We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The place was beautiful, comfortable, and had a stunning view of the beach that made our stay truly special. Everything was just as described, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location.The host was fantastic—welcoming, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. You could really tell they cared about making sure we had a great experience.We loved our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommended!

We had a large family gathering at the Palace. The ages of the party were from 5 to 56. The kids loved it becaue there were crabs, lizards and even a group of monkeys you could see from the house. The air conditioning was great in every room. Julia was responsive to every question, had massage therapists come to the house and the cleaning crew came every day. We had a great time walking to the beach were there was a reataurant. The Palace had wonderful views of the sunset, town was about a ten minute drive and the property was about 45 minutes from the airport. The things to know going in is that the pool is a wonderful lounging pool, but they ask not to jump in the pool (for good reason) so it was tricky keeping the small children at bay.

Everything about the property was amazing. Julia was very easy to work with and extremely responsive to all of our questions and requests. Andre was amazing to work with as well with the tours and knowledge of the area. The views were top notch. We would definitely rent this property again.

Julia went over and beyond answering all my questions (tons) to help facilitate a group of 19 women on a Pilates retreat. She even provided 19 mats for us so no one had to travel with them. There are always glitches and issues that arise on any trip; it’s not about being problem free, it’s about how problems are handled. She was professional and caring and the staff was fantastic and a pleasure to work with. The location was also great. Easy walk to restaurant on beach and we were even able to walk to nearby Monkey Farm for horseback riding on the beach. If you go for that activity go for the later ride… the most spectacular sunset on the beach while on horseback was an incredible experience. I look forward to returning with another group and highly recommended

We just had an amazing week long stay with 4 families (8 adults, 11 children). Julia was a fabulous host, extremely responsive and welcoming. There was plenty of space for all couples and children to not feel crammed or on top of each other. The house had a fully stocked kitchen, freezer for ice and large refrigerator, oven and grill. The daily housekeeping that is included was an extra bonus. We easily arranged activities and transportation through Andrey and each family rented a golf cart, which I 10/10 recommend for getting to the beach and town. We had a fabulous time and highly recommend Malinche Palace.

We had the best vacation at The Malinche Palace. The property was gorgeous and comfortable. Everything was so lovely. Julia went above and beyond for each part to make sure the property was perfect everyday. I would highly recommend this place for the big groups.

Great place to stay

I planned a work related retreat to this location and it worked out perfectly! The staff were great and helpful. Julia, the house manager, was easy to work with. I would recommend Malinche to anyone that wanted to visit Costa Rica!!

Absolutely beautiful

Julia was a wonderful host and communicated quickly. The maids were so kind, did an excellent job, and chef service was very good! Used Mauricio for excursions and he was so personable and made everything more fun! Loved our stay, would definitely recommend!

This property is one of a kind. If you’re thinking about renting this house don’t second guess yourself. If I could give a 10 star review I would. The only thing I would change is that we didn’t stay long enough.

Awesome Stay

Place was amazing, we had an awesome time. The sunset views was spectacular. Its very close to the beach. Julia was a fantastic host. Kids had a blast in the pool. The house was perfect for our group of 19. You will not be disappointed booking this place. Julia helped us renting golf cart, which we used to go around the town. Tons of places to eat in town. She also arranged for massages in house and that was perfect. I highly recommend booking this place.

Amazing home !!!

Julia and her husband were great hosts we loved the way they took care of us. Even when calling them at night they always responded. The home is clean and well kept. The views are amazing also. I would highly recommend this home to friends and family.

We came with a large group and needed all 8 bedrooms. The house is amazing with the open air floor plan making it ideal for gathering together and hanging out around the kitchen and pool.Julia was great (friendly and professional) and was available for anything we needed. We had an issue with a couple rooms air conditioning not working well when we got there, but Julia had someone at the house within 30 minutes and the problem was solved and the ac was working great.The cleaning crew, led by Gloria, was friendly and did a great job daily of keeping the place clean and tidy. They do not speak much English, but can use translator app if there is any need. We had a friend who was fluent, so he did most of the communicating for us:)The house is in a great spot and within a 10 minute walk to the beach. We were able to charter a catamaran through Julia and they picked us up right on the beach. We also had massages at the home setup and they were great as well.Father Rooster is a close and convenient restaurant nearby with great food and drink and an unbelievable location for views.Would highly recommend and we would stay again for sure!

Unbelieveable Experience!!

We were celebrating a friends 40th birthday with 7 couples. The house was amazing and setup perfectly for everyone to have there own space with a great common area and pool to hang out together. We will most definitely be back with our kids to enjoy the experience! Julia was a fantastic host and made sure we had everything we needed. The rest of the staff was top-notch as well!!

Costa Christmas!

The minute you walk through the door the view is stunning! The house is an amazing architectural wonder with a perfect view of Playa Ocotal. Close to Coco, walking distance to two beaches, and Father Rooster restaurant. You can get fishing trips and jet skis trips out of Ocotal. The house is tidied up each day and you can have a chef if so desired. The outdoor living is Costa Rica at its finest! Our family of 10 had more than enough space to spread out and relax. We appreciated all they did to make it a Christmas Vacation to remember.

All our family rated this as one of the best vacations we've had so far. The property was as advertised with unbeatable views and near proximity to several local beaches. Everyone, particularly the kids, enjoyed jumping into the pool anytime and walking to a beach every day. The house had a well-stocked kitchen, outdoor kitchen with grill/burners, and with plenty of dishes, pots/pan, utensils even for serving/preparing meals for a crew of 18. The catered meals we had were generally well prepared and promptly delivered. We had rental cars making it very convenient each day to go to the local town Coco for groceries and supplies. Getting to nearby tourist activities and LIR airport was also easy and not an issue. The layout of the house has "open" living/common areas, so it is necessary to keep food secured as the wildlife (birds) are extremely opportunistic. There were a few maintenance issues with the house but Julia, the host, was always promptly responsive and great to work with. She and her staff, provided top-notch, friendly service whenever needed. While the house is situated in a nice area, there is a busy traffic road below (with some construction nearby). During certain times of the day (morning, evening) it does get noisy from traffic and mixed in with the wildlife (birds/monkeys etc.). But most hours were generally peaceful. I would recommend this property for a large group get together for a comfortable, relaxing good time.

Beauty by the ocean

We only saw the owner at check in. We used Mauricio for all transportation and event planning. He’s wonderful! Very accommodating and gave suggestions for outings, grocery shopping and dining. The house is beautiful, but it’s outside living. All bedrooms have ac, but the rest does not. The views are gorgeous!

House is beautiful only that appliances need upgrades. Grill not working refrigerators did not cool well. And lots of steep hiking to reach the beaches. Not walkable for elderly people. Which website did not specify.

Amazing property

14 of us celebrated together and had a wonderful time. The host couldn’t have been more accommodating. She communicated great and always responded quickly if we had any questions. The chef service was worth every penny. Food was great and all the additional staff were amazing as well. The area was safe, the house was well stocked, and Mauricio was icing on the cake. He was so attentive to all of our needs and made everything happen for us without any hiccups! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a large space, love outdoors, sunsets and beautiful views!

Womens Retreat

I hoated my annual womens retreat at this location. Everything was as described & the pictures do not do this beautiful home justice. Julia was very helpful and attentive, helping to ensure we had everything we needed leading up to the trip. Mauricio and Team were very helpful in planning excursions and getting us around. I recommend planning to use their transportation service instead of Uber due to the personalization of the experience and attentiveness of the drivers. The house was cleaned daily and the cleaning team did a wonderful job as well. I can’t say enough things about this home and the level of service and care provided. Looking forward to returning.

We stayed at Malinche Palace over Thanksgiving for my 50th birthday, and it was incredible. Julia, the host, was warm and accommodating. The main house immediately impressed us with its beautiful indoor/outdoor layout. Each bedroom is uniquely designed with amazing views, and the kitchen is well equipped, which made group meals easy and fun.The property is large, offering plenty of space to gather as a group while also giving everyone privacy when needed. The honeymoon suite, set apart from the rest of the house, has breathtaking ocean and star views, truly calming and romantic. The small cliffside perch became one of our favorite spots, especially at night when the sky lit up with stars.We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and exploring the walkable area. One path leads to a great public beach and Father Rooster’s restaurant; another takes you to a secluded beach after a moderate hike. I’d recommend having at least one car for grocery runs and convenience.Julia’s team was fantastic. Andrey arranged all transportation and activities, including a private catamaran trip where we snorkeled, saw sea turtles, and even caught fish. Daily housekeeping was a bonus, Gloria was especially wonderful, and the chef-prepared dinners were excellent.Malinche Palace is truly special, beautiful, relaxing, and unforgettable. The only improvement would be updating the honeymoon suite’s décor, but overall, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it.
