Lake Annecy 2024

A wonderful week spent in a beautiful part of the world. The accommodation was in a great location for the lake, heading into the mountains and for visiting Annecy. Nothing was too much trouble and were made to feel very much at home. Our young boys loved the outdoor space and nearby play area.

We really enjoyed staying in the apartment. We were a family of three with a 5 year old. It had everything needed for self catering holiday The owner was friendly and helpful It was great watching the para-gliders flying over to land in the evening (dozens of them!) The apartment is well located to access the mountains, the lake, the local town of Menthon and Talloires and also Annecy. The fully enclosed garden was perfect for our 5 year old to play in in the evenings while we cooked on the BBQ! I would stay here again

Language barrier

Our stay was fine, but I suspect the owner hadn’t rented to many Americans before. Hopefully, she’ll get the information packet translated into English. She answered all of my questions and brought us a fan when I asked for fans (it was incredibly hot). I tried to cook pasta one night and couldn’t get the stove top to work, which was annoying. This is where having info in English would have helped.

Superbe séjour chez Isabelle qui a été aux petits soins pour nous et très réactive à toute question.L’appartement est tel que décrit avec toutes les facilités et avec tout l’équipement nécessaire. Machine à café senseo, lave vaisselle, machine à laver, wifi, beau jardin clôturé ou notre chien a pu gambader en toute liberté. Situé dans un quartier tranquille proche de la voie verte et avec de nombreuses balades à proximité immédiate. Merci Isabelle aussi pour l’adorable attention à notre arrivée avec bouteille d’eau et excellent rosé mis au frais. Je recommande à 1000%

Nous étions ravis. L'appartement est très agréable, avec tout ce que l'on attend de fonctionnel dans une location : une cuisine richement dotée, de bonnes literies, une déco sympathique. Le jardin est un grand plus et les 2 terrasses permettent d'en profiter à toute heure. L'environnement est calme. Bref, un sans faute ou presque : le seul bémol est le parking qui est une place libre dans la résidence, et quand on rentre tard le soir c'est souvent complet et se garer à l'extérieur n'est pas aisé. Mais cela doit être le cas surtout en haute saison. Nous reviendrons volontiers!

A pleasant stay - spacious property and good location

We spent a very pleasant week here. The property is spacious and well maintained, with a good sized lounge and a lovely garden for eating out and barbecues. The kitchen has everything you need and the location is quiet and relaxing. Talloires is lovely, with a small beach and restaurants, and it’s only a short drive into Annecy. There’s so much to see and do in the area - swimming, cycling, canyoning, paragliding, - and places like Chamonix and Geneva are easy day trips. Overall it was a great place and we could certainly go again.

L'appartement est très agréable et le jardin avec sa belle terrasse un très bel atout.Vous ne manquerez de rien pour faire la cuisine et profiter du jardin. Idéalement situé pour découvrir la région qui regorge de merveilles. A seulement 10 km du col de la forclaz pour faire un bapteme de parapente, à 25 min d'Annecy pour découvrir la vieille ville, de magnifiques randonnées à proximité, les plages de Menthon ou de talloire pour profiter du lac... Une perle à recommander sans réserve.

Nice apartment with lovely garden near the Lake

Isabelle was very helpful and friendly throughout. The apartment is exactly as described and shown in the photos in a quiet spot. The garden is lovely with views of the surrounding mountains and handy for watching the air balloons take off early morning and the paragliders that land nearby. Lots of outdoor seating. Kids enjoyed the lake beach at Menthon-Saint-Bernard which is a short drive or bike ride. Very enjoyable stay.

A great holiday! - De bonnes vacances!

We had a very enjoyable two weeks in this lovely apartment. We had a very friendly welcome from Isabelle and her son who gave us a good introduction to the apartment and the area. The apartment was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with two outside eating/sitting areas with table and chairs in each. The private, corner garden has a number of loungers that can be moved to follow the sun. The views from the garden were stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the parapenters descend from surrounding hills (- something that you could try if you are brave enough). It is also a great cycling area (cycle hire available). It is located in between Talloires and Menthon Saint Bernard, both of which are within walking distance (-the walk back from Talloires is up a steep hill!). We enjoyed a number of walks both from the apartment and via water taxi. The towns around the lake are all worth a visit. There are small supermarkets and boulangeries in both Talloires and Menthon Saint Bernard and large hypermarket in Annecy with cheaper petrol (Carrefour). We can highly recommend both the apartment and the area. Nous avons passé deux semaines très agréables dans ce bel appartement. Nous avons eu un accueil très amical de la part d'Isabelle et de son fils qui nous ont fait une bonne introduction à l'appartement et à la région. L'appartement était propre, confortable et très bien équipé avec deux espaces de restauration en plein air avec une table et des chaises. Dans le jardin privé il y a plusieurs chaises longues qui peuvent être déplacées pour suivre le soleil. Les vues depuis le jardin étaient à couper le souffle et nous avons vraiment apprécié de regarder les parapentres descendre des collines environnantes (quelque chose que vous pourriez essayer si vous êtes assez courageux). C'est aussi une excellente zone cyclable (location de vélo disponible). Il est situé entre Talloires et Menthon Saint-Bernard, tous deux accessibles à pied (le trajet de retour de Talloires est une colline escarpée!). Nous avons profité d'un certain nombre de promenades à la fois depuis l'appartement et en bateau-taxi. Les villes autour du lac valent toutes une visite. Il y a des petits supermarchés et des boulangeries à Talloires et à Menthon Saint Bernard et un grand hypermarché à Annecy avec de l'essence moins chère (Carrefour). Nous pouvons fortement recommander l'appartement et la région.

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cet appartement conforme aux photos. Nous avons disposé de tout le confort et avons apprécié la terrasse qui donne sur la montagne, point d'envol des parapentes . Lieu idéal pour les vacances, en retrait de la foule mais très proche de la jolie commune de Talloires, du col de la Forclaz et d'Annecy. Notre hôtesse a été charmante et disponible. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Isabelle. Nous avons passé 4 jours à Talloires avec nos 3 enfants de 4 ans 2,5 ans et 3 mois. Tout était parfait. Les photos sont conformes à la réalité. Il n’y a rien à redire! L’appartement est placé idéalement pour découvrir facilement Annecy et ses environs et le jardin permet de contempler les parapentes toute la journée qui s´elancent depuis les sommets! Isabelle est une personne très sympathique et très compréhensive ! Courrez-y les yeux fermés , vous ne serez pas déçus!

3 SEMAINES dans un cadre enchanteur à 13 km d 'ANNECY. Un appartement donnant sur un grand jardin privatif au calme parmi les oiseaux . Peu de km pour rejoindre tous les beaux paysages de la région : les nombreux cols et leurs alpages pour se retrouver au frais lors de la canicule et se promener, suivant sa force. Appartement de qualité : ameublement, literie et accessoires de qualité, beaucoup de vaisselle et de linge. On se sent comme chez soi. Isabelle est une hôtesse d'une grande gentillesse et d'une grande prévenance. Un lieu à privilégier : nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.
