The villa offers a unique retreat in one of the most splendid and environmentally protected locations of Attica, a breath away from the historic site of Marathon, the lovely mountains of Gramatico and a bus ride to the Athens metro.

If you would like to rent a villa that's truly elegant and incredibly spacious, you won't find any place better than Villa Stella. The villa has three floors Just imagine over 3500 sq ft of the top two floors of the villa, forty-foot ceilings in the living room and fourteen-foot ceilings in the four air-conditioned bedrooms, and three large bathrooms. All bedrooms and family room/kitchen are airconditioned.

The lower floor apartment is not available. If more space is required, please ask about its availability.

The décor of this villa is absolutely outstanding. Beautiful marble floors, marble bathrooms, huge windows and sliding glass doors to facilitate a view of the Aegean from most rooms, gracious large verandas and porticoes, huge BBQ next to the rose garden. Large gourmet kitchen, with oversize side-by-side refrigerator, dishwashers, double sinks, ceramic stovetops convection ovens, more cutlery and dishware than you need.

Upstairs family room with the fireplace right at the corner, adjoining the kitchen with a breakfast table, connects to the dining room through large French doors! A queen-sized couch becomes a bed! And airconditioning.

Dining room with a huge expanse of windows overlooking the Aegean, opening to the huge living room with 180-degree views and a private arched veranda overlooking the Aegean, two-story ceilings, huge TV and stereo. What have you got? Our Villa!

Visiting Athens is easy. One can take the bus and leave the driving to the Greeks, or drive to the metro station in 30 minutes and go anywhere in Athens. Spend the whole day touring Athens, eat at your favorite little taverna at the Plaka and come home to splendid serenity and beauty.

Things to do: Too tired today? Walk on down to the rocks and swim in our secluded cove that only the locals know about. Snorkeling or diving is incredible here in the deep blue waters of the Aegean (10-50 m). So, you are not that good of a swimmer? There are many other spots for you to discover that will meet your needs. You want to be able to walk in the water, then, by all means, go to the most popular crystal clear beach of Attika, Schinias beach. Swim, sunbathe and have a lovely lunch at one of the little taverns on the road. That is 5 minutes away from villa Stella. Additionally along there are several excellent beach clubs, family-oriented to keep your teenagers and little kids occupied.


You don’t want to go anywhere today! No problem, stick around the pool and enjoy the view. Put a couple of steaks on the grill, enjoy a cold beer and feel right at home! We promise you!

The boardwalks of Nea Makri (20-minute drive) and Marathonas beach are great for evening outings for ice cream, a drink, pizza etc.

The villa is located within 2.5 hours from Delphi, 1.5 Hours from Corinth, 50 minutes of Athens, Sounion, 30 minutes from the port of Rafina from where you can take the boat to Myconos, Andros, Tinos and 30 minutes from the national highway.

Our villa is licensed by the Ministry of Tourism of Greece, according to the regulations of December 2013. We recommend that you always ask about the license when considering renting a vacation home in Greece.

Please note prices reflect up to 10 guests. Above that, the lower floor apartment can become available and the pricing changes to reflect all 7 bedrooms and two fully equipped kitchens..

Amazing pool and view!

We stayed at the villa for almost a week with our family and had a great time. It is very well equipped and clean. The pool is amazing, and the view is gorgeous! The villa inside is simple but offers a lot of space to hang out together. It is a bit far from anything (a minimum 20-minute ride everywhere), so I think it is recommended, especially if you plan to stay inside and not leave more than once a day. For us it was great. Highly recommended

Greatest views

We enjoyed our stay here and the managers were very nice. The view can’t be beat and the pool is more beautiful in person. The pool was too cold to swim in every day in July. The balcony was our favorite place. The beds were sort of hard but some like that. The master is a queen, bedroom 2 was queen but felt bigger. Bed 3 was a full. The single beds in the downstairs bedroom are cots. Our teens couldn’t sleep there. One slept on the couch in second floor sitting room. It was ok, but no air. Plenty of sheets and towels. Kitchen very serviceable. As others have stated, the property is outdated and a little run down. Our biggest pet peeve was the fact that we couldn’t flush tp. Since there’s no housekeeping, we had to empty the bathroom cans ourselves. That was unexpected at this caliber of rental. We had a great time overall.

Very nice stay

Marika, who was in charge of giving us the keys, was very resposive and helpful. She gave us valuable about the house and surroundings. We were 3 couples staying there and enjoyed the breathtaking view, the pool and terrace. The big kitchen enabled us to cook tasty meals everyday. Just one point: the bedrooms are not equal at all in terms of size, view and amenities, so be prepared to draw straws!

Honest review - amazing property but dishonest description!

100% honest review. The villa truly is a very nice property - however the description is sugarcoated. If you’re staying at this villa you need a car - you cannot “leave the driving to the Greeks”. It is very remotely located and just getting to a very small mini market requires driving. Athens is 1-1.5 hours away depending on the traffic and the subway to Athens is 50 minutes away from the house - not a bus ride away; you will need to drive 30 min to get to that bus first. The agency renting the villa out for the owner are AMAZING, they’re so professional and nice and they made our stay. However when we presented our complaints to the owner herself she refused to even hear us out - she felt like we were in the wrong for not “doing our homework”, and said the description clearly stated you need to rent a car. We did contact HomeAway and after Reading the description they fully agreed with us regarding the exaggeration of the proximity of everything. When you’re renting a luxury house for one week - you need to offer the guests that service and be service-minded. You have to take your guests complaints seriously rather than claim they are wrong and stupid. Our stay would have been amazing if the owner had just been honest about the car situation - we spent 2 days locked into the house - we could’ve rented a car when we first arrived in Athens but now we paid 250 euros for taxis from Athens + another 500 euros for the cars. Hence I want to warn everyone - if you want to be close to everything and if you want to have decent and professional contact with the owner - this isn’t the property for you. The villa itself is lovely but you’d be far safer renting it directly from the agency. I’d just like to end with a big thank you to the agency for being so amazing!

Once In A Lifetime

We spent a week at the Villa Stella and had a wonderful time. A beautiful home and location, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of room, beds were comfortable, and the views were stunning. Much nicer experience than staying in a hotel. The owners referred us to a wonderful tour guide named Stavros which I would highly recommend. Seeing Greece was one of those trips of a lifetime, and staying at the Villa was one of the reasons. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable Experience!

There are just not enough superlatives to describe the experience we enjoyed while staying at Villa Stella for a week. We shared the property with another couple. The home is very spacious, such that we all had plenty of room to ourselves. The appointments are luxurious, the setting is quiet, and the views are stunning. The photos are accurate, but cannot do this property justice. The owner, Vasso, was always quick to accommodate any request we made. We retained the guide recommended in the listing. Stavros was a remarkable find, who showed us places we would not have even known to look for. Everyone made us feel like we were part of their families, and combined to create the best vacation experience we've ever had. If you are traveling to the Athens area, do not pass up this opportunity!

Exceeded expectations..

It's always risky to book vacation overseas, remotely, but it was extremely positive experience for us..villa Stella is a heaven on earth , stunning views, from almost all the sides, luxurious , , comfortable with its 4 bedrooms, very well maintained, clean , sufficiently equipped kitchen .Great location -remote from civilization yet easily accessible , nice beaches, near town Marathonas, and other charming places.., not to mention Athens, 1 hr away... Our stay was wonderful , the host -owner , mrs Vasso, is there yo make sure u have everything u need. providing all the info regarding how to get around, where to shop, what to see, etc... Overall it was absolutely great experience , I'm keeping this place in my future vacation plans, definitely coming back , spreading news to my colleagues at work, friends, etc.. My family stayed in this beautiful seaside villa. As soon as we drove within ten minutes of Villa Stella we realized that the entire area is very special. It is situated on a peninsula that is uncrowded and the relatively few homes are definitely upscale. The villa itself is located at the top of a small mountain, overlooking the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most lovely views that we have seen (and we are relatively well-traveled). The owners, Vasso and her husband, live close by, which is a blessing. They were extremely warm, courteous and helpful in every way. When my younger daughter landed a bad case of sunburn and we had to postpone our outbound flight by 2 days, they not only were flexible about the change but made sure that we had proper medication by contacting a nearby pharmacy and even drove us to a physician so that my daughter could be seen by a medical professional! If you want to experience luxurious living and relax next to a beautiful pool or on a veranda with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean I would heartily recommend this rental to everyone.

Amazing Grecian Holiday

My husband and I travelled to Greece to celebrate two 40th wedding anniversaries (my parents and our very dear friends). We had the absolute pleasure and good fortune of staying at Villa Stella! The house was amazing…the view was stunning and we enjoyed the pool more than you can imagine! Vasso was a true gem! We enjoyed the many conversations we had with her and appreciated her hospitality, humor, knowledge and recommendations. Vasso and her sister, Despina, ensured the 40th wedding anniversary celebration was a huge success by arranging for a private chef and providing such a welcoming environment! Despina and Vasso were truly gracious hosts and we could not have asked for anything more! We took Vasso’s and Despina’s recommendation and used Stavros as our tour guide. There are not enough words to describe the value he added! His knowledge of the country, its history, culture and people was spectacular. He was so kind and accommodating! To quote my husband…”he walks on water”! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We had such an amazing time!

Our trip to Greece and staying at Sella Villa with family and friends for our 40th wedding anniversary was AMAZING . The accommodations were outstanding and the views stunning. It was perfect for the 10 of us.Great location for a getaway yet close to great beaches and good restaurants. Vasso and Despina were great hostess and helpful with our travel needs. We did use Stavros as our travel guide he was extremely helpful with transfers and driving us to Dephi.Rented a van from Clio rent a car very good service. 40th wedding aniversary

All we can say is WOW! Vasso (and Despina), thank you so much for all of your wonderful hospitality. Your home was perfect for our both the "sixtysomething's" and the "thirtysomethings". The views were stunning and the pool inviting!!! You were extremely helpful and accommodating, specifically during the 40th wedding aniversery festivities...one of our favorite nights and we enjoyed toasting, talking and laughing with you both! We decided to use Stavros as our tour guide...by far the smartest thing we did our entire stay!!! Paradise by the Sea!

This was one of the best vacations I have ever taken, and the accommodations were stellar. The views from the property are the main attraction: from almost every window in the house you have amazing views of the sea laid out before you. Basking in the pool while gazing out on the bright blue ocean is an experience everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. Multiple patios that allow you to sunbathe or relax in the shade were a nice bonus. Inside, the house is well-appointed with nice details (like marble floors and pretty bathrooms). I loved sitting in the living room with the floor-to-ceiling windows during the heat of the day and reading. The property gives you a feeling of being "away from it all," in the lap of luxury, yet within half an hour there are multiple fun towns to explore, sandy beaches, restaurants, shopping. It's close enough to Athens, Delphi and Sounion (all of which I highly recommend) and yet it's away from all the hustle and bustle--which was the perfect mix. Local restaurants were yummy, and you can't beat eating in your bathing suit and sarong (talk about casual!). Of course the property was clean, well-maintained, great customer service-- we had no complaints and would love to return someday.

Villa Stella Review

We arrived in Athens after a Med cruise on NCL. We rented a 9 seat van from the owner recommended Clio car rental. The vehicle was delivered to the airport as stated, but we found the van an older, well used, vehicle with 65000 km and absolutely no vehicle options. Do not get the GPS as there are numerous areas where it will not work, like getting to the house. The directions to the property provided were adequate, but could be improved by indicating kilometer distances between turn points. We met the owner at the entrance to the subdivision, but found no gate to the gated community and only occasionally a guard that never challenged our nonstop passage. Arriving at the house we found the property to be generally surface clean. However, items such as the coffee maker would not even percolate because it was so dirty, the pool had not been cleaned and the house smelled of cigarette smoke. The owners lived on the lower floor and continued their smoking that filtered upward until we addressed the issue with them. If prospective renters typically sleep on a softer mattress, note that these are rock hard. The satellite TV service did not work and the owner did not make any efforts to reinstate service. The house has a great view at a remote location, but it takes say 20 minutes to get out to the main road for restaurants, shopping, etc. We have rented previously, typically at ski areas (Aspen, etc) where the properties are expertly maintained, but found the maintainence lacking for a property in this category.

Villa Stella is beautiful

The house was beautiful with marble floors throughout, tastefully decorated, and well maintained. A wonderful breeze can be enjoyed every morning on the porch as you look out over the sea. The owners who live in the apartment below were helpful with advice and cordial. The propoerty is remote so it is best for those who want to get away from it all but still be within an hour of Athens to allow sightseeing, shopping, etc. A great place for those that want a beautiful view to curl up with a book by the pool and enjoy the weather and scenery.

We spent a wonderful week at the villa. We have 3 boys and they enjoyed the house and the pool. The views from the villa at sunrise and sunset are the most beautiful we have ever seen. We also went to Mykonos and other isles but it was difficult to leave the house. It was georgeous. The owners are very helpful and the house has all amenities.

"Making you feel at home" receives a new meaning at Villa Stella. The hospitality of Vasso and Despina is amazing. You are offered a gracious home, overlooking the bay, with a great pool. However, it is not just the extreme comfort which makes this place so unique. It is the generosity of its owners who simply hst you as their home-coming relative. The 10 of us including 2 babies and a child arrived to find food in the freezer, milk, tonic and beer in the fridge and plenty of goodies in the cupboards. The public beach with its typically friendly taverns is just 10 minutes away to coplete the ideal vacation.

We were so fortunate to find this rental! what a great find! What we enjoyed most was the living room veranda. It was so relaxing to get up in the morning, make coffee and sit and take in the view of the sea and ilsands or at night unwind with a glass of great greek wine and take in the night scape: moon and city lights. Ah! this is life. we also liked the living romm/dining room combination; lots of windows with great views and the private veranda of the master bedroom was not bad either. We were happy with this rental. Close enough to everything but far enough from everything. IT WAS GREAT!
