Secluded 8 acre waterfront estate on Bayou Liberty. This stunning property features 400 feet of waterfront frontage. 20-25 minute boat ride to Lake Pontchartrain & 40 minute car ride to New Orleans. Small boat lift, kayaks & bikes for your use. Property sits on the Tammany Trace bike trail. 15 miles to Fontainebleau State Park & 20 minutes to Mandeville lakefront. Very private & perfect for family vacations or long weekends.

I take a lot of pride in my home. This is not a typical vacation rental, it is my 2nd home. I want you to experience it and enjoy it, but please take care of it. If you cannot, please don't book it. If you do not have any reviews, or have any negative reviews, please do not instant book. Contact owner to discuss booking possibilities.

The property can also possibly be rented for events such as small weddings, reunions or anniversaries, please inquire about the pricing. Guest will have access to the entire property.

Beautiful secluded property, rustic yet modern and charming, accurate listing, hands-off hosts with good taste. Very close to town while maintaining privacy - 45min-1hr drive to New Orleans proper but very easy commute for a first-timer. Couldn't ask for a better friends-and-family getaway!

The overall house is amazing. It’s an older home much older home than I realized the property is lovely. The black Bayou kind of scared me with the alligators that were that close. The house could use a really good deep cleaning. We found things that told us the house needed maintenance a lot of maintenance. We enjoyed our stay. I cleaned the house for us and I vacuumed on the way out cause I had my dogs with me. The owners were friendly and kind and answered every time we called or text the front door could use some work because it does not lock its Amazing property. It just needs maintenance.

The house was very nice. But also dirty. All the curtains were floor length & heavy. But all had what appeared to be animal urine on the bottom. Stuff was splattered on the walls. But could’ve been easily wiped off. The garbage disposal was clogged & filled the sink with disgusting water. My husband called the host a few times. But didn’t get a response. My son in law is a maintenance supervisor so he fixed it after the next day. It was full of broken glass & crawfish shells. It worked perfectly after that was removed. The “coffee bar” was an old coffee pot, a partial bag of sugar and some plastic spoons.

We didnt see any roaches which were a concern. Great location, but was a little hard to find at first because maps wants to take you down and around for some reason. We had the privilege of fighting the great termite invasion which we didnt know was a thing in Louisiana. Overall I would stay again, just not in the spring

I love this house (if you’re ever in the market to sell, let me know). It’s like you’re in your own secluded private home in the bayou but you’re 2 minutes away from anything you need! We loved kayaking in the bayou, bicycling the trail, making s’mores by the bonfire and making so many great memories! I would definitely stay here again when in the area!!

Peaceful bayou

Amazingly quiet yet just minutes from WalMart and restaurants. Relaxing walks along Tammany Trace. Beautiful glass walls in sunroom allowed nature viewing with indoor comfort. Owner was quick to respond to our needs.

for the most part all good, house needs pictures updated and back of the house needs more illumination on the rear part and thru-out the property and certainly check on the roaches a few here and there over all a nice cozy place and good location.

I was born in New Orleans and Christopher was born in Albuquerque. We have lived in New Orleans for the last 15 years. I am a local real estate agent in the area. Real estate is my entire life. I love all aspects of it.
In my free time I love traveling, staying fit, collecting art, and spending as much time with family, friends and our dogs as much as possible.

Why they chose this property

The great thing about this property is, it's just minutes from everything in Slidell, however it's private and secluded. The grounds are stunning, it's waterfront and it honestly feels like you've gone a century back in time the minute you enter the grounds, however you have all of the modern conveniences.
