and front door. This unique space offers a 4th bedroom, an efficient kitchen, a TV, and a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, providing couples or families with young children a separate and cozy retreat from the main house.

We had a great stay at the Pink Zebra on Tybee Island! The location was perfect — easy access to bike around the whole island and close to everything we wanted to see. The pool and hot tub were fantastic, and the outdoor seating area was a great spot to relax and hang out. The house had a comfortable, lived-in feel and came with everything we needed for a fantastic stay.The only small hiccup was that the key access instructions weren’t very clear, which caused a slight delay at check-in, but once we got that sorted out, everything went smoothly. Overall, we’d definitely stay here again!

This was a nice little bungalow type set up. I did not realize it had separate quarters for some of its offerings and made the main area a little smaller than expected, however worked out just fine. It was perfectly suited for the 8 adults (4 couples) and one child age 6. We liked all the decor, pool, and hot tub! The pool was great but heavily shaded. So not as much use as anticipated. For feedback to consider improvements I would recommend upgrading cookware, and knifes in kitchen. Making meals was challenging with poor sized skillets, and cutting stuff to cook with knives that were dull was challenging- also get rid of ceramic cutting boards, they are what dulls the knives so bad. Oven and equipment worked great, it was just tight quarters to cook in.. living room was tight but comfortable. Beach access was super close, and easy access.

Tybee Bachelorette Weekend !

Can not recommend this property enough!!!! 10 of us went to Tybee for a long weekend for a bachelorette party and the house was perfect. Everyone slept comfortably, theme of the house was adorable, the distance from beach was ideal and we loved staying on the island. 1000/10 experience

Cute house!

We loved staying at Tybee for our bachelorette weekend! The only issues we had was the living room was not as clean as we would’ve liked (the main rug, center rug was quite dirty) and the doors in the house are very old so it makes it hard to open/close the doors sometimes. Other than that, it was fantastic. Still a cute, adorable house!

The main house accommodated 6 adults and 3 kids perfectly and the guest house was a dream for my 2 teenage daughters. The pool is awesome! The privacy is awesome and shade in the pool area helps keep the water temperature perfect! Not too warm like most summer pools in the area. The outdoor shower, bath room, and refrigerator is a great convenience while swimming. We spend most of our time at the pool and walked across the street to the beach almost every day as well, very close! Loved this place and will try to stay again!

Nice spot for a long weekend

Great location -layout was nice pool area as nice as well- Seven ladies traveled I think it would be difficult with couples as it’s a quaint cottage, but not a lot of space to spread out. The shepherd cottage is cute, but definitely smelled musty. No one opted to stay up there. A block and a half to the beach was very convenient. Only 2 improvements- We were disappointed that we did not find any beach towels in the unit. I had asked the property manager in an email a few times and they never responded. Pool is not heated- It was really cold, but it was an April trip.

Going with the flow in Tybee

We originally booked the pink zebra cottage, but that property suffered some plumbing/HVAC damage right before we arrived, so the property manager swooped in and saved the day finding us the 12th and Ocean house to stay in. They were so helpful in ensuring we had everything we needed and since we cut our stay here short by three days, we were refunded our money. This property was also more expensive, but they did not increase our rate. We were so grateful to Kelly's help and she saved our vacation and saved the day! 12th and Ocean is an awesome property for families. It's huge and the access to the beach is by far the best perk, with the all seasons room and outdoor patio coming a close second. There were a few things that maybe could have been different - one guest said there was sand in their never before slept in bed, and the dishes seemed to be dirty (old dishwasher), but we were able to deal with these things just find. Not deal breakers. Overall, I would totally recommend this property and booking with Tybee Cottages. They went above and beyond and the property was perfect for our family.

Not as advertised

I don’t expect perfection I know this is a beach rental. It was a Lovely home and is in a great location. Firstly, the hot tub was advertised as a feature of the property, but upon arrival it was pad locked. The instruction manual inside the house stated that guest were not allowed to use the hot tub and would be fine if they tampered with it. This was misleading as we specifically chose this property for the hot tub. Additionally the laundry room was locked upon arrival after calling and texting three times to request the door to be unlocked. I had to call again the next morning and there was no notation of me calling at all the property management finally had the door open the next day, the condition of the pool and the cleanliness of the living area were brought to the answering service attention during my calls, there were leaves and dark plant matter floating on the surface of the pool as well as debris at the bottom despite requesting the pool to be cleaned three times it was not attended to during our stay. The condition of the living area was never addressed. the cleanliness of the house was subpar , there was visible mildew in the hall bathroom and the carpet and upholstery were visibly stained and look dirty. Given these conditions I am requesting refund of the cleaning fee as the house and pool were not maintained to an acceptable standard and not having the use of the advertised hot tub listed in the amenities.the amenities. advertised.

Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the cottage it was dark out, instructions on finding the lock box w/ the key to be able to enter the property was terrible. Directions said the lock box was on an arch next to the pool, An arch to me is round like a MC Donald’s arch, I found that rounded arch on the side of the cottage but there was no lock box any where, upon further looking there was a trellis on the side of the pool that they were calling an arch and that’s where the lock box w/key was. Then the key doesn’t work to open the door, the side door was left unlocked because it doesn’t lock properly. We were tired from driving all day and hungry, and the management company was not easy to get ahold of, they ghosted our calls for hours and then giving multiple excuses as to why they couldn’t respond, around 11pm some one comes to oil the locks and said they’d be back in the morning to replace the lock that wasn’t working. It was so aggravating having to deal with that after driving for such a long time. Sheets didn’t fit the beds they came off constantly and was terribly annoying, the comforters were dirty at the top from where people with makeup had them up against there face, lights flickered and barely came on in the kitchen, ceiling fans didn’t work nor did the tv in the bedroom. The pool was not heated and I called weeks before we arrived to ask if the pool was heated but no one returned my call. There was dust and dirt every where and a film on all the counters and dirty cup rings on most all of the night stands. The couch and chair covers looked like they hadn’t ever been cleaned, It was a nightmare and we’ll never rent from this company again. CERTAINLY NOT WORTH THE THOUSANDS WE PAYED TO STAY THERE. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON’T RENT FROM THIS GROUP THEY DON’T VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS WHICH WAS EVIDENT TO US AND HAVING TO WAIT TILL LATE IN THE EVENING AND THEN THE NEXT MORNING TO GET A SE

Very cute home though. Not much to do unless you drink. You can’t even take a golf cart across the street to ocean you gave to take it down several blocks, cross over then come back. Directions and instructions for finding the key were very clear. Owner and management company were very responsive to all questions; she called ahead of time to let us know the washer was broken and would not have parts in time to be fixed during our stay; they provided plenty of towels and washcloths for 10 people for 8 days! Property was very clean, inviting, cozy and conveniently located to the beach, which was only about a 3-5 minute walk. Private pool with fridge, bathroom and outdoor shower located on the same level was a plus! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My extended family of 8 stayed at the Pink Zebra. We had a great time! The property was able to comfortably house us. The ocean was only a short walk across their main road. The pool and yard were well maintained. We were disappointed in the worn and dirty slip covers on the living room couch and chairs. The dining table chairs were also stained. On the flip side, the bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen were clean and well stocked. The cottage was very nicely decorated. We all enjoyed the property and agreed that we would stay again. Negatives were that at least one smoke alarm was partly missing and the living space above the garage didn’t seem to have a smoke alarm at all. The washer and dryer didn’t work properly and had to be fussed with to keep them running. Two of the three televisions weren’t able to access programming. A neighbor told us that the cottage is usually booked. Hopefully the property managers can do routine inspections to ensure the details mentioned are maintained between guests so all visitors can stay and enjoy property’s full potential.
