A self catering house which sleeps 8 people comfortably.
This beautiful house is in a tranquil and amazing location in the village of Chenac St Seurin D'Uzet in the second sunniest region of France the Charente Maritime.
Its south facing garden overlooks the Gironde estuary and provides sun bathing opportunities and with its large oak framed sit-outtery you also have the chance to admire the stunning views of the Gironde estuary in the sun or the shade.

It is surrounded by amazing rolling countryside and is perfect for walking and cycling.

It is very close to beautiful harbour ports, gorgeous beaches, picturesque villages which means that you do not have to travel far which is extremely valuable at such a precious time.

It is also fairly near to ancient cities such as Bordeaux, Cognac, Saintes and La Rochelle which are very interesting to visit.

The house has been recently refurbished to a high standard and is extremely spacious.

The kitchen overlooks the south facing garden and features a luxury solid oak farmhouse kitchen with all necessary equipment.

The lounge and dining room also face the garden with pretty views and are well equipped with quality furniture.

There are two bedrooms downstairs with quality beds and furniture and a luxury shower room.

There are two further extra large bedrooms upstairs one with a super king bed and the other with a king size bed and a further luxury shower room.

From the upstairs bedrooms you can see the Gironde estuary.

Amazing house, amazing views.

We had a wonderful holiday in this house. It was our third holiday there. Truly amazing. Peaceful and tranquil and wonderful views of the Gironde estuary. Lovely beaches very near. Incredible weather too.

Beautiful spot.

Beautiful location suited our needs. Think the place could have been a little cleaner, think the previous holiday makers had left it thus. Bedding and towels clean and beds comfy although bedrooms were hot and couldn'tleave windows open because of mosquitos, only one window upstairs had a screen. I advise taking a fan or mosquito net and plenty of bug spray. Very well equioped but a small welcome pack would have been nice. scrreenmosquito screen which fell off

Was the listing description accurate regarding the location, layout, facilities, etc? Yes, the only Problem we had with finding the address, as our nawi did not show it. The owners gave direction by phone and received us then. •Was the property clean, was it well-maintained? absolutely yes. •Did the owner or manager provide good customer service? Yes, very kind and accurate. •Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? yes. •What activities, attractions and restaurants did you like or dislike We enjoyed exploring the Region. Maison sur-évaluée

Grosse déception. L'annonce était alléchante, la note de satisfaction était de 8,8 sur 10 ! Et pourtant, la maison est sale, des toiles d'araignées énormes partout, des insectes morts sur les rebord de fenêtre, dans les radiateurs. Le tapis du salon était plein de poils de chien, bref le ménage n'était pas fait, et de longue date. Les chambres du haut étaient à 31° la nuit, la salle de abin du haut, censée être une salle de bain de luxe, était sans aération, avec une ouverture béante sur la chambre. Petit cabine de douche, une vasque classique. On est loin du luxe ! Les toilettes du bas fonctionnent mal et surtout, font un bruit terrible quand la chasse d'eau se remplit, faisant vrombir les murs pendant une minute ! Idéal pour réveiller tout le monde la nuit ! Quand à l'extérieur, la région était envahie de moustiques, tous les locaux le savaient mais aucune mesure de protection n'a été prise pour nous permettre de ne pas en souffrir. On avait 2 moustiquaires pour les chambres du haut qui se décollaient tout le temps, pas de moustiquaire pour le bas (mais pourquoi?). On a même été obligé d'acheter une moustiquaire de 12m2 en ligne pour couvrir l'abri dans le jardin pour pouvoir enfin manger dehors tranquille (au bout de 5 jours du séjour). Une fois protégé des moustiques, vous mangez et là une odeur nauséabonde vous envahit : c'est le conduit de la fosse septique qui est à 1m de l'abri extérieur pour manger ! Bref, on devait rester 14 jours, on est parti au bout de 10 !

schönes Haus, tolle Lage

Wir hatten 3 wundervolle Wochen in diesem wirklich schönen Haus. Es ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Wohnzimmer könnte verbessert werden. Dort haben wir uns allerdings sehr selten aufgehalten. Wir waren mit 2 Familien vor Ort, insgesamt 4 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder. Dafür war es perfekt. Die Zimmeraufteilung hat gut gepasst. Die Lage des Hauses ist traumhaft. Vor allem für Urlaub mit Kindern ist es super geeignet. Die direkte Umgebung ist sehr ruhig. Alles wichtige gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen, Einkauf, Strand, Kultur, Geschichte. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Vermieter sind sehr unkompliziert und bei Anliegen sehr gut zu erreichen. Vielen Dank nochmal und liebe Grüße sendet Familie Spring We had 3 wonderful weeks in this really beautiful house. It is furnished with great attention to detail. The living room could be improved. However, we very rarely stayed there. We were there with 2 families, a total of 4 adults and 4 children. It was perfect for that. The room layout was a good fit. The location of the house is fantastic. Especially for vacations with children it is super suitable. The immediate surroundings are very quiet. Everything important is easy to reach by car, shopping, beach, culture, history. We have enjoyed the stay very much. The landlords are very uncomplicated and very easy to reach for any concerns. Thank you again and best regards from the Spring family.

Mega schön

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr schön und die Gastgeber sehr freundlich uns wurden von Ihnen auch ein paar Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe genannt. Das Haus war sehr sauber und wie im Inserat beschrieben, die Lage ist für jemanden der Ruhe und Erholung sucht Ideal. Der morgentliche Blick auf die Mündung lässt den Tag sehr schön beginnen. Wir können das Haus und die Gastgeber wärmstens empfehlen.

Par les grosses chaleurs, la fraîcheur de la maison et la grande pergola extérieure étaient très appréciées. Quelques manquements d'ustensiles dans la cuisine et entretien des machines à améliorer. Les chambres au rez-de-chaussée sont fraîches mais celles à l'étage trop chaudes. La maison est située à courte distance de plusieurs activités et plages. Dommage que la propriétaire ne soit disponible que par email, mais elle est très gentille.

Maison charentaise typique, spacieuse, agréable et très bien située face à l'estuaire de la Gironde. L'environnement est particulièrement calme, et les voisins (à distance) très agréables (légumes de leur potager...). Par ailleurs, la literie est très confortable. Enfin, nos hôtes (un couple anglais, résidant à mi-temps en France) sont charmants, disponibles et serviables. Nous avons passé une excellente quinzaine en famille.

Ce séjour a été bénéfique pour nous tous même si la météo n'a pas été clémente ( en même temps que la tornade sur l'île d'Oléron ! ! ) Nous avons appréciè les visites et sorties proches ou plus lointaines Le gîte est fort bien placé ,nous ne nous sommes pas gênés à 4 couples , peut être faut il un peu plus de saladiers de grands plats , des grandes poêles Mais rien n'est parfait ,jamais ,ce qui n'a pas pertubé notre joyeuse équipe !

Très belle maison, dans un cadre magnifique (vue sur l'estuaire depuis le jardin) et très reposant. Rien ne manque pour passer un excellent séjour dans cette maison (peut-être quelques torchons supplémentaires et une ou deux grandes poêles ou casseroles seraient les bienvenus). La région est superbe et la maison est à dix minutes des plages les plus proches. La propriétaire est très sympathique et arrangeante. A recommander chaleureusement.

Royaal huis in mooie omgeving

Royaal huis met veel ruimte binnen en buiten. Goed uitgeruste keuken , fijne tuin met voldoende schaduw , barbecue en prachtig uitzicht over de Gironde. Geweldige omgeving. Zeer teleurstellend was de netheid van het huis bij aankomst. We hebben hebben zelf 3 uur schoongemaakt om het acceptabel te krijgen. Prijs - kwaliteit is in orde. Er was voldoende informatie over de omgeving beschikbaar. Al met al een heerlijke vakantie met één minpunt.

It is a coastal property with stunning views and is so close to beautiful harbour ports and beaches which has enormous advantages in that you do not have to travel very far to visit stunning places.
There are also amazing places to visit further afield too such as La Rochelle Bordeaux and Cognac.
