Spotlessly clean cozy cabin on a pretty little lake. A great home base from which to explore the area. Brett was helpful and responsive. Would recommend!
This property has a beautiful scenery. The cabin itself is cozy and charming and every morning the fog rolling in over the pond is breathtaking. The hosts were great and we really enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful cabin next to a small lake within the property of the owner. Caught a couple baby fish and kayaked around Winslow Homer Lake. Everything was exceptional - clean, comfortable, easy to find. Loved the outdoor porch overlooking the water for meals and morning coffee. Nearby spot for a great cup of coffee and shopping is It's About Thyme. Nearby fishing at Lake Minerva. Nearby hike Moxham Mtn 2.5 miles to summit. A great stay!
Very nice place to relax. Sitting by the lake is very nice. Staff was very friendly. Some good places in town to eat. Half hour from Lake George. Highly recommend Minverva Beach about 2 miles away(if visiting in summer time). House was very clean and large property to explore.
This property is incredibly quiet and off the beaten path. Brett (owner) was very easy to work with and communicated well. If your looking for a place just to get away from the hustle and bustle, this cottage will certainly help you decompress from every day life.
Great cabin close to Gore Mountain and North Creek
Brett the host is a great person. He was very communicative and ensured we were able to get in and out during the snow storm that dumped close to 20 inches today. His property is huge and sits on a pond which was frozen and fully snow covered during our stay but I’m sure it would be lovely in the spring/summer/fall.
This cabin on Winslow Lake felt like our own private retreat, and that we had the lake all to ourselves – no other cabins near us! Great views from the front porch. It was quiet, restful, and exactly the kind of peaceful getaway we were hoping for.The cabin was “classic authentic”, what I was hoping for to relive my childhood cabin memories. It had soul – outside screened porch door, mud room, wooden kitchen cabinets, full kitchen set-up with large fridge, paneled living room, board games, tables in kitchen, porch, and picnic area, plus Adirondack chairs, BBQ, fire pit and kayaks. Updated bathroom, and TV/wifi, 2 basic comfortable bedrooms, with AC in the main bedroom and a fan in the 2nd.The location is ideal—a few minutes to two small towns for restaurants and grocery stores, and convenient drives to other lakes in the Adirondacks. A surprise was how close we were to pretty Minerva Lake, for a close-by alternate “lake” hit with additional hiking and water options. One thing to note is that the bathroom is on the ground floor, while the bedrooms are upstairs. The staircase is very sturdy with a mid-way landing and a turn. If you use the bathroom during the night, a tip is to keep the lamp on near the bathroom hallway to light the way.To sum up, we had a wonderful, relaxing time and would happily stay here again.
We had an amazing time at this cabin! The owners are really friendly. We “Rode the Rails” in North Creek, which is about 11 minutes away, and learned some interesting local history about Teddy Roosevelt. After that, we spent some time at Lake George. Our favorite part was sitting by the fire at night, the stars were amazing! The kids loved using the kayaks, and everyone tried fishing, catching a few small perch. We also went to “Oscars Smoke House” picked up some chicken to grill and a raspberry pie for dessert. Delicious! The property is beautiful, and we enjoyed walks in the morning. It was a perfect place for our family of four!
Beautiful property with a rustic cabin style interior. Sitting on the house porch overlooking the lake is a highlight. Our host was available and helpful to meet any renters needs. We feel the value we received was worth our stay at this location.
Do not stay here We left his property because we felt unsafe after about 4 hours of checking in. We left in order to feel safe regardless of the refund or cost. Our safety was of concern.

My mom and I spent the last couple days of our annual two week adventure on this lovely pond. It’s in a great location where you can drive to many different activities like rail biking, fishing, and tubing. Or you can simply sit out on the deck overlooking a lovely pond and watch beaver, hawk, heron, ducks and other wildlife!

Setting of the house is lovely with a view of a large pond backed by woods. House needs work and esp. the bathroom and bed rooms. Septic apparently is fragile according to owner which places an undue burden on the renter as the owner is overly careful of exceeding capacity.
