Best for group of friends or family. Need a car as many sites and necessities are not in walking distance. easy access for a day trip to Santa Fe and to Sandia Pueblo (5 miles) for Casio, Golf and SPA.
We enjoyed this property for various reasons. The back yard being top on the list, plus location, comfort, plenty of space and everything we needed for a Mother's Day backyard grill out!
We stayed a couple nights at the end of May 2023. The property was easy to find, close to all the things we wanted to do and clean and quiet. The hot tub was big enough to fit everyone easily. The house layout was great. The main bedroom was quite large and the other bedrooms for the kids were off on their own hallway. House had everything we needed for a great stay.
I had some old friends fly in to play three days of golf. The rental was perfect for what we did. Neighbors were all nice, neighborhood was nice and quiet. Everyone really enjoyed the stay and already planning to do same ting next year.
This is s great property with plenty of room for family. However the two tv’s were too small for the space. Also it would be nice to have extra chairs at kitchen table (only four). Some tlc is needed in bathroom, but not an excuse to not stay here! This property is awesome, a gem! Owner is beyond friendly and courteous. Helped us with heater. Would love to stay hear again next time in Albuquerque!

This is a house with great bones, but it wasn't very clean and is not in particularly good repair. Every door knob, light switch, or cabinet knob was sticky. Nice big, shaded outdoor area, but all outdoor furniture filthy, and terrible road noise from road right behind house. Door knobs are old and hard to lock/open. No instructions at house of any kind - would be nice to have them for tv and hot tub especially. Not generously outfitted with towels or other essentials: we had 4 hot tub towels for 6 guests, and only four hand towels. No extra kitchen towels. No kleenex in one of the bathrooms. Host did respond to requests, but he didn't let us know he got the request, so we weren't sure he was on it.
Nice enough house but ineffectual property management
Was there for three nights for a family wedding. Arrived on Friday and the house was hot so we turned on the A/C. After an hour and a half of the A/C turned on the house was actually hotter! So the A/C was not working. Messaged the property manager (In the VRBO app). Didn't get a response for long while, so I called the number. Was told it was too late on Friday to get someone over there but would try for the weekend. No one ever showed up. The A/C never worked all weekend.
Tried the hot tub one evening but the temperature was so low we had to get out. The control was set on "econ", so it wouldn't heat up. Messaged the property manger in the app again about how to take the control off economy so the temperature would go up, but never heard back. So we didn't use it again. It was too cold for us. Never got above 98.
Instructions said to only use plastic glasses at the hot tub, but the house had zero plastic glasses. We had to use plastic measuring cups to drink out of!
One last weird thing...the way the house is set up three bedrooms share one bathroom. That bathroom had only two small towel hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang towels on. We had 6 adults who showered and used hot tub towels and there was nowhere for us all to hang out towels to dry. We had towels draped all over our rooms, which also did not have enough hooks for the towels to dry.
We are 7, 2 brothers..cousins...spouses...we all met here to have a family reunion.
The home accommodation fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor space.
Very relaxing.
We really loved this property! The backyard and patio were great. The hummingbirds and lizards were so fun to watch! Communication with the owner was great and they were super responsive!
This house just has a very nice feel to it. My 2 adult children, my husband and myself stayed while in town for my parents' 50th anniversary celebration. We had to contact the owner the night we arrived for something minor, and he came over within 10 minutes and had the issue resolved. We walked around the neighborhood and were greeted by very friendly neighbors, and had a hard time saying goodbye to this lovely home when it was time to check out.
Things the house needs to supply:
- not enough soap in bathrooms
- only one hair dryer (should be one in each bathroom)
-TV in master did not work
- only one dish towel in kitchen
- missing some "essentials" in kitchen such as:
soup ladle
working can opener
rubber spatulas
new frying pans (only one and it had a broken handle)
the dishwasher top rack is falling apart and needs repair
the oven was very dirty
the outdoor grill was filthy and unusable
some pillow cases were stained (possibly blood spots)
a sink "stopper" was missing in the master bathroom
no games for children or adults to play
I hope this list of items can be provided to the owner so they can make some updates and improvements.
This VRBO was not up to the standard of other VRBO homes we have rented in the past.
Thank you.
Quiet neighborhood, close to foothills hiking; perfect for family gathering.
Enjoyed stargazing in the hot tub and warming up around the outdoor fire pit (we visited in February). Private, landscaped backyard is probably even more beautiful in the warmer seasons when the roses are in bloom. Indoors, the flooring has been updated to a wood laminate (pictures show carpeting). The living areas were comfortable, and the book shelf was a real bonus, from "60 foothills hikes" to "1000 places to see in a lifetime" to helpful local info. Kitchen well equipped, two dining areas allow serving a few or a crowd. A couple of minor maintenance issues received immediate response from the host. Overall, recommend this spot, and hope we get a chance to return!
We absolutely loved this home, so many amazing features and we love the southwest style. The home was decorated tastefully but I will say the home needs some extreme care and maintenance. It’s in severe need of paint throughout the home, the walls and doors are extremely dirty, doorknobs to the exterior are difficult to open and lock, chipped paint throughout, cobwebs and dust bunnies all over the home (stuck to the walls). It is a Four bedroom home, but we failed to use one of the rooms because the bedding on the bed was stained, the sheets had blood on them, that nobody wanted to sleep there. I don’t believe the sheets and towels were washed, they smelled dirty. I had to re-wash sheets and towels before using them. There was black mold in the shower (shower door) and orange slime on the floor. I was in total disbelief of the cleanliness.
We have stayed in many rental properties over the years, and I have to say that this particular property was the least clean and most rundown that we have experienced. I actually really loved the house and the beautiful back patio although the propane fire table only had enough propane for 15 minutes . The yard and landscaping was beautiful. I would’ve given it full 5 stars and believed the price per night would have been acceptable if the place wasn’t so dirty and in need of care.
Perfect for gathering family. Very spacious and wonderful view.
The large kitchen and dining area was super for family meals and visiting. We loved being close to Sandia tram. Easy traffic patterns great for getting out an taking in Santa Fe, vales Caldera….
The house was a perfect size with room for all 6 and a dog.
The location was ideal.
There were too few glasses and some cooking pots were worn out. Extra pillows would be good. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable and a comfortable chair in the main bedroom would be nice.
The hot tub was loved by all. The outside gas grill did not work, because there was no gas in the tank.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
