Nice cottage with a Great View, the place was very well kept and had all the necessary furnishings. The cottage is nestled between two other cottages which does not allow for much privacy, but the neighbors were friendly and helpful. Great for older couples.
The cabin was just the right size, and the view of the lake was Wonderful! Great central location to visit surrounding areas like Petoskey, Cheboygan, Mackinaw or Indian River!!
Very friendly neighbors. Host was excellent in returning calls/texts. Nice, clean well stocked cottage. Furniture and one mattress needs to be updated. The lake is shallow and clear, and the grounds are maintained.
What a wonderful week on a lake that never disappoints. Excellent, clean, and comfortable lodgings with easy access to all of the sights and sounds of the northern lower peninsula. Highly recommended!

Thanks so much, I’m glad you had a great time! Hope to have you back on your next visit north!
We were in town to visit family & had a memorial lunch for my father in law.
We were able to rent this house for 3 days and very thankful as most places require a week stay. Jeni was very accommodating and always available when we needed anything. The house was great & right on the water. Very nice beach & community.
Had a great time. Well appointed. Needs to be updated but in good repair. It belongs to a homeowners association and they are very particular about the public space between the property and the lake. Otherwise, good location.
Nice location. Well stocked with many unexpected supplies. Games, books, movies, bikes, kayak.
Home was adequate in size for us and great location on the lake.
Had a very strong wind the last night and two of the windows blew open in the middle of the night. Scary and chilly moments.
Very beautiful setting. Really loved looking at lake. Neighbors were very friendly . Furniture really needs to be replaced. Very outdated. Need to focus on better cleanliness especially with covid going on. All in all enjoyed our stay.

We are very sorry you were unhappy with the furniture. We are in the process of fixing and updating. We recently purchased the cottage. Last off season we put in new plumbing to make the cottage four season and a new bathroom. We do have plans to replace some of the furniture and add washer and dryer, possibly a second bathroom. Please be patient we are working on it, I think our pictures are up to date and accurate. Hope you will come back to see improvements next time.

Cute cottage
The cottage was nice. I was told it was unlocked and keys would be on the table but none were found. I sent two messages to the property manager but never got a Rey. We had a nice time. The kitchen was well stocked and the property has a kayak and bikes to use which was fun. The neighbor kept an eye on us!! Lol I would stay here again.

Great location and view, cute little cabin
Although the weather didn't cooperate for our stay, the cottage was really nice and comfortable. Only 2 bedrooms, but we knew that going in. Very clean and tidy, and obviously the owners are pretty meticulous. The view is really nice for sunsets, the beach is actually sandy, and the location is right in the center of lots to do in northern michigan. Not a ton of room to park so keep that in mind. If you had a boat or other trailer you would have to ask where you could put it. Happy with the stay and the value. We look forward to staying again!

Thank you for your kind review Brad. We're so glad you had a great time. You were real troopers during the temporary power outage during the storm. We look forward to having you back on your next visit.
If you bring a boat or trailer, feel free to park them in our driveway across the road with the pole barn.
Great view of the water. Cottage has all that you need to eat and sleep well. It’s a semicircle of 18 cottages facing Bert lake with a large grassy area leading to the water. Year round neighbors very friendly. Birds of all kinds everywhere.
The only drawback was the gas’s grill. No lava rocks and some parts need replacement. It worked fine but could have been better.
All in all a fantastic experience on Bert lake.

Thank you so much for the kind review. It’s been a long summer with lots of guests. We will be looking at the grill and other things around the cottage that need some attention. Thank you for letting us know. We hope to have you back on your next visit to Burt Lake.
This location was nested in a small community directly on the water with a beach. The check in and out was very easy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was completely stocked. The property and surrounding properties were clean and nicely maintained. The air conditioner however wasn't as powerful as it needed to be for the whole place. They provided fans but we did bring an extra one. I personally was comfortable but I get cold easier than the rest of my family. Overall I would say they were not to uncomfortable but the weather was a bit cooler than usual the first part of the stay. Thank you for letting us stay and we would definitely go back.
We had a great time at this property! I gave the neighborhood 4-stars, only because there is not a ton of privacy. You are very close to neighbors and the property is located in an association with 10+ other cottages. However, the neighbors on each side are very nice and helpful! The beach is sandy with some rocks (would suggest bringing water shoes), but once you get about 20 feet into the water it gets sandy (no muck)! The beach is fairly far from the cabin, which is perfect if you have little kiddos, as it will take them more than a few seconds to get to the water. There is also a large grassy area, with so much room for activities. We watched many Beautiful sunsets over the lake. The cabin is close to Indian River and we also went to Mackinac Island, Petoskey, Harbor Springs and the Ocqueoc Falls all within 1- 1.5 hours.
The cabin was clean and actually is more spacious than the pictures let on, so we were pleasantly surprised. Bathroom is newly updated as well. We had 4 adults and one 3 year old and we had enough room for all of us.
Overall, we had a great week! I would recommend this cabin and I would stay again!

Thank you so much Elyse, we are so glad that you enjoyed the cottage. We also find many things to do while we are here. And sometimes we just stay home with the neighbors, they are very nice people. We hope to have you back again on your next vacation. We will keep adding to the cottage as we go! Plans are already in the works for next year! Thanks again and we hope to see you soon!
The cabin was perfect for our family vacation to northern Michigan. The location was great - we went on a few day trips and came back in the evenings to play whiffle ball or frisbee in the yard, or just sit on the deck and enjoy the view of Burt Lake. We had a wonderful time and the cabin had everything we needed to feel right at home.
The property was clean and well equipped. Great view right on the water both from inside and on the lovely deck. I used the larger bike of the two provided and the 2-person kayak which was great on the water, a little heavy for me to handle on land. The property is well located for travel in the area. Neighbors were helpful and lovely. Thanks so much. It was a lovely experience.
