We had a wonderful time!! It was nice to be able to celebrate our son and have family over for lunch. The space was absolutely perfect. We will be suggesting this place to other family and friends and may stay here again ourselves.
The property is lovely and the location is great. But VRBO parcels out the necessary info in such small increments that when exhausted travelers are trying to find the message that contains the access code on a phone screen after a long day …. Well, it’s not optimal.
Great for a week of family wedding activities. Quiet neighborhood with impressive views of beautiful sunsets. Well kept, large gathering spaces. Pool table!
We had a great stay! The place was very nice and central to our activities and family in ABQ. We had a nice time being able to play games in the game area and sit out on the patio. We would stay again.
What a great house! In town for a few days for my sis-in-laws wedding. The wide open living space, beautiful back yard with hot tub, and great gathering space around the pool table made this house perfect for us. Just the right number of beds and baths, located close to the mountains, and very responsive hosts. Highly recommend!
Beautiful and spacious! Plent of room for all us. The kitchen had everything you need. We loved the backyard where we watched my great grandkids play. The pool table was a hit! Highly recommend.
My husband and I met up with some old Air Force friends who hadn't seen each other in 40 years. We combined their reunion with the Balloon Fiesta and spent 3 nights at Mark and Cory's house. Their place was exactly as described and everyone was very pleased with the accommodations. On both occasions where we needed to reach out to him, Mark was just a phone call away and responded immediately. If/when we decide to come to Albuquerque again, we will definitely look for availability at his place first.
One of the best VRBO’s we have ever stayed at - everything was perfect! So many amenities- fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, pool table. Very safe neighborhood.
Advantages for family gathering:
1. easy access to interstate for meeting people flying in at multiple times & on different airlines
2. open space living rooms with kitchen and all bedrooms on the main floor good for a number of adults
We would definitely stay here again. Very nice. Very clean. Very convenient to all the sights we wanted to see. Owners were friendly and responsive. Five stars.
We stayed at this property with several family members. The home is very nicely decorated and clean. The back yard had hummingbirds every day and we even saw a road runner come by.
Definitely recommend! Hot tub was a nice bonus and there were no stairs for Grandma.
Great home with plenty of space and rooms for everyone! Nice patio with hot tub and views of the Albuquerque skyline!
We were in town for the 4th and had an awesome time!
Quick and easy communication with property managers. One small issue with ants in the kitchen but otherwise a perfect getaway!
Lots of towels and comfy beds with nice linens in each room. Pool table in front room was fun!
We will definitely be back and stay here again!

Fiery Sunsets Are Real
Its not just a clever title, we saw a fiery sunset on our first night there. Hanging out on the back patio overlooking the city and watching the sunset each night made this experience truly unique. There is so much space inside. One of my kids counted 29 places to sit in and around the home including the two bathrooms. Great home for a large family vacation!
This home was perfect for our needs and quite comfy. Plenty of room, well equipped kitchen, everything we could have hoped for for out 4 night stay in Albuquerque. The outside patio was well utilized including the nice big gas grill.
Suggestion: a roll up Sun blind on the west side of the patio would be ideal to shield a bit of the late day sun. We found ourselves moving the furniture around to get out of the direct Sun.
Also, the 2 main bedroom beds were fine but the beds in the other 2 rooms were not so comfy.
But all in all, we had a great time and this home was nearly perfect!

Albuquerque retreat
This property is very well kept and the owner is very attentive in answering questions by email and text. We stayed at the property while visiting family in the area. On our first night there we discovered the heater was not working. We didn't want to disturb the owner in the middle of the night, so we contacted him the next day (which was a Sunday). Mark had someone at the house that day and was able to order a part for the heater on the next business day. He was very apologetic and offered to bring more blankets if we needed while we waited on the part. He was very fair in offering us a discount on our rate due to the heater being out (as the Albuquerque temp dropped into the 20s during our stay). We would definitely stay here again as it is obvious that Mark does his best to maintain this property. It also has a fun pool table, great TVs, a hot tub off the master bedroom, and plenty of space. Thank you Mark!!

Sandia Mountains House
Wonderful location! Quiet area. Hiking a blast. Spacious home. Had to clean it ourselves but they did refund the cleaning fee. Arrived late not done cleaning, if you want to call it cleaning. Food caked in stove and at stove knobs. Frig dirty lots of leftover food in it, most expired. Lamp broken by wife cleaner at desk and not replaced. Floors sticky and dirty. Left her phone on bed had to go find her to give it back. Several interruptions with owners showing up at property. Once was unannounced. Was advertised as garage space for renter—not true. Parked in driveway. This is not run by a professional management company but by a real estate agent and his wife trying to cut cost in cleaning and maintenance. My husband had to repair several things that didn’t work since we stayed a month. Please know the walls are banged up, painting needed, a total refresh needed. Be prepared to clean it and bring your mop and bucket none is provided. Please don’t use their toaster - is so disgusting looks like from a hoarders house. The ultimate disrespect was when they accused us of stealing a piece of art just to message us that oh no we found it! These owners are simply not handling their vrbo property correctly at all! I did ask for an apology for the accusing us of stealing —-still waiting !
Mark and Cory are originally from San Francisco and Chicago respectively and, for the past 30+ years, have raised their four children in ABQ. Mark owns a real estate business and Cory works in a Walgreen's pharmacy but has a secret wish to start a fast food lunch restaurant that serves organic soup and sandwiches. We are both crazy idealists who understand our responsibility to make the world a better place. We bought this property as our retirement home once the remaining two kids are out of the nest. We love good food and music, engaging conversation, travel and outdoor activities with friends/family. Message us if you need restaurant, breweries, trails, local music, supermarkets, gyms, etc. referrals--we can help!
