'Slopeside Lodge' - Watch Skiers from the Couch!

Experience unparalleled convenience with this 2-bedroom condo, located less than 100 yards from the ski slopes. This unit provides everything necessary for a comfortable stay, including easy access to all the amenities Sugar Mountain has to offer. Accommodations consist of a king bed, twin beds, and a sleeper sofa. Each bedroom has televisions. Accessible via only eight steps, this mountain-style retreat includes a private deck where you can enjoy the soothing sounds of the nearby creek, with the ski slopes of Sugar Mountain just beyond. After a day on the slopes, retreat to your condo to enjoy meals without the high costs associated with ski lodge dining.
In the summer, the condo serves as an ideal getaway, complete with air conditioning, and is just a short walk from tennis, golf, and various festivities. The unit is fully equipped with a washer and dryer, a complete kitchen, Wi-Fi, YouTube TV, and a beautiful electric fireplace for warmth and ambiance.
Please note: Check-ins are not permitted on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests are required to sign their rental agreement within seven days of booking.

I liked the location and that it is a first floor condo. That was nice for access to the slopes. Expect loud foot steps above you though. This place had what we neeeded, a kitchen and washing machine and dryer as well as room for 6 to sleep. This unit needs some updating and maintenance as well as better dishes for cooking.

Slope side Lodge at Sugar Mountain Ski

The place was awesome. Larger than I expected. Great location beside the ski slope and lodge. The scenery was great and entertaining (watching skiers). The condo was clean and well decorated. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and it was easy and safe to use. I will stay here again for future trips to Sugar Mountain.

Never saw Slopeside Lodge

Owner withdrew property after my rental initiated. Substitute property offered by rental Co. It was fine, but not air conditioned. Worked out okay. Love the area and Grandfather Mountain is amazing.

DESPERATELY NEEDS CLEANING AND RENOVATION

It needs a deep thorough cleaning. Carpet dirty. Pots and pans rusted. Entrance is through a plywood walled room that was dirty and had a bad musty smell as did the entire condo. The entire place is in original condition built and furnished in the 70’s. Bulbs burnt in light fixtures. If it was a steal of a deal I wouldn’t complain as I never have given a negative review here. But this was way overpriced. Look closely at the pictures as most were not accurate. I will not return.

Unfortunately, the entry is a common area that is maintained by the property manager for the homeowners association. We will contact them with your comments and ask them to take action. The cost of the lodging was significant, not terrible but significant for 2 nights and we needed to be out with keys to office by 10 am on checkout day. Seems a bit tight, could be noon and so much better. Also have to carry out all trash for the amount we paid and for cleaning this shouldn't be the case. Location great, people nice.

I contacted the office at Resort Real Estate and Rentals and the individual I spoke with was able to guide my choice on location. The stay at Bee Slope was great! It was close to the Sugar Ski and having the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great for a family. The fireplace was nice and cozy and enjoyed relaxing in the living room area. The kitchen was functional and we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at the condo. Overall, we had a very nice stay. I feel like the only thing that could use improvement would be a newer mattress in the master bedroom since I found it very thin and somewhat lacking support. I would stay here again in the future.

Our family of five had plenty of room and enjoyed having two bathrooms. The new kitchen table was great. The kitchen needs more pots and pans and the mattress on the sofa bed needs to be replaced. We were glad we brought our sound machine for our sleeping children because the walls are very thin. The fireplace was great. Everything is dated but clean.
