About this property

Secluded Cabins on Flathead Lake's East Shore

Welcome to Cherry Pines. Cherry Pines is located 13 miles south of Bigfork, and just 18 miles North of Polson, Montana on Flathead Lake's east shore. We book week-long minimum stays from Memorial Day thru Labor Day and have a 4 night minimum in the shoulder season.
The Lake Cabin and Montana Cabin sit on 15 acres with 450 feet of private shore. We have tried our best to outfit each with all the amenities of home. We reside on the property with our 2 children while maintaining the buildings, grounds, and orchard. We are there if needed, however respect our guests' privacy and keep a fair distance. Our hope is you are as comfortable at Cherry Pines as you are in your own home. Below is a description of the cabins and property.
The LAKE CABIN has a large patio with seating for 14 and a gas grill. Inside there is a kitchen, dining area, large living area, and 3 bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen bed. One bedroom has an adjoining bathroom while the other bathroom is shared. The upstairs bedroom also includes two twin beds.
The MONTANA CABIN sits about 75 yards from the Lake House and has a covered porch, living room, dining room, and full kitchen. The master bedroom has a king bed and adjoining bath. The second bedroom has a king bed and two twin beds. There is an additional full shared bath.
Both cabins have washer, dryer, satellite TV and wireless internet.
The property's shoreline is ideal for wading in the water with children, swimming, and rock collecting. Beach chairs and umbrellas make this a relaxing spot for shade seekers and page turners as well. Our dock provides ample room for sunning or casting a fishing line. We also have a mooring ball for your boat or rental boat. In addition there is a wood burning sauna at the water's edge, four stand up Paddleboards and a canoe.
In the evening enjoy stunning sunsets while playing horseshoes on the lawn, eating supper on the deck, relaxing in one of the hammocks or roasting marshmallows and sharing stories around the bonfire. Guests who stay with us in August can also enjoy eating fresh cherries from our orchard.
Whether it is views of the water or views of the mountains, Cherry Pines offers them in every direction.
We look forward to meeting you and your family and or friends. Please let us know if we can be of any help.

John & Becca

Perfect for a family reunion
12 of us gathered at the lake for a family reunion. Ages 5-80. We all had a fabulous time. The accommodations are superb, the two houses were perfect for our crowd. Everyone was comfortable beyond expectation. The houses are very well furnished and the kitchens had everything we needed - and more. The lake is fabulous and so beautiful. We are already talking about next year.

An unforgettable vacation
I am not sure I have the words to do this property justice. We were a party of 3 families (12 people) with kids ages 7-12 and we had an absolutely wonderful stay. The views are breathtaking and the property is a peaceful, secluded retreat on Flathead Lake and about an hour from the west entrance of Glacier. We spent the majority of our time in the Montana cabin which had everything we needed and is beautifully designed. We enjoyed the large kitchen island, the back porch overlooking Flathead Lake, and the wonderful craftsmanship of the entire home. We also appreciated that all of the bedrooms in the Lake cabin had air conditioning units for sleeping as we had some hot days. The adults and kids took full advantage of the dock, stand up paddle boards, the fire pit, AND the ability to pick our own cherries from the orchard as we were there during harvest. The owner was kind, available if we needed him, and super helpful. We had the best time and will be recommending this property to all of our friends of family. Thank you for the memories!

Family Reunion Perfection!
This is a huge, gorgeous, private, spacious property packed with thoughtful touches and great amenities. We loved having the two houses and the beautiful yards/decks that came with them. We loved the fire pit area, the hammocks, the dock with all the provisions (chairs, floats, paddle-boards) and the amazing lakeside Sauna experience. We could not have booked a more perfect place for our stay. Thank you John and Rebecca!

Why they chose this property

The 360 degree views, central location, privacy and orchards.

What makes this property unique

Two homes next to one another rather than one large home offer more dynamic and cozy settings. Two kitchens allow for easier meal preparation in large groups. More outdoor acreage feels like a country retreat. This stretch of lake has very little boat activity compared to other areas. A very serene setting. We are located right between Polson and Bigfork allowing for exploration of two different towns. Bigfork has the best dining options on the Lake, and a quaint feel. Polson is also charming while offering more chain store and big box options.
