Bayou Liberty Waterfront Estate

Secluded 8 acre waterfront estate on Bayou Liberty. This stunning property features 400 feet of waterfront frontage. 20-25 minute boat ride to Lake Pontchartrain & 40 minute car ride to New Orleans. Small boat lift, kayaks & bikes for your use. Property sits on the Tammany Trace bike trail. 15 miles to Fontainebleau State Park & 20 minutes to Mandeville lakefront. Very private & perfect for family vacations or long weekends.

I take a lot of pride in my home. This is not a typical vacation rental, it is my 2nd home. I want you to experience it and enjoy it, but please take care of it. If you cannot, please don't book it. If you do not have any reviews, or have any negative reviews, please do not instant book. Contact owner to discuss booking possibilities.

The property can also possibly be rented for events such as small weddings, reunions or anniversaries, please inquire about the pricing. Guest will have access to the entire property.

We didnt see any roaches which were a concern. Great location, but was a little hard to find at first because maps wants to take you down and around for some reason. We had the privilege of fighting the great termite invasion which we didnt know was a thing in Louisiana. Overall I would stay again, just not in the spring

I love this house (if you’re ever in the market to sell, let me know). It’s like you’re in your own secluded private home in the bayou but you’re 2 minutes away from anything you need! We loved kayaking in the bayou, bicycling the trail, making s’mores by the bonfire and making so many great memories! I would definitely stay here again when in the area!!

This property has great potential but is terribly rundown. The photos shown are not accurate and were likely taken many years ago. The following items were broken: door locks, stove simply had a sign on it that said be careful will stove replacement ordered (we were not informed of this prior to arrival and had to eat out because we felt like cooking wouldn't be safe), outdoor pathway lights, fire pit, front window cracked, walkways overgrown and slippery. The cleanliness was horrible. We killed or cleaned up no less than 20 cockroaches upon our arrival. The sunroom floor and mantle were covered with dead tiny flies (we were told by neighbors that they were flying termites). The cream colored drapes had brown stains on them that looked like someone spit tobacco on them (this was throughout the whole house). Pillows were stained and had a funny smell. The shower curtain had pink mold all over it. The promised wagon was not available to help with moving items to the house, the lawn furniture was not set up or available. We didn't even have one towel per person and had to share. We did try to contact the host when washer didn't work and no response. The house says it sleep 10 but really only accommodates 8. The couches are not bed quality. I realize that there are bugs in Louisiana and that this was an old home but our situation was pretty extreme, It seems like the home wasn't staged for our use. The area is beautiful but the home was lacking in so many ways.

Amazingly quiet yet just minutes from WalMart and restaurants. Relaxing walks along Tammany Trace. Beautiful glass walls in sunroom allowed nature viewing with indoor comfort. Owner was quick to respond to our needs.

Historical charm

Wonderful historical house well furnished with a mix of age that lends to the character and charm of the dwelling. My wife was craving for historical information on the house. Area location is a bit secluded from city life but very close to restaurants and shopping. It was about a 30 min drive to New Orleans

I was born in New Orleans and Christopher was born in Albuquerque. We have lived in New Orleans for the last 15 years. I am a local real estate agent in the area. Real estate is my entire life. I love all aspects of it.
In my free time I love traveling, staying fit, collecting art, and spending as much time with family, friends and our dogs as much as possible.

The great thing about this property is, it's just minutes from everything in Slidell, however it's private and secluded. The grounds are stunning, it's waterfront and it honestly feels like you've gone a century back in time the minute you enter the grounds, however you have all of the modern conveniences.
