Escape to “Southern Wind,” a well-maintained Oceanside multi-story home and enjoy views from sunrise to sunset in beautiful Avon, NC.

On the ground level, you’ll find concrete parking under the carport, access to your private in-ground pool and patio area, a new hot tub, outdoor shower, and fish-cleaning station. Enjoy a picnic using either the charcoal or Weber gas grill. Within short walking distance to shops, restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, and the popular Avon Fishing Pier.

On your way upstairs, stop on the first level to play a round of foosball in the small, furnished game room. Continue up to the second level and you’ll find three spacious bedrooms. The master includes 1 queen, flat screen TV, and full private bath with tub/shower. Bedroom 2 includes 1 queen, flat screen TV, and close proximity to full hall bath. Bedroom 3 has a set of twin bunks plus 1 single bed. Conveniently located new full sized washer and dryer make laundry a breeze. Walk out to your spacious screened-in deck and enjoy gorgeous sunsets over the Pamlico sound

On the top floor you’ll find a great room with high ceilings, comfortable entertaining areas around the large flat screen TV, DVD, and stereo, and a large combined kitchen and dining area, anchored with a spacious breakfast island. Grab a cup of coffee and walk out to the Oceanside deck for stunning sunrises.

From sunrise to sunset, Southern Wind is sure to be your home away from home during your island getaway.

This place was amazing. The screened in porch was a great place to gather and socialize. The pool and hot tub were clean and were cleaned again mid week. The kitchen had all the items I needed to cook some nice family meals and the kitchen table was big enough for all of us. The memories we made there were priceless. Our family enjoyed this property for its proximity to the beach, its cleanliness and spacious layout. Very comfortable beds too! And close to shops, restaurants and the grocery store. Absolutely loved the house. House was well stocked and a very short walk to the beach. Matt was very helpful and very responsive. Wasn't able to get to the house our first night because of hurricane Erin after affects but turned out to be an amazing week and adventure for our 10th wedding anniversary.

Great place for a family vacation

This place was wonderful to stay at for a week long family vacation. We had plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. Location was easy to find but it is on the main road. We would stay here again.

Great week, great weather!

The property is located right off highway 12, which makes it easy to walk to many places right alongside the highway. The walk to the beach is down a deathend road with no traffic. This makes an easy walk with 2 young children! The weather was perfect! No rain and all sun!!!! It was a hot week, but coming from Pittsburgh weather, this was paradise to us!

We had a wonderful stay at this house! It is kept up well and very clean inside. Lots of little touches to make it comfortable during your stay. The pool and hot tub are maintained nicely and kept as clean as possible. We did have to call in maintenance to help clean up the pool because we had high winds during our stay that put debris in it and I want to note that they were excellent, friendly and prompt. The home owner is also very easy to contact and responds very quickly and is very kind and helpful. The walk to the beach is very easy and the beach wasn't over crowded where you access it. Altogether a very nice stay! Thank you for sharing your home with vacationers!

Vacation at Southern Winds

Super easy reservation and check-in process. My family and I had a great time using the pool, hot tub and grill. The rooms were cozy and provided extra linens and towels for the stay.
