This riverfront property is the perfect place for your getaway. Whether you are looking for fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing/kayaking, shooting or simply hoping for an escape to nature and a break from the ordinary, this is the place for you.

The cabin sits on a beautiful stretch of the Arkansas river with a mile of shoreline and 130 acres of secluded, quiet land. There is plenty of space to explore, hunt, fish, play in the water, or take a multiple mile float or boat trip down the river. There are 3 RV hookups for those with extra folks and stuff to bring along.

The house is very nicely appointed and a wonderful perch to overlook the river or spend hours of family time inside. A perfect place to unplug and unwind. And also, for those who still would like to stay connected, there is wifi connectivity available.

The cabin and property is set up for big events and group activities but also great for just a few folks to get away for a bit. The whole place and setting is simply beautiful. It is just awesome!

River Hideaway

Remote and peaceful, this cabin on the banks of the Arkansas River offer a needed respite from hectic life. With 80 acres to explore, it provides an opportunity to get lost in the wilderness. The property owner is extremely communicative and responsive. You will enjoy your stay!

Lovely Place to Stay

We stayed at this lovely cabin during a stay visiting family in the area. The setting was very lovely with a riverside view but also wildlife like deer, turkey and many birds. The cabin is very unique and comfortable with all the comforts. Our communication before, during and after was timely and easy. Many thanks for sharing this lovely property for our vacation rental. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

Riverfront Fun!

Our family completely enjoyed our stay. We often vacation to the outdoors, and this location did not disappoint. We have rafted the Snake River in Wyoming and climbed 14teeners in Colorado, and this was a great getaway for me and my family in my home state. We will return...The Robinsons

Perfect Get-a-way

Great space! Perfect place to unplug and get away for a few days. We have 5 kids that have varying interest, and all of them really enjoyed this place. The kitchen is great for large families like ours, and we really enjoyed being able to all gather and eat, which is rare in a vacation place! The living room provides a great space to relax, we hung out, played some games, and greatly enjoyed the fire place. The boys explored the property, we utilized the shooting range and had a fire in the fire pit in the late afternoons/early evening. 10/10 would stay here again!

Fun, relaxing and peaceful

This was a great find for our family to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The cabin was great and exceeded expectations from the listing. It was also stocked with everything you needed for cooking family meals. We enjoyed playing horseshoes, volleyball and kayaking down the small rapids right next to the property. We spent a lot of time on the river islands relaxing and exploring. The dogs were in heaven with that much space to run. We also drove our RV to the property and had no issues with the roads or gates on the property. We would love to come back in the summer when all the foliage is on the trees.

Bachelor party

Had another VRBO that was canceled last minute due to other host selling property, boy am I glad that they did! This place is awesome! Plenty of space for 9 grown men to sleep and stay entertained. The on site gun range was a blast! We kayaked the river, did some exploring, hung out by the fire with the river in the background. Couldn’t have asked for a better time. The gentleman who I Was in contact with was quick to reply to questions and very accommodating. We can’t wait to bring out our spouses to this place in the future!

This is a fabulous and unique property. Very private with amazing river frontage and room to explore. The property manager was great and everything was as promised. Really cool use of local sawmill wood throughout cabin including the furniture, cabinetry, staircase, etc. Horseshoes, fire pit, and even a real frisbee golf course. Also this place had RV hookups so you could host a large group here. We loved our stay and would definitely return here for another trip.

Great spot to getaway

This was a nice spot to be out there and take in nature. Not luxurious but nice accommodations. Property manager was great to communicate. Range was awesome. Not too far to get to what you need - many options about 20 away from the house.

Arkansas River Hideaway

Another great stay. Nature trails, fishing, wildlife, mountain bikes, plenty of room to explore. Quiet and relaxing, a great getaway with fantastic views and direct access to Arkansas River. Inside is comfortable and everything you need. We’ll be back.

Kansas Duck Hunt

Beautiful setting, great communication with host. Ducks were scarce but that isn’t controllable. Still had a great time relaxing beside of river, listening to small rapids. Perfect. Plan on booking again next year.

Girls Getaway Weekend

We had a group of 6 women for a weekend of relaxation. Awesome house, beautiful surroundings outside to enjoy Mother Nature. The cabin had everything we could ever need. We used the kayaks and paddle board, firepit, and shooting range. Stocked kitchen, comfy beds, clean bathrooms. No one bothered us, total privacy. We had the best time!

We love the outdoors and the opportunity to get close to nature. We are a family of 5 from Wichita and believe we have found a very unique property in the heart of Kansas. It is truly secluded yet provides all kinds of opportunities for fun. Front porch and picture window overlooks a beautiful bend of the Arkansas River. RV hookups are also available.

Why they chose this property

Just 30 minutes South of Wichita, we find it hard to believe we are still in Kansas when we arrive at the cabin. So close to the beautiful Arkansas River and on a quiet 130 acres, completely surrounded by nature.

What makes this property unique

This is one of the best stretches of river anywhere in Kansas for float or kayak/canoe trips. Great fishing too. There are several great options for a nice trip down the river. 1. The launch site on highway 55 between Udall and Bel Plaine is a great place to drop in for a 3 to 4 hour trip to the cabin. 2. Launching at the cabin gives you a 2 to 3 hour trip South to the Oxford boat ramp. Both of these options are great. And for the adventurous, a 5 to 6 hour trip from highway 55 to Oxford is doable as well.

We have found that launching at highway 55 is great because the end point is the cabin. What a great spot to finish and then have a snack or meal and talk about the fun of the trip down the river.
