Needs improvement
We drove in from La Fortuna and had to meet up with the property managers to get the keys. They were 30 minutes late and we had no cell service to communicate with them. We followed them to the property which was over 10 minutes away from the security entrance. Once at the property they rambled on for about 30 minutes about every irrelevant detail including how to find the trash dump on the huge property. I asked for a map of the property but apparently one doesn't exist because they don't want locals to get their hands on such valuable information. He kept emphasizing security and keeping the doors locked,
they even installed a wood rod as a backup lock on every window and door. There wasn't any laundry soap or dishwasher soap. We ran out of toilet paper with a day to go so we ended up having to buy items for the house. The kitchen and bedroom furniture is worn out and some parts don't slide open properly. The pool is much smaller than we thought it was from the pictures.
On the morning we were leaving for the airport they messaged me to meet up and get the keys. I let them know what time we were leaving, this time they were 15 minutes late. We drove drove for 30 minutes trying to dump our trash in the green armadillo that they told us was impossible not to find with no luck. 30 minutes after we leave I get notification from VRBO that they charged us $20 because there were 3 bags of trash in the house when we checked out. We paid almost $2000 to stay here and you're going to be that petty?
Definitely need to get a lock box and and adequate map of the property for guests.
Be respectful of guests valuable time.
Fix the parts of the house that are falling apart.
Ensure there are adequate supplies for the guests.
Don't be petty.
