FOLLOW DRIVING DIRECTIONS GIVEN BY THE OFFICE!!!The layout of this cabin is perfect! Lots of space! Kids had plenty to keep them occupied. Air hockey, foose ball, pool table, and Pac-Man. The deck is huge with unblocked view of the mountains. Plenty of parking space for our three cars.We are from Flat Louisiana so our first attempt up to the cabin was a a little nerve wracking since we wasn’t sure what to expect but after that we got use to it.
The property is in a very quiet and beautiful location. We quickly learned there is a "hard" way up (Manis Road) - it was scary. Once we learned the "easier" route it was less nerve racking to leave the cabin. We did have one hiccup on the first morning there. We woke up to notice mice were on the counter and ate through some food. There were mouse droppings on the counter. The drawer under the oven was also covered in mice droppings - it was all over the dishes in there. That was unfortunate. We avoided using those dishes. Downstairs was a fan favorite for our kids.
We hope to get to come back to Lodge next year. Lots of room in the cabin to play games, sleep, or watch a game on TV or a movie. Wow ! what a view of the whole valley. Access to a big outdoor pool was a big hit for our family. Little high on price for us but it is a big cabin.
This cabin was perfect for me and the kids and grandkids to stay a long weekend. Plenty for the kids to do, lots of room & space for everyone! Cabin was clean. Road to the cabin is very curvy and steep but views are amazing! We would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time at this beautiful cabin. The place is cozy and the cathedral ceiling overlooking the woods adds the most perfect charm. The christmas decoration were very cute. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans. I would definitely like to be back!
Wow the road the gps sent us on was narrow. There is a better, wider road FYI. The cabin was beautiful and the view stunning. We're already talking about going back.
It was an amazing house with so much room. Definitely great for a family reunion! There’s with everything you need in the way of dishes, pots & pans & appliances. Loved the hot tub, amazing views including a mama bear with her cubs & there was a lot of outside & inside seating to accommodate the 11 of us.
We had an issue with the fridge & the mgmt was ‘on it’. They gave us a loaner that afternoon & later replaced it when the new fridge was available.
The pool is not on the property. It’s a public pool about 4 miles away along with a fishing pond, that as a renter of the house you can access to.
Perhaps the best view we’ve ever had. We enjoyed our stay very much. 3 king bedrooms and a room with 2 queens, each with its own bath, plus a half bath were just what we needed. We enjoyed the porches, the basement with several games, the hot tub. We were able to cook and have many meals around the large dining table with plenty of chairs, Believe the bear caution. We left 3 empty coolers on the deck and each had tooth and claw marks on them.Take Fireside’s advice and use the Line Springs road entrance to the area. We tried using the GPS directions, leaving Wears Valley Rd at Manis Rd. It has several VERY sharp turns and is hard to drive. Fireside people were great to work with. We had a wonderful time in this cabin.
The kitchen was very well stocked and easily allowed cooking Thanksgiving meal for eleven. The space was comfortable, and allowed different activities in different parts of the house. The views are amazing, and YES, we did have a visit from a bear!
Great place!! Got to see a bear on the deck and around the cabin and it was wonderful experience!! Only thing was there wasn’t much service for internet and I’m being charged for a broken rocking chair that was on the ground over the deck when we arrived there!!The chair was there when we got there and I wasn’t able to call them to let them know about it. But that should have been seen before we arrived there by whoever checks the place out!!
The only issue we had was the hot tub didn’t have any lights and it was very dark in the corner. With bears in the area it was a little scary. We had seen a bear earlier. And the tub did not get that hot either. But the rest of the stay was nice. The road is very narrow and you go up sharp in a few areas.
We loved this cabin. The space, cleanliness, and contents were perfect for our group and the view was amazing. The road to the cabin itself was scary. It is a zig-zag road and high into the mountain. We did pray every day that we would not meet another vehicle in our path while driving the road. It did allow us to have a breath taking view. The staff with Fireside Chalet's were very friendly and our check in and check out was very smooth. I will use them again for my next trip to this area. We were very happy with our experience.

We absolutely loved the cabin and it was perfect for our family. My very elderly parents enjoyed the handicap room and our son and his family had the entire downstairs. The decks offer spectacular views and the hot tub was great for the grandkids. We had a couple issues, our shower was not cleaned properly and the grill had no propane but overall that wasn't a game changer. We do plan to rent again. Be sure when completing their rental paperwork that you have a computer guru to get through, let's just say it was very frustrating.

Expect more than this
Home was not clean , really dusty . All 3 games (fuse-ball, billiard, air-hockey) was broken . Hot tub was stink so bad , no one can even be next to it after we open cover . My son have big wound on foot after hitting sticking out nail on balcony .Spindles on railing was falling apart, small children can easily fall thru hole . I expect a lot more . Good home but poor management. Great view :)
We rented this house for 11 people. Only 2 under the age of 18 (15 & 11). It fit all of us perfectly. View is to die for. Speaking of that we had a bear wander on the deck while several of us were sitting out there. Owner should put a gate up to help in safety. We slide a table and chairs by the opening for the duration of our stay so we would get a warning if our furry friend came back. The ride up the mountain the manager suggested was sketchy to say the least. There is a back way in from Line Springs Rd. Much easier. Would definitely stay again but this time longer.
