About this property

Beach House -optional BIKES - Walk 2 Shops & Fun

This cozy 2 bedroom house is renovated. You will enjoy the mid/south-island location close 2 many shops & restaurants. U can easily walk to Redfern Village & other entertainment. King & Queen beds & the living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. Comes w/ new furnishings & business class wifi. Just outside the house is a huge private fenced backyard for great outdoor living. 4 bikes for an additional fee. Does NOT have a grill. NO PETS ALLOWED.

This is the main, private house that is attached to a cute apartment (kind of like a townhouse). There is NOT any door connecting the two units. They are COMPLETELY separate.

This house is in a great location on Demere Rd. Road noise may be heard during your stay. However, the speed limit is slow enough for golf carts, so no fast traffic.

Close to Redfern Village, short drive to beach and pier.

Has full size washer dryer in unit.

If you would like additional set of Bath Towels and Wash Cloths dropped off, the cleaning company charges $20. Just let me know and I can do a money request.

By booking on this platform, you are agreeing to the cancellation policy in place. Additionally, please keep in mind that this cancellation policy is also maintained through all situations. For example, during Hurricane Season, it is important for guests to check if there is a large storm that would be approaching the United States and make a personal decision if it is best to keep the reservation or cancel the
reservation and schedule a different time. Your booking platform may offer vacation insurance which I believe can be purchased at the time of booking. However, we are not affiliated with that or know anything about that process or coverage. The guests would have to work with your booking platform directly in order to sort all of that out. However, if an evacuation is ordered for the area, then reservations will be canceled and fully refunded.

Very spacious and equipped with everything that we needed. Very clean and plenty of towels. The location was central to Epworth and the downtown area. Busy road, but noise not noticeable inside and easy to get on and off the road. Great communication with the host. Beds were comfortable.

Holiday cheer getaway

Great place and wonderful host. Clean and friendly place for family. Every ask was answered and the host even had a soccer net for the kiddo's. Will definately be back to this clean, cute little piece of heaven.

Great house

We are four senior adults and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. David is a great host and the house is very comfortable with just about everything you need. The winn Dixie is only a few blacks away and the mid islands location is perfect.

The stay was very pleasant close to shopping and pier

We went for a short vacation the place was awesome clean had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves.We didn’t have to bring dishes mor did we have to bring our own bath towels or washcloths everything was provided even had washer and refer and dishwasher.I would recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect for what we needed!

The house was very clean and provided everything you need for your stay. The owner was easy to reach and responded quickly. The pool they mention in the listing was not in walking distance, but only a 7 min drive and we spent everyday there. The location of being mid-island was still very close to downtown and a short drive. Plenty of shopping/restaurants in walking/biking distance. We would definitely stay here or at other properties the owner has.

Anniversary stay

This was our first time staying on St Simon. The house was nice and worked very well for us. There were only 2 downsides to this rental. It's right on the main street coming in and leaving the island, but traffic at night was minimal. The gate to the back yard was broken and left open, which can be fixed pretty easily. We will definitely be considering this rental for our future stays.

The area is fine and perfectly safe. The house is super cute and clean and has everything you need. The owner is very responsive and helpful. It is located on a fairly busy road. That was not a problem for us whatsoever, but I wouldn’t rate the location as five stars. I would rate everything else about the property as five stars. Certainly the cost of rent was very fair for the location.

Clean and neat house, but not for those seeking peace and quiet

The house is very clean with good attention to detail. One drawback is it is on the main road for entering and exiting the island. You can hear every car, siren, horn, radio, truck, motorcycle and even pedestrians and bicyclists. There is never a break in the noise. If you are staying with a group who listens to background music, tv, or constant conversation, you might not be bothered by the traffic. But if you are looking for a place to rest with a good book or quiet contemplation, then this isn't the house for you. We had to check out two days early to find a quieter place to stay because the noise became too much for us. We wrote the owner to explain why we were leaving early, but he said our experience did not sound normal to him, that "even though there is some street noise, it is usually about pretty mild." "Some street noise" suggests there are also moments of quiet, but there was hardly any quiet, except for a few seconds here or there, in between the constant rush of cars. And it was not "mild," for us it was nerve wracking. Again it is a great price, so if you don't mind constant traffic noise, then I recommend this house.

We were in town for an event on Saturday evening. It worked out to be a great location for us to go directly across the street to a wonderful tavern to watch football during the day. The house had all the essentials that we needed.

Check in instructions were clear. Management communications to us about the very strict rules were ALL CAPS - basically shouting repeatedly with fines associated with each potential infraction. The facilities were as clean as most. There is a lot of deferred maintenance - cracked tile in kitchen area, likely due to a leaking dishwasher. Chipped woodwork and walls, loose faucets.

Birthday Getaway

First time visiting St. Simons and it was a trip to remember. Dave was the most amazing host. He communicated any and everything we may need before we even arrived. We had a small problem come up on the property and Dave sent maintenance to assist in a matter of 2 minutes, it was great! His hospitality is exceptional. I look forward to visiting St. Simons again and staying at Dave’s property.

Golf stay

Perfect for my family to relax during a golf tournament. The host, David, reacted quickly to a small issue on arrival. The issue was resolved quickly and we had no other issues during our short stay. The home was clean and well equipped. The location is off a main road so there is some road noise but we were so tired after full days it did not bother us.

Clean and cute little beach house!

We enjoyed staying in this little 2 bedroom beach house! Close to the beach and restaurants with only a 5-8 min drive! It was clean and neat. It is very close to a busy road so you do hear some road noise. The only things that may need work is the dishwasher needs a good scrub inside and the master tub/shower sprays at you when filling up and doesn’t plug well to fill the tub for a small child. Just leave the faucet running so the water doesn’t run out! Overall we had a good experience and would stay again!

Why they chose this property

This unit is south mid-island. You can walk to Waffle House in the morning even though it is equipped to make breakfast and coffee with a Keurig machine. You can use the free bikes that are provided and ride all the way to the beach. The famous Southern Soul BBQ restaurant is just a half mile away. At night there is live music at Red Fern Village which is just about a half a mile away. The locals love Red Fern Village. We enjoy oysters at Catch 228 and fish sandwiches from Gnat's Landing. Both restaurants have live music.
