Ursula was fantastic. She was very accessible I made 3-4 random calls to hear over the weekend and she picked up very time. She was also quick to respond on text.
Ursula was flexible regarding check in and responsive to our queries. She thoughtfully checked in with us to be sure all was well after an ice storm. We had no problems during our stay. Great location and lovely view of the lake.
My family loved our stay for our ski vacation to Okemo. This house was spacious and inviting and just 5 minutes from Okemo. We loved that it had a washer and dryer and a fireplace - especially since we arrived during an ice storm and arrived soaking wet after skiing that afternoon! The kitchen had everything we needed, having 2 1/2 baths made getting ready in the morning so much faster and easier, and we had plenty of space to spread out. We would definitely stay again on future ski trips!
It is indeed idyllic. Mostly very quiet, beautiful view from the deck. Well stocked kitchen. A bonus was the hummingbird feeder, which we filled and got rewarded with 3 regular visitors! A truly lovely spot!
My granddaughter, husband and infant daughter stayed in the cottage. They like it very much, and we would like to rent it for the same time period in 2026.
Lakehouse with a soul. Quiet and quaint with plenty of space for a large family. Lots of activities to do: swimming in the pristine lake, kayaking, campfires, hanging out on the deck with a view on the lake. Very close to a sugarhouse for all your maple creemee needs - you can even kayak up to there! House is well stocked with any necessities: coffee, spices, even condiments and toiletries. Beds and pillows are nice and comfy! We will definitely be coming back!
This was a great rental for our family. Lots to do nearby but the lake is where we spent most of our time - paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. The swimming from the dock was not ideal but when we hopped on our paddle board it was very nice to swim in the central part the lake. Creemees at the sugar house were very good; also really enjoyed buttermilk falls and okemo.
The house was very well equipped, enough kitchen supplies, firepit, kayaks, ping pong. We enjoyed the quiet location on the lake. The only negative is that the house needs a deep clean. The windows are filthy and there are webs on the ceiling. But the essentials were clean.

The windows got cleaned early summer but obviously got dirty again over the summer, ready for a fall cleaning. (Filthy is a little strong,)
The spiderwebs the cleaning lady should have taken care of. (Will tell her). Thanks for the notice..

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house. We had great views of the lake and the kitchen was very well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean and nicely decorated. Thank you for the incredible stay and we will be staying again!
We had a great time. The house is very comfortable, but dated. We had a wonderful time in the water. However, the area directly in front of the property was so filled with leaves and muck, it was hard to enjoy it, until you were further out in the water. For this reason, i would not recommend it for young children.
Enjoyed our stay. 5 minute drive to Jackson gore base made it nice to go back and forth with kids. Ursula was very attentive and did her best to make sure everything was in good order.
All that we needed and wanted was at this location! Comfortable, warm, cozy and well stocked. Close to skiing, hiking, restaurants and more. Lots of windows with a view of a lake. What more could we ask for? We felt right at home…

About the host
Hosted by Ursula Middel
I love skiing, biking, hiking and water sports. I live in Long Island, where I do boating and biking in the summer. I grew up in Germany but have been in the States for many years.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the quiet spot on the lake, where I can look out on the water.from the dining room, living room, kitchen and even the shower and enjoy the ever changing scenery.
What makes this property unique
The location is great in all season, and the house is very comfortable even when occupied by a lot of people. In the winter period we have had at times 10 people in the house (mostly ski instructors) and yet it works well with the kitchen etc.
Special amenities: Whirl tub, two tables for eating, two refrigerators, 2 coffee makers, deck, dock, backyard large enough to play ball; (don't worry about the ball, you can fish it out of the lake, the shore is shallow). Downstairs play area has ping-pong table, games, chairs, refrigerator and extra bathroom.
WINTER: There are 5 to six parking places next to the house, but in winter conditions, if you do not have a four wheel drive, leave your car in the parking space next to the road on top of the fence as a precaution. We have a local contractor to plow and sand, but conditions change and the little road (Denardis Rd.) that goes down to the lake from Rt. 100 is very steep.
SUMMER: We put in a modern dock for launching the boats and recently added a boat rack. Our deck has a beautiful view of the lake, equipped with two benches, outdoor table with umbrella, plenty of chairs, BBQ and electric grill.. There is a fire pit at the lake where you can roast marshmallows in the evening.
If you have an electric car you can charge it in the driveway. We have a convenient outside plug at the house. (Low fee, honor system.)
