Come enjoy our private community beach with one mile of shoreline, sandy beach and the Chesapeake Bay. Walk or drive to this hidden gem for fun in the sun.
This single level house is comfy and cozy with everything you need to relax and take in the fresh air. Breathtaking morning sunrises to start your day off and stroll the quiet beach to get your morning cardio in. Relax in the evening with a glass of wine, cozy fire pit and star gazing on a clear evening sky.

This relaxing cottage is very well stocked for your beach retreat includes a patio and deck with two grills, beach chairs, cooler, beach wagon, towels, toys, corn hole, umbrella, sun shade, hammock and more. We provide coffee for the 12 cup coffee maker, coffee filters, teas, cooking spices, oil, children's utensils and dishes, linens and toiletries to get you started on a fabulous vacay!

The local area has great hiking trails, wineries, breweries, antique shops and more! A great place to stay for work vacationers, small family or romantic getaway. St. Leonard is an hour south of Washington DC, Annapolis, Virginia and a few hours from PA. Enjoy the quiet beach and avoid the stress of Eastern Shore traffic! Come visit and check out the beautiful Chesapeake Bay. 1 mile of beach is hard to come by. Guests are to obey all posted beach rules and must display beach parking pass we provide.

The owner, Chris, is so welcoming and helpful. The cottage is very well stocked with beach items, toiletries, kitchen staples, games, etc. The house is very comfortable and well decorated. We loved the location and the community beach. Highly recommend!

Great location for exploring the area

Really enjoyed the home. Chris was easy to work with and the home was exactly as shown. Added bonus of it being stocked more than an average home with teas, coffee, spices, cooking supplies and toiletries. Quick waking distance to the beach and well located to explore Southern Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay region.

Cozy cottage

This was our second time staying. We absolutely love the area. It's perfect for a young family and not having the hustle and bustle of Ocean City. Kris is a wonderful host and gave us many recommendations of things to do in the area with kids. The Calvert Marine Museum has become one of our favorite things to explore.

Enjoy with or without the Sun

This property is charming, very well done. We enjoyed our time. Everything you need to cook a wonderful meal is available. Conveniently located to the store and beach. The owner don’t leave any stone unturned when it came to making sure all questions were answered either in the binder or little notes all around the house. She has worked hard to make this wonderful. We had a wonderful time.

Lovely property, great host

The house was spotlessly clean, very pretty and decorated in a sunny beachy style. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, and only a short walk (a block or so down the road and around the corner) to the community's private beaches. We found a dozen shark teeth while walking along the beach during our stay. It's also very convenient to shopping and visiting other sites in the area like Calvert Cliffs park, Solomons and Cove Point. The host was very responsive and even went out of her way to mail us a favorite old blanket we left behind on checkout. We were very pleased with our stay, had a lot of fun and highly recommend the property and our host!

Great family vacation

The property was private and relaxing well out of the way of hustle and bustle of the town. A community beach just down the street and other beaches near and a bit farther, some free some you have to pay to get into but both are very much worth it. We used the grill for dinner every night and although we didnt get to go south to solomon islands we stayed North and enjoyed calvert cliffs state park beach (its a hike to get there but gorgeous and so worth it), North Beach (a pay to get in beach but absolutely family oriented and well worth the fees), and we found a homemade ice cream shop, Mrs. Moo's, that did more than ice cream and was the best Ive ever had!!! The bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms were clean and the house was welcoming and wonderful!!! This maybe a back next year to see more type of place for our family!!! I enjoyed every moment watching our boys experience the ocean for the first time and I am glad we didnt do it at ocean city or Virginia beach, this was more personal some how, not packed like sardines on the sand or huge beaches qhere they could get lost. Small and intimate places where they could boogie board on the small waves and go out into the ocean with this helicopter mom being anxious!!!!!

Modest retreat in quiet beach community

We had a very relaxing stay at Chris' cozy cottage. It is a modest, clean home in a quiet residential community close to a nice community beach. We enjoyed meals and hanging out on the deck, which feels relatively private because it is elevated from the road, there is little traffic and the vegetation provides some cover. Access to the beaches is only a short walk or drive away and the beaches were not very crowded as they are only open to community members. The kitchen is slightly dated but well equipped and had all we needed. Chris is very helpful and quick to respond. We enjoyed the local farm stands, hiking in lovely natural areas, antiquing and the waterfront.

Gotta love hickory trees

Well to start off it is definitely a cozy cottage with 2 bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen ( of course minus the food) with a patio right outside of it. A large laundry room (with all the beach items) 1 bathroom, cozy living room with lots of TV programs options to watch. Loved being able to go outside on the deck in the mornings with my coffee, we were there in November so the hickory nuts are falling everywhere.. which is kinda loud on the metal roof.. but she had a box fan for us to use so we didn't hear them at night..All of the cute items in and out of the cottage are so adorable.. Chris is a very pleasant lady to work with..I would definitely like to rent this place again, when I could enjoy all the summer fun things she offers. Oh if you have small children she has a lot of toys and games that they would enjoy.

Best equipped rental home we've stayed in!

We had a wonderful stay. Chris has thought of everything to make the stay even more enjoyable; everything we needed for the beach was provided, even toys for our four year old. The beds were comfy and the house was clean. The kitchen was well-stocked too. We have stayed in lots of rental homes in many different countries and this one is now our favorite. We had fun looking for fossils at the beach and hope to make Chris' cottage a regular getaway for us.

Best beach in MD

We had a nice time and the property was well equipped. Management was communicative and helpful. The private beach was worth the price alone. The only drawback was a 90 dollar cleaning fee we were suprised by upon arrival. This is listed in the house rules but is not clearly stated. It is difficult to prove cash payment and I am not accustomed to paying hosts cash for anything beyond tipping.

I'm very much an outdoor person and enjoy kayaking, hiking, biking, rv-ing, beaching and spending time with family and friends. I lived in Hawaii for many years and loved the different islands, the culture and beauty. Now that I'm back on the East coast I'm loving the four seasons. Living along the Chesapeake Bay is a blessing and spending time here during each season is so much fun. The area is beautiful, peaceful, and the seafood from the Chesapeake Bay and Patuxent River is incredible.

Why they chose this property

This cute cedar cottage is cozy, comfortable and a short walk to the beach. The patio and deck are a nice way to listen to nature, enjoy fresh air, and cook on the two grills after a fun day at the beach. In the evening, fire up the chiminea fire pit and roast marsh mellows....how yummy,
The original hardwood floors really make the house so cozy, charming and rustic. The decor is very cool and calming. We've been told the beds are comfortable and provide a great nights sleep.
I want guest to have a relaxing stay and enjoy making new memories with family and friends. We provide quite a bit, so you can focus on all the fun things you want to do and spend less time packing.

Why stay in a hotel when you can have a clean, sanitized and disinfected comfy home away from home experience. An awesome waterfront community with one mile of sandy beach. Peaceful and quiet! Even the deer love it here; watch them walk through the yard. The deck and patio are a great outdoor space to enjoy morning coffee, afternoon beverage, or grill out with friends and family.
